Fantastic work! We got several quotes and Steve was by FAR the cheapest.
–Great communication before, throughout and follow ups. Responds almost immediately to communication.
–Professional.
–Wore shoe covers in our house since we don’t wear shoes in the house.
–Laid canvas out everywhere. There was hardly any dust from the work.
–Patches walls just like they were originally.
Keep in mind that because they are extremely busy, the company may have to schedule you a month out but it’s well worth the wait!

Steve and his crew installed 18 recessed lights along with 4 gimbal style and 2 bathroom lights in my Yorba Linda home. Professional, on-​time, quick, clean, great communication, and licensed/​bonded/​insured should there ever be a problem. Based on the excellent work he did for me along with all of the other glowing 5-​star reviews and their busy work schedule, it sounds like Steve never runs into problems! I needed 3 ceiling fans installed. I live in an older condo — so the job was not easy. I made an appointment and had to wait three weeks — but it was worth it!!! The guys showed up — assessed the situation and got to work. There were a number of obstacles and they surmounted them with ease. I was nervous the job could not be done. At the end of it — I had beautiful fans, a cooler house and was very happy. I even mentioned how one of my light switches did t work right — they fixed it!!! The crew was very polite and friendly. I am planning on doing some more work and they will be my first call. And if I have to wait another three weeks — I will wait!!!

When I had scheduled for my home and was excited for my day, my parents also asked to book them for 6 lights in their home. Their install came around last Thursday finally, lol.
With Steve, it seems to be the same result every time, no surprises.
Quick communications via texts (I was the point man) on when he would be showing up to parents house (he was juggling 3 projects in one day it seemed!). Unlike me, my parents were present to watch how things got done and my father kept saying the same word as I had told him before, «professionals»…
He said 6 holes in ceiling which got covered by lights, and 2 holes on the wall above switch where wire got routed. He told me he couldn’t even tell where the holes were after patching was done, he said surrounding paint must have been blended into the patch somehow, so no need to even paint! I said no way, his aged eyes must not be seeing as well as my bad four eyes…
Visited them this weekend to take a look. The switch was near a corner of the wall and the paint color there was light, so the patch primer color doesn’t contrast much with the surrounding wall. I mean I can see the difference in the colors from the slight shadowing around the textures of original color vs white primer textures not showing shadowing since so white, but it indeed is not that noticeable so maybe it can be left as is like my father said, lol! I tried taking a photo, probably not the best photo but you be the judge.
If I can find leftover paint in his garage, I’ll touch it up for him next time, but I see what he meant by his initial reaction ;)
Mom was ecstatic with the resulting lights and the modern feel of the room, she wants to do all the bedrooms, but that’s a discussion they can have lol.
My job of arranging the work for them is done and was as easy as pie thanks to Steve. I’ll go back to working on my house stuff now.

A couple years into owning our home we decided we needed more lighting. I found Steve through a craigslist ad. He installed 4 ceilings fans gracefully and very fast.
A year went by and my wife and I decided we needed more lighting downstairs, we got a total of 10 LED recessed lights. Steve again was very fast and professional. He installed the lights, patched up the holes. I also wanted some low voltage wire pulled through the ceiling to have surround sound. I bought the wall plates and speaker wire to use, and I had him run the wire through the ceiling.
I would highly recommend Steve and his crew for any electrical job and low voltage wires.

