Fly By Night Disc Jockeys

I used FBN for my recent wedding. They were AMAZING to work with. We had Larry as our dj and I feel so very fortunate to have had such an invested, dedicated and talented dj at a our wedding. He definitely goes above and beyond and truly listens to his client. There is one very special moment, in which my now husband was struggling with the decision to do the mother son dance. Larry listened and heard his desire to carry on with the dance, even as my husband was explaining he did not want to. Larry encouraged him to have a song planned just in case. I know this meant a ton to my husband and this dance turned out to be one of his favorite moments of the wedding. I have so much gratitude for Larry and the special songs he chose which were a reflection of my partner and I. I highly recommend FBN, they definitely put in the work to make your event personal and special and are extremely accommodating which is greatly appreciated when you are going through the whirlwind of planning a wedding.

Fly by night was fantastic through the whole process! They were quick to respond to all our needs and concerns and very helpful and professional. Carlos was wonderful the day of our wedding. He coordinated everything so smoothly we didn’t have to worry about the schedule. Most of all he made our night easy and so much fun and kept the party going!

We used Fly By Night for our wedding last August, and it went off without a hitch. Our initial meeting with them at the showroom was to go over what type of DJ we wanted, what type of music, and things like that. Received homework to go through their playlist sheet to select songs that we wanted as well as the order of events and other MC-​related things. Icing on the cake was when I found out Larry was familiar with Japanese pop songs and video game songs. On the night of the wedding, the lighting was great, the audio was great, all the guests loved the selection of songs Larry played, and I heard from some of them that they thought it was an awesome playlist (especially from friends of our same generation).

I hired Fly By Night for a Karaōke night after a long seminar day (I’m an event planner). Jaimes and his set up guy were totally cool, got the little tech hiccups that happened settled before our event started, and gave us a really fun night. Jaimes was very accommodating, finding songs, singing a long, being a great announcer and making our night a success. Rock on Fly By Night!

Jaimes is amazing. His knowledge of music styles is astounding. He’s a killer MC and the best DJ we’ve ever had. He knows how to make your wedding reception work. I’ll never forget that night. Thanks Jaimes! My wife hired him again to do the corporate party for DSW. Perfect job again. You won’t find anyone better.

I can’t say enough about Fly by night. Music is huge in my opinion and I was very particular with who I chose to represent our wedding. Larry met with U.S. And we went over our music tastes. He listens and took everything in. I gave him a list of songs that were must plays. His execution was perfect. I would recommend Fly By Night for any meaningful event. Not only are they outstanding, but fairly priced.

We don’t often write reviews but Jaimes deserves some public recognition. He met with us a couple of times to prepare to DJ our June 28^th wedding reception. He was enthusiastic, professional, and spot-​on in matching our musical tastes, even going out of his way to find obscure tunes that my fiancé requested! It was truly a fun, special night, with many guests commenting on our awesome DJ! We definitely recommend Jaimes to anyone!

We LOVE Fly By Night! Jaimes was the DJ for my sister’s wedding about 4 years ago, and we were thrilled with his work then. When it came time to plan my own wedding we called him right away. Not only did he remember my sister’s wedding, but he also remembered some of our preferences from that event (clean music, etc.) and was mindful of them while planning mine.
Jaimes provided an initial consult at his office, where we were able to discuss everything from the exact timing to the evening to specific song selection. He knows his music!!! When we weren’t sure what songs to choose, he had a variety of options to show us to help us decide. He was knowledgeable about all sorts of genres and really had an enormous library of music to choose from. He also supplied different choices for dance lighting as well as uplighting for our venue walls.
A few days before the wedding, he called me to re-​read his notes (he took detailed notes of what we wanted at our consult) and confirm that he was not missing any of the information. It was great, as we had a couple of changes that I had forgotten to email him about.
At the event, Jaimes was a dream. He knew how to read the crowd and keep the dance floor full the entire night. His transitions were excellent and everything flowed seamlessly. The BEST part was that he was dancing and enjoying himself as well — we loved it!
Excellent customer service and work for an unbeatable price. I will use FBN for EVERY event that could ever possibly require a DJ.

FBN saved us! We lost our DJ a few days before our wedding, and FBN stepped in to take over. We met with Larry, and he was great to work with. He helped us with our music and pretty much everything else scheduling related. Our wedding went off without a hitch, and our DJ was a hit at the party (he even went and took some shots in the photo booth!) We couldn’t be happier with their service.

Very reasonable pricing and professional, Larry really helped me pick my wedding music, I didn’t know what the heak I was doing and he worked with me to pick the perfect songs. The night turned out great, Jaimes was our DJ and he executed everything wonderfully. Thumbs up!

Wow! What can I say about Larry Barnett and Fly by Night… They played at my wedding a few year’s back and did a great job!
I will also say, that I own an event center in Orange County and do well over 120 weddings per year. After seeing bad performances by other d.j.‘s, I decided to make Fly by Night our exclusive D.J. & MC, as well as lighting company.
You see, I love weddings, and understand the importance of delivering a beautifully executed event. In our industry, the bride requires expertise, know how, a well seasoned professional, a person that is easy to work with and gives you a PERSONALIZED EVENT, a vendor that gets it right, the first time!
Larry, interviews all of his clients, and takes time to find out about the them, the music they love, and what they don’t. His company is well operated, they have top notch equipment, lapel microphones, great speakers and over all, staff that has been with the company for many years, the d.j.s really know how to rock the party!
So, take the time to meet him, you will love the guy, he is warm, caring and above all knows his stuff. I recommend Larry to all of my brides, he also plays other social as well as large corporate events. Recently, he went to Victorville to play a huge party for a client of mine, even spent the night out there. Only a very professional vendor will do that. Props to Larry Barnett and Fly by Night! He won’t let you down!

