Had a few last minutes before a hike and decided to run into this place. I knew I had to come right back afterwards. I CANNOT believe I graduated fom Santiago Canyon College and never bothered to go here. Along with a variety of items, Pacific Ranch Market also carries many wonderful varieties of different foods and drinks from around the world, not to mention the overwhelming variety of wines to choose from in their wine selection. The day I went they also had, what tasted like, home made salsas samples to try. As a plus, they also carried home made greeting cards and photography, and further, adorable kitchen trinkets for that person in our life who adores cooking. I wanted to just clean out the store. I LOVE this place. It’s just another great selective neighborhood food market, UNLIKE anyone else.

moved to the area recently and made a point to stop by. the good — pastries from the bakery… mmmmm — homemade salsa!!! best, most flavorful salsa verde i’ve had in awhile. — free coffee samples! — homemade chili from the deli was good and very meaty. the meh — prices. i’ve heard about the quality of the meat and seafood, so i guess the prices are somewhat warranted. i didn’t buy anything from the meat/deli counter other than the chili because it’s just too expensive. but i’d rather go to albertsons down the street and get something substantially cheaper for just about the same quality. maybe a little less. — frozen food selection is lackluster — customer service is neither here nor there i won’t be a regular shopper, because for what i buy and for what my budget allows, it’s not worth it for me to come here. however, i’ll be back for more yummy pastries and to try more salsas.

Good place for meat; fish; quick access to nice selection of wine and prepared foods; we had lobster and crown roast for holidays and they were both excellent.

New owner took over in the past year. Not the same. Miss the old manager, Kevin and other managers too who were always visible smiling and greeting customers. Went there to get bakery Christmas cookies which is a family favorite. Every other year there used to be shortbread cookies in shapes of bells, angels and other things that were so tasty and the frosting pretty and tasted great. No longer. Cookies were not attractive and did not taste good… dry. The cookies are half the size and cost more. The bakery is going downhill. Items not fresh and sit there too long. Macaroons bought were old and stale. Also, too much junk in the aisle areas now making it hard to get around with basket. Deli — keep meats too long too and guests got food poisoning. Increased prices on deli meats too. Produce and guacamole are probably the best things going at this market. I now go to large stores for everything else because bakery, deli and prepackaged meals are just not fresh anymore.

This upscale specialty market has lots of variety in cuts and types of meats, fish, and poultry. It’s sometimes the only place you can find special cuts without ordering in advance. There are many choices of nuts and dried fruits as well as fresh fruit and vegetables. Their wine selection is extensive. The employees have always be kind and courteous. Surprising, while the food prices tend toward the high end, the wine prices are pretty competitive.

I have been going to PRM since it first opened which has been more than 20 years and loved it! I love it even more know. It has been totally redone and it is absolutely amazing. You can find anything you can possible want. It is so beautiful, moved things around, hundreds of new products and the salad bar is know at the front of the store with 3 times as many things to pick from. I love the fact that you can ask any department manager to do a special order that may be unusual and they are so happy to do it. I love the home made dinners that are packaged up to take home with so much variety it is hard to pick. I have always felt that the employee’s were all my new best friends. It is truly the best market, bar none around here.

I really like this market, they have just about everything I need. They carry a decent amount of organic produce just enough to get by. The meet selection is great the butchers know their stuff. The prices are what you would expect from a small market but not too bad. My favorite part is walking through their beer and wine selection which is about a quarter of the store.

What a great little market! They have a great selection of dips(artichoke dip is mighty yummy), meats already prepared(we enjoyed the Carne Asada), the ground turkey is fresh and no pink slime in it — like some other markets. The prices are a lil bit higher, but you can’t beat the quality of the meat, deli, and specialty items. They have a variety of various wines for the wine afficiando. I just wish they had more beer to select from. Will definately be back!

Decent. Nice produce. … Pet peeve is when checkers have conversations between themselves acting like there is no customer in front of them. Rude. Has happened over and over again. Unreal, Who does that?!

This was our Whole Foods before there was a Whole Foods. Price tend to be on the higher side compared to your local super, but the quality is there. My wife loves the bakery. Me, too. The muffins can’t be beat. They even make packaged mini-muffins that are the same soft deliciousness, each one a 2 bite package. Perfect for kids. The bread? Also killer. You won’t find better dinner rolls. Lots of great produce and fruit. But there are two stops here, besides the bakery, that can’t be missed. First, the wine shop. The guys who run this have an outstanding selection. There are the bargain buys, of course. But ask for Phillip if you’d like a special bottle of Cab or a Chard of a different shade. For wine geeks, there are real finds here(mostly in CA wines). Very cool selection. Second, the deli turns out some amazing sandwiches. They even made us a delicious breakfast sandwich off-menu. The Italian sub is one of the best I’ve tried. In fact, every choice has been outstanding. We always stop here for our lunch supplies before heading out into Santiago Canyon to hit the local wineries.

