Jim «Bones» Ashton and his wife Karin first opened Jimmy Bones in May of 2003 and the bar continues to be run by the family.

Don’t know what I was expecting, but I was more than pleasantly surprised. Dive bar… Yeah, okay, maybe technically, but in the best sense. Overall friendly, clean, and great service. And I think I saw a sign indicating they have pickled eggs… Nice!

Love this place. It’s the best dive bar in town. Matt is one bad ass bartender. I know because i manage bars. Owe come here all the time just to enjoy his services.
Oh and the hot dogs are bomb! I was shocked!

Cleanest dive bar in Orange County, no it really is. White sangria is what I look forward to. Love how you can get a bunch of sports on at one time and not have a problem with people wanting to watch different games. It may be a small bar but the patrons are super cool and nice, which makes you feel welcomed even if it’s not your home bar.
PS: the nachos are good

Walked into the bar and I was greeted with a hey how are you by the greatest bartender ever Jack! He’s an all around funny cat that will make you laugh while giving you the perfect drink. Got the best jack n coke… Even though you really can’t mess that up. But everyone is cool with a smile on their face. Best dive bar around…

Cool little hole in the wall. In the Rite Aid shopping center, it’s a tiny place with a few tables and bar, so you’ll miss it driving by. Atmosphere is relaxed. No knuckleheads. Just people grabbing sine cold ones and enjoying each other’s company. They have TV’s but no food from what I see. Definitely coming back.

I’m in love with this bar. With huge Tvs playing on every angle. This place is truly a gem. I live only 400ft to get here. The bartenders are great and they all make a great drink. Everybody keeps to themselves, so while I frequently end up drinking alone. It’s always a great time. Best times to go is sun-​thur. Wells are 2 for 5 ft 9-​close

The employees are nice, the drinks are a good price & strong too. Loved the atmosphere but the people who go here… Not so much. Had an encounter with a bunch of drunk old racist men a while back while with some friends.
Wish I could frequent this place more often because it’s a cool place, but I’d rather not go to places that generate that kind of crowd.

This is the first time I’ve ever been here and let me tell you this is the friendliest bar I ha e ever walked into!!! All the customers in here honestly make you feel welcomed and the bartender, Jake, seriously one of the nicest bartenders I’ve met in a while. He had no problem answering any questions I had. They have a small menu but they have take out menus behind the bar so you can actually eat what you want and not have to leave the bar! They also have a good truck that comes by!!! Best idea ever!!! We will be coming back not only because the staff and other customers in here are super friendly but because this place is what a bar should be and is relaxing and fun!!!

This is a great place to grab a good priced beer or a very well poured cocktail. Every day has drink specials of some sort. It is a local type bar which isn’t a bad thing. Not sure why anyone would complain about a heavy pour like I saw in other posts… But there are several TV’s to watch games and a jukebox to throw on some tunes. The bartenders are really friendly and are attentive. Every time I’ve been there and not sat at the bar they come out and introduce themselves. I would definitely recommend dropping by to see if it’s your vibe.

This place is great. It’s one of my favorite dive bars. The drinks are strong and cheap. The bartenders are attentive and efficient. The pickled eggs are delicious. We live around the block so it’s only a 5 minute walk. The bar is conveniently located near a 24 hour walk in taco place. It’s perfect for those late night munchies.

Stopped in for a Bloody Mary on Sunday. On Sundays they have a $ 5 special on Bloody Marys with 2 garnishes of your choice. (celery with salami, pickled egg, salami & olives) Our Bloody Marys were so strong that I had to pour in a lot of Tabasco just to mask the straight vodka flavor. This could be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on who you are haha.
They also have $ 5 shot specials for Watermelon Kamikazes, Cactus Cooler shot, and Jaeger shot. ($ 6 if you want a Jaeger bomb)
Not my favorite dive due to the pool table being gone, but I’d still come back.

This is a great little bar I stumbled upon while trying to find a cheap local place to wet my whistle. It is a bit of dive/​sports bar so I wouldn’t recommend first dates here…(unless she is awesome), but it is great for boozing on a budget. They have TVs with sports, a 75 cent pool table and many specials… but best of all is an every day 3 dollar 24oz Pabst. Drink cheap! Also (although I have never seen it) there is a sign saying they got Wii! Really!?! How does that work? I wanna do drunken Wii tennis with strangers… who wouldn’t? Hell, I’d even bring mine just so that damn thing can get a little action… hopefully me too.
Not too much bad to speak of… no designated smoking area… just out front and out back. It is a little small as mentioned and the crowds seem to be a bit older… but hell, if it saves me a cab ride and i can get a buzz going under 15 bucks… I’m in!
