The EKB team did a great job on my kitchen installation. The kitchen came out better than I had imagined! I have received so many compliments on my amazing kitchen! :-) They were professional, patient & accommodating to work with. One thing I really appreciated was the timing of the job. These guys are quick! My kitchen was pretty much done in about a week (not counting miscellaneous issues). I would definitely recommend EKB for your next kitchen installation!

I can’t say enough great things for Gilbert and his team at Elegant Kitchen and Baths. From beginning to end, we found everyone we came in contact with to be honest, professional, patient and competent.
We received several quotes for a kitchen remodel and hardwood floor installation for our home. After looking at all of them, we decided on EGAB because we thought the quote was fair, they had outstanding reviews on Unilocal and we really liked Gilbert. He came and took a look at our kitchen and immediately had great ideas– something that really lacked from the other contractors. In all honesty, his quote a was little more than the others, but we sensed the integrity in him that was echoed in many other Unilocal reviews. We didn’t mind paying a little more to know that we would be working with someone who would be proactive in fixing any problems that arose and believe wholeheartedly that you get what you pay for!
Like with any remodel and installation process, there are so many decision– both big and small– and I felt like Gilbert was patient with us and had a true concern for our project. His foreman Bashir was wonderful also. He kept us updated on what crew would be coming everyday and talked with us about little details while giving us his expert opinion.
I can say with all honesty that every crew that came to work on our house– hardwood floors, drywall/​paint, cabinet, granite and tile were outstanding. They worked hard, cleaned up their mess everyday, were kind and patient with my 4 and 2 year old and were nice and courteous to us. That makes a big difference when your life if turned upside down with a construction project, no kitchen and a dust everywhere.
We are extremely happy with our kitchen and new hardwood floors. It has changed the look of our house and have received many compliments.
And, it is worth noting, the entire project was completed in 3 weeks (and it would have been shorter if we didn’t take some days picking out granite and backsplash). 3 weeks! And no corners were cut or work was rushed. We started our project in late October. I told Gilbert he needed to be done by Dec 1 so we could have a happy Christmas, he laughed and told he would be done by Thanksgiving. He was done a week before Thanksgiving. It made for a wonderful holiday season for our family to have a nice new kitchen to entertain with and show off.
We recommend EGAB without reservation and will be using them again for our future bath projects. I recommend you do also.

Elegant did the remodel on our master bathroom. Their prices were competitive compared to the other bids we received. They offer a selection of tiles and cabinetry, but we wanted a different look. They built us a custom vanity and we sourced the bathroom tiles from a different store. We sketched the design and picked the stain for the vanity. It turned out better than we hoped! The complete remodel took over 2 weeks. They worked most weekdays, but took one random day off. They told me they would be over later, but did not show up. I ended up calling them at 4pm to find out that they weren’t coming in that day. I took one star off for the lack of communication on their change in schedule.
There was an error with the bathroom tile installation, but Tim and Matt’s team fixed the problem. Elegant did a great job making sure we would love the finished bathroom. They even called after the remodel was done to see how it was going. I highly recommend Elegant Kitchen and Bath!