I needed a contractor to replace & add lights in my kitchen. Additionally, I needed to add lights to my «great» room. I chose Steve and Next Level Lighting & Electric and could not be more pleased. They truly merit the highest rating possible.
First, the quote for the job. After describing the project to Steve over the phone, he actually gave me an accurate quote for the job. There were no surprises or last minute changes after arriving at my home. Plus, he required no deposit. 3 other contractors had to come to my home to give me a quote, all of which were significantly more expensive and required a deposit. In fact, their requested deposits were nearly as much as Steve requested for the entire job.
Second, scheduling and job duration. Steve told me he and his team would be here at 8AM and the job would take about 5 hours. He and his team arrived on time (actually 10 minutes early) and completed the project in about 3 and a half hours. I’ve dealt with a number of contractors in the past and this is something I’m not used to, but value highly.
Third, accuracy and cleanliness. The team covered up the floors and walls of the area being worked. They also covered the flooring from the entry into the work area. They were very accurate with the placement of the lights. I also had some old lights removed. This required drywall repair, which the executed very well. The patched area was left in «paint-​ready» condition. There were no unnecessary holes or damage. And, there was no need to have the housekeeper perform an an out-​of-​schedule cleaning.
Fourth, the end product. There’s not much to say, but it’s the most imporant. I now have beautiful lighting that suits our décor and needs. It’s something me and my family really enjoy.
The final score. I delayed having this work done because I was afraid of the cost, the mess and my fear that the contractor wouldn’t complete the project in a timely manner (due to my experience with other projects/​contractors). With Steve and Next Level Lighting & Electric, I no longer have these fears with regards to lighting and electric work. For my next project, I plan to move forward with our upstairs bedroom lighting with Steve and Next Level Lighting & Electric performing the job.

Called several contractors for a quote on recessed lighting job in my home. Wanted 13 lights installed in the living room (3) and family room (6) downstairs as well as the upstairs loft area (4) each with dimmers. I went with Next level based on their reasonable quote, but mostly because of their outstanding communication through the whole process.
Steve and his crew showed up promptly at the time scheduled. Steve had me walk him through the rooms and explain what I wanted done in each room. He provided his expertise on the proper layout for each room to provide proper lighting while considering its aesthetic appearance.
The crew laid down tarps on all the floors and then covered all the furniture in plastic to ensure the rooms would not get covered with drywall dust. After marking all the joists, Steve marked the circles where the lights would be installed. He then went over each room to make sure I was ok with the placement.
Then the work began. Steve and his crew know what they are doing! Other than the circles for the lights, only one 3 inch hole in each room was cut out in the drywall to tie in the lights to the dimmer switch. The patchwork and texturing of the holes blended seamlessly with the existing walls and left for touch up paint. After each room was completed, Steve had me review the work to make sure it was to my satisfaction. The crew cleaned up and put all the furniture back in place. There was no need for me to clean up after they had left!

Steve is the perfect example of professionalism. I can say that he will go the extra mile for his customers. There was a miscommunication regarding when he would provide an in home estimate. After noticing this, he dropped everything to come immediately to provide the estimate. That alone deserves 5 stars.
I continued to ask him questions via text and he always responded immediately.
His guys handled all the preparation. He went over all the fixture placements and answered all my questions. After the work was complete, he either fixed or tried to fix all my observations. One was unfixable due to my ceiling itself was not even!

The quote: We got quotes from five highly-​rated companies on Unilocal,and Costco, and Next Level beat them all by thousands of dollars, without haggling. We worked with Steve the entire time. He met us, asked us what we were looking for, heard our ideas, and IMPORTANTLY gave his professional opinion on how we could take what we wanted and make it better (optimal light placement, types of bulb housing, dimmers vs. switches). He gave us a quote without the negative upselling that comes with quotes («hmm, no that’s going to be a problem because your house is X, Y, Z… yeah, I’ll have to get a special thing for that if you want that there.») It was a low-​pressure meeting and he was knowledgeable but didn’t try to corner us like a salesman.
The workmanship: I’m not going to go into details about the lights and switches because every biz gets their stuff from the same place. The thing that sets them apart is the PEOPLE. Steve came in and did the work with a team, and even though he told us he was understaffed, he didn’t make excuses or drop in quality. Observing him and his staff is great because 1.) he is funny and tells good stories and 2.) you can tell he has faith in his workers — it is great to see him take the time to show them what he is doing and teach them the details to be an experienced pro like him.
Bonus– he and my team were nice to my dogs all day.
Here is the kicker: We had a temperamental light switch (because our house is 50 years old with an add-​on) and asked someone to come back out and fix it. I expected a run around since the job was considered finished but Steve took the opportunity to show us why he is five star-​rated and been in business for so long — he came back and fixed the issue with no gruff, completed some extra items we decided we wanted at the last minute, made everything right, and was very pleasant about it. I cannot stress enough what a pleasant business this is and what a genuinely, standup guy Steve is. I’ve recommended him to everyone I know.