I just got married in July at the Historical Cottage in San Clemente and had Fly by Night DJ my wedding. It was easy when I was looking for DJs because Larry, the owner had also done my sister’s wedding and I was very impressed by that. When we went in for our music meeting, he was great and really understood the music and vibe we wanted to have at our wedding. Furthermore, he was able to really read the crowd on the day, which ensured everyone was dancing. He was really easy to work with and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend them to any of my friends!

Ok this outfit is amazing! Jaimes was my initial contact. Great guy, very knowledgeable. Started the process. I chose the dj, Debbie. Watched a video. She seemed awesome. Had a planning meeting with the boss man, Larry. Cool guy. He hooked me up big time. He basically helped me PLAN my whole freakin wedding! It was amazing. These guys can do this shit standing on their heads. Then the wedding… Debbie is fantastic. She kept the flow. Kept me on track. Made a few suggestions, and I had a great wedding! I would hire these guys again and again! The dance floor was always full. LOVE LOVE love FBN!

Fly by Night was one of options on the required DJ list for our wedding at The Clarke Estate in Santa Fe Springs.
After interviewing quite a few options, we settled in on Fly by Night due to their price, professionalism, and variety with DJs & music. We did struggle on selecting a specific DJ, as many of the DJs we were interested in were not available or no longer working. However, then Larry, the owner of FBN, offered himself up as a DJ — and it was a match!
Larry was great at helping us finalize both our special songs and the general playlist for the night. We’re two people who don’t necessarily know what kind of music we like — but we definitely know what we DON’T like! After patiently sitting through a full music session with us, Larry hit it out of the park at our reception — the music was perfectly in tune with what we were looking for.

Larry worked with us on planning our 20 year Reunion for University High School in Irvine. Not only was Larry totally flexible with our schedule and zany requests, he also added tremendously to our event by playing MC and bringing the crowd into a frenzy. He is a professional, and courteous operator, our first experience with Fly By Night and no doubt we believe Larry provided a fine service. We would have no hesitation in asking Larry back for our 25^th Reunion! Thanks Larry!

Larry of FBN was the DJ at our wedding this summer, and he was awesome! From our first meeting, we knew that Larry got our taste in music exactly and would be a great wedding DJ.
Larry helped design the playlists for both the ceremony and reception, as well as advise us on the scheduling of the evening (cocktail hours, speeches, dances, meals, etc.) We met with him twice to hammer out the details, and we felt 100% confident he would execute the perfect wedding we had created together. When the big day came, Larry did not disappoint, and everything went perfectly.
Most importantly, though, everyone was happy and dancing the whole time, and Larry kept the party going without being intrusive on the flow of the evening. Larry was the perfect DJ for our wedding, and his expertise in the Orange County wedding scene certainly helped make our wedding one to remember. We would definitely recommend Larry and FBN DJ’s for any wedding or special event in Orange County.

I’m probably a bit overdue in writing this review, but it’s better late than never. Fly By Night DJs did my mom’s retirement party over at Dad Miller Golf Course on 12÷1÷12. The catering manager there recommended FBN and so I contacted them. Jaimes helped me out from start to finish in the planning process and he was great! He had excellent communication and I was always in the loop of things. I also got the chance to meet Larry and he was really helpful too. He even called me about 24 hours before the event to confirm that everything was set and if I had questions/​concerns to contact him. Jaimes gave me forms to fill out that were very helpful in organizing what songs we wanted to have for the evening and the top 10 – 15 songs we for sure wanted. Jaimes also helped me out in selecting a DJ for the evening by providing me with a link to read up and watch videos on all the DJs that were available for that night. I got Raymond Salas as our DJ and he was awesome!
Raymond was able to play almost all the songs that my mom and I wanted to be played at her party from our top 10 – 15 list. He also played other songs we selected from the second list of over 1000 songs. He was really good too in gauging the audience and playing the right music at the right time to get them onto the dancefloor (many relatives of mine are shy to get on up and go dance, especially be the first to go on the dancefloor!). But it was a fun night. I even saw relatives who rarely dance at parties actually go and dance! Raymond also helped emcee some of the activities in our program for my mom’s party, and he did a great job. Everyone told my mom and I after the party that Raymond was great and they would hire FBN and get him as their DJ if they were to ever have an event at a venue or party hall.
I highly recommend FBN. They are just great!

totally disappointed! Their generator kept breaking during my wedding ceremony; killed the mood to say the least. Even after giving them a playlist, they ended up playing Mission Impossible music… no way jose! Go elsewhere.

Our DJ Ryan was awesome! The crowd was on the dance floor all night! He definitely knew what he was doing when it came to being a Master’s of Ceremony for the wedding.
