I’m in love with this place! I’m not a huge beer drinker but that might change after trying their raspberry beer. Yum! I love the location and how loyal the locals are to this place. That speaks volumes. If you’re in the area (or not) stop by and a enjoy a few cold ones. Cheers!

They are open again! Typical brewery tucked behind industrial buildings just before/​after the train tracks (use them as your guide when trying to find them on your phone!), with about 5 rotating beers. I personally tried the Streetfair Orange Wheat beer. It’s beer that’s more tart than your usual orange wheats/​whits (Hangar 24, Blue Moon, Orange Wit, etc) so it might be a bit of a surprise to the palette.
The brewery itself has a moderate old town Orange feel… Many locals here that’ll clean up their tables, chat with the bartenders, and shoot the breeze with other customers — which I think is great.
They have about 8 – 10 bar stools, a couple of tables, and several other random seating areas thrown around. Based on where it’s at, the abundance of other breweries in the area, and their lack of heavy marketing to entice many to come here, I think the number of tables and chairs is plenty.
If you’re a local from Orange, you MUST try this place out. If you’re here for a game or concert at Honda Center or Angel Stadium — try this place out before/​after your event to get away from the touristy crowd. And if you randomly got off the 57 by accident and happened to run out of gas just outside… Might as well get a cold one here, right?

This place is awesome! Went with a group on an Orange County beer tasting tour and this place is right up there with Barley Forge! Nice people serving and all the beers were really good! A cool little Gem of a place! We will be back.

Their beers are decent but there was a communication problem between bartenders that was not professional and left a bad impression. I ordered pizzas and beers at the bar and the girl at the bar said she had to run my card separately for drinks and food, which was fine. So I paid for everything and signed 2 receipts at the bar and we got our drinks and waited for the pizzas to be brought out.
After I left I found out from a friend in my group that a man came after them as our group was leaving and said no one paid for the pizzas and demanded payment. I had already left so they were confused and paid him cash for the pizzas. I ordered and paid for everything at the bar, so if there were any payment issues a check should have been brought to the table and things could have been easily sorted out. The man that came after them was rude and this kind of communication issue between servers shouldn’t happen.

How on earth this place gets the rating it does is beyond me! I don’t know how it stays open. The beer is consistently bad. Occasionally, they have a decent one on tap, that is a rarity. I truly wish I could give this place a good rating, but can’t. I wish they would find a knowledgeable brewer. Do yourself a favor and go to some of the other outstanding breweries nearby.

This place is a gem.
They have a beer for virtually every palate and not only are the crew here very friendly, so are the regulars. They now serve pizza, so next time I am in I will be able to try that!
I have a service dog, and even he loves going there. he is made more than welcome.

Without a doubt, get the stout.

Cool place to hang out! Came here last night with some friends. I tried the blonde ale which was my favorite. If you’re a light beer drinker, this is for you! I also tried the smudgepot which was surprising good! Very chocolately! I personally couldn’t drink too much of this but it was a good little sample. They have couches, heating lamps, tvs, and even a bunch of games including a giant version of Jenga. Pretty cool! I’ll be back!

Nice hole in the wall, decent beer, just mislabeled in the style. The triple IPA is really a double or triple Belgium, nothing IPA about it. Really good beer and nice service, too.

True to its name, Old Orange Brewing Co emulates everything central to Orange, CA: small business, hard work, happy vibes and great service. You can tell that the people who started this place have a real passion for what they do. It may not be a brewery-​restaurant like Stone, and you may have to circle through an industrial complex or two to find it, but OOB is a non-​pretentious craft beer haven for beer geeks who really know their stuff.
The selection is small, but quality trumps quantity. The brewery has their 7 – 8 year-​round beers that are always on tap, but every now and then they come up with a seasonal beer only available for a limited time. They have everything available from tasters to entire kegs. Their beers are also available at a few local restaurants.
I haven’t been in about a year (I moved), but when I was able to visit more consistently, they had food trucks parked out front on Friday and/​or Saturday nights. Those who are expecting hot meals at OOB should realize this is a tasting room, not a bar or a restaurant. But when they have food trucks you can bring your meal inside and it makes for an awesome combo.
All in all, a great place with a ton of heart.

I’ve been to many breweries, in southern California in general, and the local area — this brewery is pretty standard. No frills, no crazy unique brews, just good beer.
The tasting room itself has a bit of a divey feel, which isn’t a bad thing, but doesn’t necessarily make me want to stay for a long time. Some beers, like the pale ale and IPA were on point, while the blonde ale was very disappointing and had a Coors light flavor to it.
Free peanuts and board games to keep you full and occupied.

This brewery located near Angel Stadium has a nice easy relaxed vibe. The beer selection is small, but the quality is good. This would be a nice stop before a Angeles or Ducks game.

I own a wood-​fired pizzeria in Reseda and am as passionate about pizza as one can get. Nothing, I repeat nothing pairs better with my pizzas than the beers of Old Orange. When you combine an Old Orange with one of my pizzas it’s magical. It’s like a perfect marriage.