I just wanted to thank Gilbert, Tim, Emmy and Faith at Elegant Kitchens and Bath for the awesome kitchen and laundry room remodel at my condo in Irvine. I contacted Gilbert and told him about the remodel project I had in mind and he said he would be in the area the very next day and could stop by to take the measurements and give a quote. He showed up on schedule with Tim and another gentleman to take measurements of the kitchen cabinets and the laundry room. I told him what I had in mind and he gave me some suggestions. He worked around what ever I had planned. My main concern was the kitchen counter-​top that was flush against the window sill and since I was planning on getting new windows I wasn’t sure how the new counter top would sit against the new window. He assured me that it wouldn’t be a problem and that the project would take about 10 days. We went to their showroom in Orange to look at some cabinet samples and counter-​top colors. Me and my wife couldn’t decide on counter colors after picking the cabinet color and material (Millhouse Black Forest) so Gilbert and Tim gave us the names and addresses for a couple of granite/​quartz countertop distributors in the area and suggested we take a look there since they would have a wider selection of stones and gave us the Black Forest Wood sample from their showroom to take with us so we would be able to pick the perfect countertop color. They even offered to come with us to the distributors. We picked two colors for the quartz countertops and gave Gilbert the option to pick one that would fit the width of our counter since we did not want any seams or lips on the counter. I just wanted it to be one big quartz slab. Gilbert worked around my other window remodel schedule to make sure they would get started with the kitchen cabinets and laundry room demo the day after the window installation. Before the material was ordered, Gilbert and Tim came once again to re-​measure everything and make sure everything was accurate.
The project started the day I had it scheduled. His guys showed up on time and a couple hours later the appliances were uninstalled and the kitchen demoed. The new cabinets were delivered the same day as the demo so the timing was perfect as Victor (their master cabinet installer) was able to take inventory of the new cabinets as they were being unloaded from the freight truck and make sure everything was in good condition. They made sure that the area was kept clean as they worked in the kitchen. The new cabinets’ installation started the very next morning which was followed by the countertop guys coming in a couple of days later to cut the stone on site after taking measurements. The quartz countertop came out perfect. I was really sweating it but as promised it all fit perfectly. Kudos to the countertop installers as well (sorry don’t remember their names). Throughout the project I kept in contact with Gilbert and Tim via texts or emails if I had any questions. As promised the kitchen and laundry room project was completed on time and Victor came back to do the finishing touches on the last day.

Great job and a «shout out» for Elegant Kitchens and Bath! So far we have completed two projects with them, a bathroom addition and a kitchen remodel, and both have turned out exceptionally well done exceeding our expectations.
The bathroom work was particularly tricky as it involved wheelchair accessibility in a home which wasn’t built for that. The EK&B team did a terrific job of making it all work out.

Kitchen done by Fidel. His helper called out so he had to do it by himself, but it looks great! Small showroom, but stocked full of samples. Everyone we dealt with… Mario, Emmy, Fidel, etc were very kind and helpful. Definately referred them to relatives and we are saving up for our bathrooms to be redone!

So happy with the results of our bathroom. We had originally gotten a quote with a few different vendors who installs facades over your shower and vanity, that was so expensive and I thought it would look cheap and fake. We found Elegant Kitchens and Bath, Tim came out and measured our bathroom, explained what they do, no fake plastic overlay, we got a new vanity, beautiful shower with tile, a new tub and it was all done so quickly too. My only thing that I would say (which is why we didn’t give it 5 stars) is they weren’t too concerned with covering our floors. When they did the wreck out I had to make sure they would cover our hardwood floors and carpeting going up the stairs. When that was done, they took their drop cloths, so the next phase, my husband had to ask 3 times to cover the floor prior to starting, to avoid tracking all the dirt up the stairs on the carpeting. They put a flimsy plastic down that eventually got torn up, I wish I would have purchased a roll of that plastic that sticks to the floor and carpet to protect from the dirt being ground into the floor.
Other than the lack of concern for our flooring, I would certainly suggest using this contractor. I read some of their other comments, and yes, their showroom is a little limited, however, they have everything you need to choose from, you just have to give your sales person an idea of what you want, and they will find it. Tim was extremely patient with us when selecting our tile and cabinetry, he took all our calls when we had concerns, and was receptive when we gave him our final feedback about the job.
The one suggestion we made to Tim is that you make sure the person doing your job inspects all the supplies that the homeowner is providing prior to starting the job. We had ordered our toilet and it was not opened until the day it was ready to be installed, and they found that it was damaged during the shipping, so I had to run to Home Depot last minute and return the toilet and buy a new one, had they found it when they started the job, I could have ordered another on line and had it when it was time to install. We also had some wrong plumbing fixtures that slowed the work down and caused us to go out in a mad dash to get right supplies. Just a suggestion that if this isn’t done on the first day, to ask your lead contractor to inspect everything on the first day.
We have another large bathroom that needs to be done and we would certainly use them again, and recommend them to others who were thinking of redoing their bathroom.

