Cortina’s Orange

Awesome sandwich shop! Get the Cortina’s Special you won’t regret it! Order a side of pasta salad too! Been coming here for lunch since 2011. It does get packed during lunch hour but it’s worth the wait. You might have a hard time getting a table since it’s a small location. I just take mine to go if there’s no room. Luckily I work just down the street so I don’t have rush in and out for lunch!

Oh my God the spicy sub is fantastic. The bread is fresh with a crunchy crust and chase your sub with some pasta salad

The lines are long because its so delicious. I got (2) 6inch Philly cheese steak, and a meatball sub for myself and coworkers. They did not disappoint! Enough to fill me up and bomb tasting! My new fav spot

I got the turkey sandwich served toasted! The woman who took my order was very genuine and helped me quickly and was able to suggest something. If a little crumbs on the table don’t bother you if you are eating in. This place is a great find. I will be back :) … Just wana say this bread is toasted perfectly and very fresh bread you can’t tell.

Some of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Love this place! The bread is absolutely delicious and they give you the perfect amount of meat and veggies to compliment it. Only down side is that they’re only open until 3 so a lot of the time I can’t make it there before they close.

Probably the second best Italian sub I have had in Southern California behind the Bay Cities Deli Godmother. Awesome bread, Boar’s Head cold cuts. Everything fresh. Tried the meatball sub yesterday. It was also exceptional. Right sauce to bread ratio. Just a great sandwich. They take call in orders and are really quick with making the sandwiches. If you are in the area and don’t stop in for lunch, you are missing out.

Great subs and hot sandwiches. This place was a good find when I was living in Orange. The food and service is 5 stars but I dropped one for the limited business hours. Definitely worth checking out however.

I had the crossfit that is not on their menu. OMG!!! you will not regret it. DO it.

Came here with a small group of friends for lunch. We got lucky and got a table as some people were leaving, but this place was pretty crowded! You order and pay at the front. I got the Rocky Balboa, which is Porchetta with Broccolini and a side of Au Jus, which I didn’t really use. The porchetta is thinly sliced, so I wouldn’t have known it this was porchetta vs regular pork. Anyway, the sandwich was good and hearty at $ 9.50. I only ate half of it. My friends ordered the Corina’s Special, Proscuitto, and Roast Beef French Dip. Some of the sandwiches are a little expensive at around $ 11, but they are filling at least. Everyone enjoyed their sandwiches. Bread was fresh and soft, too.
I also recommend paying the extra $ 1 something for a bag of chips — they sell one of my favorites here, Voodoo flavored chips. And they don’t taste stale and old like the ones from World Market!

This place is great for Italian fast food! Only open for lunch, a must if you are ever in Orange County! My absolute favorite is caprese salad and half of a eggplant parmigiana. Yummo!

1^st time here and the Russo special and it was amazing. I was told by friends that I needed to try this place and I have to say I will be back probably tomorrow. The meatball sandwhich my friend ordered looked soooooo yummy I said I was coming back tomorrow for it. I highly recommend this place and I am looking forward to eating everything on the menu. The staff was super friendly also…

One of the best sandwiches. Had the porchetta sandwich. The sandwich was tasty though it did not have the crispy pork crackling. When I see porchetta, I think of crispy pork skin.
Will return to try other dishes.

Our company frequents here for Friday company lunches! Love the food My #1 pick for lunch, I have tried majority of the food and love it! The Philly cheese steak is amazing! As well the pasta is a must try! You honestly can’t go wrong with any of the menu items! Between my coworkers and my self we have tried it all… Thanks Cortina’s for having such amazing food you have a whole company always begging for lunch from you all :)

This is a satellite location from the main Cortinas in Anaheim. It’s about the same size with a cozy, sort of rustic, barn feel to it. I was really enjoying the atmosphere until they turned on the music :-\
I opted for the penne pesto knowing it would probably be their worst because the pesto usually is from my experience, and the pesto was actually pretty, and because of that I’m confident the other pastas are good haha — I know weird logic.
This location is open earlier than the main location, which opens at 11, but it closes way earlier, closing at 3. If you want more options and more time, definitely go to the Anaheim location.

I’ve only been to the other location until today when I went here the good thing about this location is it seems like it’s more of a lunch spot as to where the other location is a anytime kinda place.
The only thing I didn’t like about this location is that they are only open tell 3pm and closed on the weekends that’s a bummer because I would totally come here before Ducks games as it’s super close to Honda Center!
This time I ordered a roast beef sandwich it was super delicious filling and came with a pickle I really did enjoy the flavor of this sandWhich I think next time around I’m going to go for the Cortinas special sandwich as it sounded super good!
One of my other favorites is the pesto pasta it’s just unbelievably good from the sauce to the chicken it’s bomb and totally fills you up!
I’m sure it won’t be long before I visit this location or their other one for some delicious food that never disappoints!

I love the Italian roll here! This is why I keep coming back and trying different sandwiches. Now for the my short quick sandwich reviews!
Roast beef French dip: really plain even when dipped in the au jus.
Pastrami: not bad not great. Like smack in the middle were you can’t go wrong with this sandwich if you like pastrami.
Prosciutto Di Parma: this expensive six incher is tasty. Salty prosciutto (cured uncooked Italian ham) balanced out with mozzarella cheese and tomatoes.
Capicolla and cheese: Dry cured Italian Ham
Lasagna: cheesy-​licious.

4.5 stars because it was such a hidden gem! We had lunch here to have some sandwiches and it was way better than I expected!
Rocky Balboa– porchetta with broccolini and roasted garlic. I got a 6″ and it was more than enough. Came out nice and hot, really tasty, I reccommend it! I also got to try the roast beef tip and ravioli with meatballs (comes with garlic bread). All the food was great and a great deal, very generous portions.
The parking lot is very odd, but not too big of an issue. The servers were really friendly and quick. Great find!

Sadly, they are closed today, but this place is delicious! I recently tried their spaghetti and two meatballs with side order of garlic bread, which was catered by our work for a coworker’s birthday. It is comparable to the spaghetti from a mom and pop shop in Fountain Valley called Dano’s Pizzaria. I will have to come back and try other sandwich specials, but for now, it totally satisfied my Italian food cravings!

The hours on Unilocal are wrong. This place is only open till 3:00 pm on weekdays and they are not opened on the weekends. I learned this the hard way when I wanted to bring my boyfriend on a Saturday for lunch and discovered it was closed.
When I came here the first time I ordered the Rocky Balboa and it was pretty delicious, the sandwich was very filling and I was quite satisfied. I especially liked the warm sauce that you pour or dip onto your sandwich that took the sandwich to a whole new level. I think the 6 inch option is more than enough sandwich but if you are a hardcore eater then the 10 inch should be more than enough.
The second time I came I ordered the fireball, I wasn’t really impressed it was a little spicy but not what I expected. The sandwich had iceberg lettuce which was bland and the tomatoes didn’t really taste like anything. My boyfriend ordered the Cortina’s special sandwich and again the taste was bland. Maybe the warm sandwiches are better than the cold ones. The subs are kind off pricey but you do get a lot of sandwich. They also have pastas and salads and they have the option of gluten free bread for an extra $ 2.