I’d had this place on my bookmark list for quite some time. Were checking out a couple other breweries in the area and decided to stop in. It was a Saturday afternoon and the place was about half full with about 10 other patrons there. It definitely has an «old» feel. The place was a bit divey and rundown feeling. The crowd seemed to be filled with regulars, but all were friendly enough while enjoying the beer and tunes.
They don’t have flights so we just grabbed a couple pints and found a table. The beer was fine but nothing super memorable.

Stopped here as part of the Brew Hop Bus tour and was highly pleased with this destination. We received flights of every beer they had to offer and needless to say it they were fantastic (the New Zealand IPA my personal favorite). It’s a small brewery with a casual atmosphere and great people. It’s definitely worth your time.

I can’t really think of anything positive to say about this brewery. The group huddled at the bar appeared to be regulars that had already tied one on within an hour of this place opening. The Beertender was cordial but really looked like she would rather be at a thousand other places then serving beer at this place. The décor reminded me of the old bars stools that my parents parted with in the 80’s. Most importantly, the beer… I could not find anything good about the beers here. Their taps may need to be cleaned as I received glasses that were mostly foam. The beers tasted flat and a few had a really bad smell. I didn’t stay long and relocated to a much finer brewery that is in the neighborhood.

Great place to have a beer. The vibe is one of the better ones for Orange County breweries. No pretense here, just some people who enjoy beer. It’s a good place to hang before an Angels or Ducks game as it will more than likely be less packed than Noble. Seems to be an old man hangout. Nothing wrong with that.
The must have beer is their Smudgepot Stout. It’s usually served on Nitro and it’s delicious. Give this place a try if you’re on the fence. Good beer and good people.

The beer selection is great. What sucks about this place is the service. The female bar tender seemed to be hired because she was a female to attract males. A man that seemed to be the owner gave horrible service.

I am a beer geek and can be very picky about my beers i consume. Old Orange Brewery is one of the best around. The beers are simply great! Personally i like the atmosphere its like a get away from home. I highly recommend this brewery! great value for the money aswel,

I really wanted to like this place. The vibe was cool and unpretentious, with fun art on the walls and ample seating. The bar tender was really nice, too. But unfortunately, the beer just wasn’t very good.
We tried tasters of all 8 of their current offerings. Most of the beers were pretty one dimensional. None of the flavors popped. The mouth feel of the darker beers was off. The IPAs were super bitter and not well balanced. And the red ale actually tasted soapy. They didn’t have any beers that I would be happy to order again.

It’s almost as if they picked up this place from the High Desert complete with the regulars and moved it the OC… the one beer tender working was great but you can tell she had her regulars and was extra friendly with them. Don’t get me wrong… I’m a big girl and I like to think I know my shit when it comes to craft beer, so I definitely don’t need to be babysat or ask redundant questions about booze.
Their smoked Hefeweizen was unlike anything I’ve had… I’m a Hefeweizen girl so I really loved this… enough to take a growler home.
The Backseat Blonde pale ale was also delicious… but it wasn’t at standout like the hef…
They don’t offer flight testers… so you gotta grab testers, half pints, and pints.
I can’t blame the brewery for the nascar loving crowd… but should I ever come by again… I’ll grab that smoked Hefeweizen to go…

Story Time: I finally got to visit this Brewery, quite possibly the closest I have ever lived to a brewery! I love craft beer and will give any place a try that says they offer craft beer, but for some reason, this place was not hitting my radar.
I have mixed feelings after my first visit. The set up is great. There are plenty of seats, a TV to watch some sports, and they’ll get a food truck or get someone to cook and you pay minimal for the food. The big plus is the seating, and the interior decorating which includes massive posters of their beer labels. The artist who does their beer labels is incredibly talented, so it makes for great brewery art. As for living room art, you may want to ask your girlfriend if it’s ok to hang up the «Backseat Blonde» before you purchase the lovely poster, only to leave it to collect dust in the closet.
As for the atmosphere, I actually appreciate that someone from this brewery is a Broncos fan, and invites his/​her fellow Broncos to watch the games. It makes it more interesting to have people boo and cheer than have the TV on just for the white noise. What this place is like on any other day? I haven’t got a clue.
The beer is where the stars come in… or get lost. More lost than in. To focus on the positive, I do recommend their Smudge Pot Imperial Stout. Wow, it is complex and not 2-​dimensional like some of their other beers are. It’s as if they are still looking for a flagship style of brew. Their beers were not experimental, nor were they memorable, except the Smudge Pot. So that’s unfortunate that I can’t recommend the others, though I hear good things about the «Thumb Master» IPA.
In the end, if you’re limited on time, visit Noble Ale Works Brewery instead, which is a stone’s throw from the Honda Center and Angel’s stadium.

Old Orange is one of the many great breweries currently open in Orange County. The brewery has an awesome little tasting room that is open to the public that we highly recommend checking out. It can be kind of hard to find, it’s in a little industrial park tucked in a little ways from the street, but when you find it there is plenty of parking and lots of great beer.
When we went in they had quite a few beers on tap. If you are new to craft beer or just want to try your hand at some of the different options they also offer flights of beer in smaller taster sizes.
One thing that is really cool here is that they have the brewing equipment on display so you can see how they make the magic while drinking away.
If you are hungry when you go I heard they sometimes have food trucks there, they didn’t the night we went, but they did have sammies from Cortinas, so good!