Curteous appointment making and showing up as planned for estimate, even got a call before appt 30 mins prior to confirm. Two stars for the tacky conversation on rough quote costs during appt. «If you think this is 8−10k…then why am I here?» Is what I was rhetorically asked. Then making me follow up for estimate and callback days after the 2 hour walk thru of the two bathrooms. When I finally got a call back, Tim advises 40k for two bathrooms… joke. They are the highest estimate of 3 by tens of thousands. The showroom is kind of dissapointing as well. Not really a showroom to justify 40k on two small bathrooms with included standard tiles and materials. Beware if you have some idea on reasonable costs for two standard looking bathrooms, this place is waaaay over priced.

I found elegant kitchen and bath through Unilocal so I feel like I should post something about them. When I called I spoke with faith she was so helpful she send talal (hope I spelled his name right) he came in and we discussed what I wanted and he had me go into their showroom it was small but they had a lot of varieties of everything there. Before I found elegant I had met up with a few other contractors but talal gave me a price I had to say yes too. The main person who worked on my kitchen was Fidel he was a very hard worker he did pretty much my whole kitchen on his own and it looks amazing. So thank you to elegant k&b. Everyone that has visit my house so far said it looks like something that came out of a catalog !!!

Gilbert at Elegant Kitchens and Bath is one of those rare people that goes out their way to help others out. Though he couldn’t personally fix my laundry countertop issue (it is Corian), he came up with several helpful suggestions and put me in touch with someone who could. I made so may calls to other people and Gilbert was the only one to take the time to help me out. Super professional and helpful!
He also gave a very fair and competitive estimate for a complete quartz countertop remodel job. We will definitely be getting in touch with Gilbert at Elegant Kitchens /​Bath when we renovate in the near future.

I had a great experience working with Gilbert and his staff. Although there was some delays, but it wasn’t something that he has control over of and he had managed to get my bathrooms done in a professional and timely manner. The contractor, Samer, was a pleasure to work with. He is fast and efficient and his works are very professional. Overall, I’m thankful and happy with my bathrooms and hoping to work with them again.

These people are great. Gilbert, Emmy and Faith — it was a pleasure to deal with them. Gilbert is the owner and the main man. So, deal with. He is honest and gets the job done.
Their tile and glass work = great! They could improve on their paint work. During the project go over the details carefully and let Gilbert know if you don’t like anything — he will get them fixed.

We hired Elegant Kitchen and Bath to do a large remodel in our home. We had two bathroom remodels from the studs and our entire home tiled with porcelain tile. We highly recommenced Elegant Kitchen and Bath! They are professional, timely and completed beautiful work in our home. Gilbert was a pleasure to work with and assisted in choosing beautiful tile for our home. Our contractor Samur and his crew where clean, timely and very professional. The office staff Emme and Faith keep up updated and were a pleasure to work with. Elegant Kitchen and Bath worked with us to make sure were were happy with the work in our home. We love our new bathrooms and flooring!

We had our bathrooms done this summer and they look beautiful! Elegant stayed on budget, which was reasonable, and customer service was stellar! They don’t make you feel bad if something isn’t just how you want it. They want to make their customers happy and want the job done perfect! Every one of the team members are awesome — Faith, Emmy, Mario, Bashir, Gilbert… all made us feel well taken care of!

We are very picky and demanding clients, and have gone to a few other places before we ended up at EK&B. Gilbert has promised us a very reasonable price for all 3 projects (kitchen and 2 bathrooms) and has specified a definite timeline which we were skeptical about. However, every single promise was fulfilled and within the time promised. Every issue we came across in the process was immediately resolved. Gilbert is a man of his word and an excellent leader of his awesome team of professionals. We love our new kitchen and bathrooms and keep getting compliments on the quality of the work performed. Contacted Elegant for an estimate on a new bathroom vanity. They were nice to work with on the phone. A gentleman named Mario came out for measurements and specs, and he seemed to know what he was doing. He promised an estimate within 1 to 2 days. A week goes by, I call their office to follow up, and the contact on the phone says she will follow up with Mario for me.
It has been 3.5 weeks since the measurements, and no estimate. I have moved on to other contractors.
Update: Gilbert (owner) personally reached out to me upon reading this review. Turns out there was an error in my email address, which obviously resulted in me not receiving the estimate. While I wish my follow up phone call a week after the estimate would have resolved things sooner, I certainly appreciate them reaching out to figure out what happened. Upgraded to 4 stars.