Steve and his crew did an excellent job, this is the 2^nd time i have used them, this was a much bigger job, they did it quickly, neatly, and it turned out great, i will be using them again.

Steve is the best. He did 22 of my recessed lights affordable and quickly (1 day of work). He stands by his work and when I asked him to come clean up the patchwork, he promptly did so. Nobody can tell anything was patched.
Would recommend to everyone for his work, his attitude, and dedication to customer service.

Okay, I have been looking for quality electricians to install two ceiling fans, one in my room, which has a vaulted ceiling, and one in my daughters room. I received a few quotes, many of which were much higher due to the vaulted ceiling in my room. As many people know my personality, I am very neat and tidy, and can be a tad bit OCD. But I want a comfortable summer this year, so I reached out to get a quote via Unilocal messaging, and received a response back within an hour or so from John. Amazing quote, far more reasonable than I had received from other companies.
Fast forward to today, my appointment day; Steve came to my front door promptly on time at 8 AM and we discussed where the ceiling fans would be installed (I purchased my ceiling fans). He had his crew come in and start the construction and installation. What impressed me was the great customer service and impeccable courtesy from all four gentleman and the care they all took in insuring my condo was taken care of and left clean and neat.
I will definitely be recommending Next Level Electric to family and friends for future needs. Steve, and John, were very professional and provided excellent service and a finished product.
p. s. — Yes there will be patch work after brand new outlets are installed. Its a construction install, the stucco replacement is a dead on match to my ceiling and walls. I will touch up the paint as soon as it drys, not a big deal.

These guys are great — installed two new recessed lights in two of our bedrooms in 1.5 hours. They did not have to make any cuts in the drywall either. Covered the entire area in plastic as well, so there was no mess. They were able to pull the ceiling fans out and run the power from there. Best of all, the cost was only $ 250 (plus $ 25 for each of the four lights I bought at Home Depot). These guys were rocking and rolling and obviously know what they are doing.
For my other two bedrooms I did previously, I used a guy I kind of know who took 6 hours for one bedroom and 4 hours for the other, while making a big ass mess. He also had to make five cuts in the drywall in one of the bedrooms. I paid him over $ 800, which included materials, so I figure I’m out $ 300-​$ 400 more than I would be if I used Next Level Electric. Needless to say, I learned a very expensive lesson about hiring random dudes you meet at bars — don’t do it.
I also had Next Level Electric install four recessed LED retrofits in my 20 foot ceiling at the entrance of my house, which two different electricians told me that it was impossible and too high. Well lo and behold, Next Level Electric came over and did it in under 30 minutes. Steve — glad I found your company and thanks for the good, fast, and clean work!

Purchased a chandelier from RH and was going to tackle the installation solo. After looking at the ceiling junction box, instructions, and weight of the chandelier, I knew this would be best left for a professional.
Unilocal’ed and found Next Level Lightning with full 5 stars review which is completely warranted. Steve responds quickly to all questions and the prices are more than fair. He is busy, which is a good sign, so scheduled install about 2 weeks out, and he confirmed 2 days before the install date. Arrived RIGHT on time with his crew and installed the chandelier in 60 minutes… DIY, I would still be trying to figure it out 1 month later…

My wife and I needed to have an electrician add an outlet, mount a flatscreen in our bedroom, and have no wires showing. Steve and his team came in and did an awesome job. The reason he had a team is because he squeezed us in to his already busy schedule early in the AM before another big job he had the remainder of the day. He even gave us advice on our future plans for putting tv’s and lights up through out the house e.g. what looks best where. The biggest points that Steve gave us were:

Due to the electrical in our home we needed to small holes cut in our walls and the repair/​patch work was perfect. I returned home from work to find all of our lighting in and I was incredibly impressed.