I am extremely disappointed at the customer service displayed at this mediocre establishment. I came in to buy a few items but before I began shopping I needed to change my 8 month olds diaper. I went straight to the women’s restroom located behind the deli to change my child’s diaper and to no avail there was no changing station as I exited I was stopped by the manager and he rudely accosted me and said so are you only going to use my restrooms and not buy anything. I have never been so offended by someone while simply trying to change an infant child’s diaper. To all mothers of young children who live in Orange I strongly encourage you to drive a couple miles down the street toward Orange County mining company you can shop at Stater Bros or Albertson’s. They have better prices and better selections. I will be emailing a formal complaint too bad I did not catch the name of the manager.

I love the deli food. Those teriyaki wings and mash potatoes taste fabulous. I love the food from the deli. This place has a really good meat department if you are looking for organic.

I came here looking for organic produce and they had a decent supply, I was able to get organic strawberries and tomatoes(paid a premium for this but glad to find them close to home). Their bakery is truly one of a kind — I have bought the fruit gateu and peach pie and various cakes and cupcakes. Their rotisserie chicken is juicy. They did have delicious samples of cut fruit including oranges, tangerines, watermelon, which was nice for my small kids and kept them entertained while I shopped. Nevertheless would go to Albertsons for my every day shopping because the selection is better and they also have the organic stuff.(Example: horizon organic milk with DHA which was Not available at pacific ranch). To summarize: I think of this more like a specialty store, for their one of a kind bakery, special wines and cheeses, and select organic produce.

I’m officially packing my bags and moving to Orange! This city is full of hidden gems awaiting to be found. A grocery store can be cute and this is the epiphany of one. After a visit to the coffee shop in the same plaza I stumbled into this market aimlessly looking for a quick lunch. I roamed the aisles and neatly stocked fresh fruit department until the path lead me to back corner of the store. This is where the glorious goods are lodged until the rightful owner comes to purchase it. They offer many generous portions of onsite pre-made meals such as lasagna, enchiladas, pastas, and buffalo wings. Along with fresh pre-packed salsa, pico de gallo, guacamole, and spinach dip. Unfortunately I couldn’t purchase all the items I lusted over due to the fact that I would have to leave them in my car for 3 hours. The car is not an ideal place to store perishable foods. In addition they carry a wide variety of wines, cheeses, and breads as well. Overall this market will be biding for my attention along with Whole Foods. The only downfall is nonexistent juice bar.

So could I love coming here with my friends and tasting their chips and salsa and always getting a little treat from their bakery. They have a huge selections of goodies from baked goods to delicious ready to go meals. I came here for a delicious coffee drink named«The Grumpy Cat» and been coming here for other cool things ever since and everyone is just so polite and sweet.

I love this place and have been coming here since it was Irvine Ranch Farmers Market. We live down the street and they have the best quality fruits and vegetables at a very competitive price. Great sandwiches at the deli counter, hot foods, and are pretty competitive on booze. Awesome fresh bakery The butcher counter is high quality and priced accordingly. The pork chops are good priced and the pollo asada and beef pinwheels are amazing. Staple products are also very high so we usually get those items at the Albertsons around the corner. All in all, one of the best small grocery stores in the area and anyone in the area needs to stop by. All locals must frequent regularly to keep establishments like this around.

This is a real nice market. Great salsa and a top notch meat selection. Beer, wine and booze appears to have expanded. And the deli looks really good. The down side is that it is expensive, but quality usually is.

This review is purely for the bakery. It was not a typical request of a grocery store bakery, but we had them do our wedding cake. The thing was a masterpiece with white chocolate curls adorning the outside. It was a white cake with strawberry and custard filling with a whipped topping. Wasn’t only pretty but it was the best tasting wedding cake I have ever tasted. We tried the caterer’s cakes, but were sorely disappointed as they were pretty dry and not that delicious. This cake was moist, flavorful, and we couldn’t get enough. Hopefully I’ll upload a picture for you guys. AMAZING. Strange place for me, as a non native santa anan, to get a wedding cake, but I would go here again and again, because they absolutely delivered. Plus it was way cheaper than the caterer’s cake, even with the cake cutting fee.