I had an old 1950’s house with a very small bathroom and it really, really sucked. I saw all the positive reviews for EK&B. I went in and met with their designer and after a while I found a tile that was exactly what I was looking for. I walked out of that meeting feeling like the bathroom was headed towards a great remodel.
The thing that impressed me about them was that they didn’t care about selling me a ton of bathroom stuff. I was expecting that they force me to go with their stock of sinks, showers, etc but they said if I found something better that they would use it. Great it was like I was really free to design the bathroom I always wanted.
This is a double edged sword as I’m not a plumber so I chose what I thought looked good. Unless you know for 100% sure that everything is going to work have them double check your materials BEFORE things get installed. They did give me great advice about the tub and which one I should buy. I didn’t get the tub I was initially wanting but after looking around I found an even better one which was fantastic. I wished it was the same as I ordered a tub faucet from signature hardware online which turned out to be a major problem. My one big regret on this job was that they welded the tub plumbing into the wall and tiled over it when they had reservations about it working properly. At the time they welded the part in the wall they said they could make it work, and as a non-​plumber, I just accepted they would be able to do it. I would have rather purchased a different shower setup than have something installed in my walls that could be a bigger problem down the road. In my opinion they wanted to make me happy and probably thought I was going to be disappointed because the part I ordered was wrong. Be sure to tell them if anything is questionable, no matter how small an issue, that you get something that is 100% going to work before installing it behind a wall of tile. My tub faucet caused the shower to come on anytime the tub was filling up with no way to stop it. This turned into an issue that caused some friction but ultimately an easy fix was put in place to correct it by using a valve at the shower head.
The price was nice but I still had to buy all the equipment on top of the costs. Additionally there was about $ 300 in spare parts that needed to be bought to make the job work. I’m sure that’s true with all jobs but this was my first major reconstruction so I didn’t know what to expect.
At the end we had some bumps in the work which caused a bit of stress. There were several items that seemed like the crew rushed to get out of my house and didn’t finish the job with the attention to detail they had been doing up to that point. When I came home on the final day I was feeling like the whole thing was going wrong. My shower didn’t work right, the light switch was upside down, the attic cover was left up in the attic, the medicine cabinet was binding against the wall, I had a hole in my closet where they punched through the wall raising a light switch, and the sink didn’t drain. It was a lot of things in a very small space so while it may seem like easy fixes for those who know it was just like every wall in that bathroom had an issue going on with it and the job was supposedly done. Never fear though after talking to Gilbert he did address the issues the next day with the sink unclogged two days later.
Ultimately they bathroom is very nice and everything works out in the end. The tile work was some of the best I’ve ever seen and we had a ton of tile work done on this job (about 70% was tile). I was very happy I did go for the remodel it was something I needed to do for a long time. If you have an issue with anything call Gilbert or his team and they will work with you. Again save yourself headache down the road and if you’re unsure about any product ask before you buy online; otherwise, get it from home depot or lowes.

Gilbert and his crew completely transformed our house. Our house was dark, with a cramped kitchen and a dining room we couldn’t really utilize. Gilbert worked with us for over 9 months while we planned, changed our minds, and discussed options. In the end, our house is bright and open; people can’t believe this is the same house. The work was completed on time, on budget, with excellent craftsmanship. If we weren’t completely satisfied with anything, Gilbert was quick to discuss options with us and put a plan in place so that we got the finish we wanted. Thanks Gilbert and everyone involved.

I was looking for a reliable yet affordable contractor to remodel my kitchen, bathroom and flooring. I was doing a lot of research on Unilocal and I was meeting with a lot of contractors to get quotation. I ended up choosing Elegant because of the following reasons:
1. Gilbert (the contractor) is professional, fair and passionate about his work.
2. Pricing wasn’t the lowest but fair for the amount of work.
3. I decided to trust the good reviews posted on Unilocal.
Gilbert quoted me 2.5 weeks to get all the work done and his team delivered on time! Of course there were hiccups here and there (as you can expect from almost all contractors), Gilbert and his team did a great job in delivering the promise. They were also very flexible to work around my schedule. The quality of work is great and I like how they pay attention to details.
Overall, I am very happy with the team and the results and I would totally use them again.
