i heard about this place so i decided to check it out. The place def lacks visual appeal like the other people have said. ive driven by this place my whole life, never knew it was there. The place looks rundown but ive seen worse. it didnt look dirty, jus old. The place opens pretty late. i believe til midnight, most nights. Now the food? the food was forgettable. The ribs were good. the sauce makes them. The ribs itself, what they gave me barley had meat on them. It just wasnt quality ribs. They were dry too. they just put their BBQ sauce over it. The mac and cheese tasted like a beginner made them. IIII could make better mac & cheese. The collar greens? i shouldnt have bothered. The green beens? Go to Popeyes. The corn bread, which the guy serving us forgot until i mentioned that i get one, was good. But the guy picked it up with his hands. i didnt like that. He was touching money and other stuff. not sanitary there. but ill live. Overall eating their food. i was bored and unimpressed. Especially by their sides. I most likely wont be returning because nothing made me really want to go back. They’re affordable but im sure you can find just as good if not better BBQ food+sides elsewhere. If this place went in business down south, they be closing down in a month. It’s just us northers, dont know good BBQ. and we never will with places like this. They could do better

If you love bbq. U will love this Place. Real fire and charcoal here. You have a choice in sauces mild or hot(I mix). the chopped Bbq is also good. there sides need a little fix up but they work

The ribs are great and the sauce makes them even better… rib sandwich is perfect for one… i would not recommend any of the side orders… establishment lacks visual appeal… take out only

This place is horrible. Point. Blank. End of story. The food was so bad I couldn’t finish it and the service just as bad.

First off, went in this place because I heard they have good ribs. Conversation goes like this: Me: This is my first time here, how much are the combos and what’s it includes. Sweaty bald no personality guy: Proceeded to tell me the pricing and combos. Me: Ok. I’ll have mac n cheese, Collard greens and ribs. Sweaty bald no personality guy: It’s going be 10 to 15 minutes. Me: Ok. So he starts putting my sides in the white containers Collard greens and Mac n cheese then he proceeds to the ribs on the grill turning them over and then he took a rack off the grill with a tong and HISBAREHANDS. He starts to cut the slabs into pieces touching my ribs ALLOVERWITHHISBAREHANDS. Meanwhile, I notice the ribs meat looks pinkish(I’m thinking food poisoning). So the conversation ends like this: Me: You don’t use gloves(WTF). Sweaty bald no personality guy: He has them(with a snarky look on his face). Me: You can keep that and I walked out! I can’t believe the lack of professionalism and service I was about to receive. I don’t know WHEREHISHANDSHAVEBEENANDALSOHE’S HANDLINGCASH! Give me a break. I don’t care how good the food is supposed to be THEYWON’T GETMYMONEYWITHTHATTYPEOFSERVICE! This place gets 1 star from me the food did look good though. Good luck. PEACE!

Man I had no clue the food coming out of this place would be that good. How the hell did I end up here, that is a very good question. So were driving to Atlantic City and were picking up a common friend on our way. Having missed lunch we wanted to grab something quick before our ride to AC. One of my friends suggested this place. This place is old and definitely not at all upscale, having said that food here was awesome. We walk in they have a TV playing some old movie and guy inside selling some music cd’s(funny set up). There was this long ass line but we decided to wait for food. Apart from selling ribs they do sell other variety of food too but everybody was waiting in the line for those dead awesome pork ribs. They take good amount of time to make those juicy ribs. One can choose from mild or extra spicy sauce which they use to coat the ribs with. Ribs with two sides was just a $ 10 dollars, I had the potato salad and yams as sides. That was a lot of food for 10 bucks. They do sell their famous in house spicy sauce in small containers for 5 bucks. Definitely a place to stop by if one loves BBQ ribs.

I have been here many of times over the years Everyone says When did Mcdonalds start making BBQ that always makes me laugh .i say Rib-B-Que .remember that? first the place is not the most desirable place its a hole in the wall .its a dive bbq spot if there is a such thing. Anyone who lives in the neighborhood knows the smell of the this place it lures you in. Its run by Caribbeans mainly Jamaicans they put some love inside of these ribs. I have named it «all that goodness» but seriously they are really good usually i have ribs its«Dry’ tasteless at other places but these pork ribs meat is so tender best BBQ I ever had Entering this place there is a sign that indicates the ATM offers 5.00 bills also there is a guy selling DVDs in side he even have«AVENGERS». Now you walk up the guy that serves the food is similar to the Soup Nazi but he is Jamaican with a heavy Accent. No need to fret because the food is worth it. Being in there it was packed at 7pm. conversation went like this McDonalds BBQ Rib Guy: What is everyone Waiting for! Crowd: RIBS McDonalds BBQ Rib Guy: How many you want Couple of Guys in Front of Me: 1 whole SLAB McDonald’s BBQRIB Guy: Damn! MEHAFATARUSH dem RIBS ehh? Yup yup everyone was eager and happy to wait for the ribs 45mins to an hour .So I was with a fellow Unilocaler we ordered 3 dinners which is 10.00 each. comes with Ribs and two sides I got the Mac and cheese, I’m in love with the Potato salad, Friend got the Same rib dinner with Yams and potato salad. The only thing It seems to always happen they forget Corn bread which is superb, if you don’t ask for it they will never remember to add to your bag of food Pork Ribs are so tender falling off the bone then the Sauce spicy or mild. I always go for SPICY I’m not sure what they put in it(mustard?) but you can buy it also so when ever where having a BBQ we always get the gallon for 10.00

The place is a hole in the wall. Not the cleanest of places. Looks like they have a neighborhood following, since cleanliness does not matter to people when the food is good. The ribs are great. The sides are pretty bland. The collard greens taste like they are from a can. I suggest purchasing the sauce, go home and make your own ribs. And the customer service is ZERO! Why does it seem like the people behind the counter have major attitudes? You are after all, buying from them! The only reason they got 3 stars is because of the ribs.

I’ve been going to this place for years. As a matter of fact I remember this guy from the old«Brothers BBQ» that use to be on South Orange Ave in Newark. The prices are good, no where near the $ 32.00 per slab they charge here in Park Slope. The hot BBQ sauce is sick(I get it on the side) and the ribs are meaty. The Chopped BBQ is very good also. My only complaint is that the owners need to step it up a notch and find a slightly larger and more appealing location.

When I recruited my GF to my side of the coast, I was excited to show her all the amazing cuisines that the San Francisco Bay Area has to offer. Embarrassingly, we have yet to find really good BBQ out here. Decent BBQ, but nothing mind blowing. Not to say there aren’t great BBQ spots in the Bay, just haven’t found any that suited our tastes. So of course, on our visits back to New Jersey, she couldn’t wait to take me to her favorite BBQ joint. She boasts tender meat and spicy sauce that’s sweet but not excessively sweet. I must say, I was not disappointed. This BBQ spot is nestled in the corner of a small and smoky parking lot… smoky for good reason though. A big, old sign points out the otherwise easily missed location. Back to the food: The meat is pretty good, but the sides are less than memorable… but that’s better than being memorably bad, right? The sauce was great. We ordered half a gallon of it to take back to Cali with us. Again, not too sweet, spicy as requested, and a nice kick of extra mustard.
