J & J Wedding Events

I was hired by J & J Wedding Events to MC and entertain at one of their events. Karen is very organized and knows how to put on an event. She queued me for all my parts and did a great job coordinating everything from the participants to the decorations, to the structure of the entire event. Her team is very professional and even wears ear pieces to communicate amongst themselves. Though I was part of the work crew, I enjoyed myself so much that the host even invited me on their party bus. I had a great time and hope to work with J & J Wedding Events again.

I am beyond thankful/​blessed to have had Karen coordinate our rehearsal and wedding that was this past January 2, 2015. My family is a handful! There are quite a few of us, and the guys just love to mess around, but Karen was able to get everyone on their A game come the day of the wedding. Karen and her husband are an amazing tag team and honestly help put your wedding nerves at ease. They made sure that everything went as smoothly as possible, from getting ready, all the way to making your entrance for the reception. I’d recommend J&J wedding events to anyone in need of a little help getting all the details squared away for the big day.

I’ve said Yes to my Wedding Coordinator! After meeting with a couple of coordinators, I have decided to go with Karen from J&J Wedding Events. I was actually part of a wedding that Karen coordinated and I was impressed how smoothly everything went, especially given our rowdy (and maybe slightly inebriated) group of bridesmaids and groomsmen. The wedding itself was classy and elegant, yet had a relaxed-​enough vibe where guests could have fun celebrating the couple. Karen also assured me that she has coordinated other events, including milestone birthdays and anniversaries, which showcases her ability to work and be flexible with different types of crowds, cultures, etc.
I think the best part about Karen is that she only does wedding coordinating as a hobby. She is a Registered Nurse/​Nurse Practitioner by profession, but she loves weddings and celebrating events so much that she decided to start this side business for fun. That, to me, illustrates how passionate she is about this busines and in making other people’s special days memorable.
I’ll post another review after my event, but for now I have been nothing short of impressed by Karen from J & J.

Karen from J & J Wedding Events coordinated our wedding this past Saturday (7÷26÷14) in Anaheim, CA. I will add pictures when we get them all together, but I wanted to review ASAP to say thanks for everything she did!
I can’t say enough how amazing it was to have someone like her to help us through the day. Just a week before the wedding I was worried that the day would be a disaster for me, my fiancée, and for all the guests. I was so stressed about every little thing going right that day, and with no experience planning any wedding (much less my own) I was sweating tiny details and over-​thinking everything. I had heard so many horror stories about the bride and groom not being able to enjoy their own wedding that I set my expectations for the day so low that I would have been happy if my guests had fun even if I was miserable running around like a chicken with my head cut off!
When the day arrived, though, I could not have been more surprised! Not only did it seem like all the guests had a great time, but I actually did too! I learned quickly to trust that Karen knows what she is doing, so every time I started to worry about something I put my faith in her to make the right decision for the day. Every time, she turned out to be right and what seemed like big problems to me were smoothed out immediately without any of the guests even noticing.
What’s even more impressive is that I know our wedding wasn’t the easiest one to organize — it was on a smaller budget than most weddings in the area, it was woefully under-​planned until very shortly before the wedding day, and it had such a diverse group of guests (in age, religions, cultures, states, countries). With all of that the day could have been boring/​uncomfortable/​just plain awful for some if not all of our guests… but with Karen’s help the day turned out 500% better than I could have ever hoped going into it.
