Specialties

We specialize in USGS 7.5 minute (1:24k) series Topographic maps and keep the entire US in stock. In addition, we sell USGS 1:100k series Topos, USGS 1:250k series Topos, Bureau of Land Management (BLM) maps, Raised Relief maps, and have a selection of Geological Survey maps and Rand McNally road maps, Tom Harrison maps, and National Forest maps. Plus we have two very loveable dogs named Bridget abd Lebowski.

Established in 2011.

We are a family owned and operated business. We recognized a major shortage of topographic map venders, so we took it upon ourselves to fill that niche. We aim to educate and satisfy any customer need to the best of our ability to ensure their satisfaction!

I just got back to the office after visiting Pacific West Maps and I must say that I am quite impressed. They have hard USGS Topo maps for the ENTIRE USA in three scales. They also have BLM maps and a couple other types of maps that I wasn’t familiar with.
If you are still a fan of paper maps (as I am) then you really should visit the location in person. The staff (Brian helped me today) was friendly and courteous and will help you narrow down which maps you need. They will pull a map and let you look it over to be sure it is the one you want. For a backpacking trip to 3rd Stream Crossing, I bought three maps (Devore, Cucamonga Peak and Telegraph Peak.) I really only needed one (Telegraph), but I wanted the entire route in paper so I bought the other two for the road leading up to the trail.
If you don’t want to visit the actual storefront, that isn’t a problem, they offer all their maps for purchase through their online store.
One other thing that I really liked about Pacific West Maps is that they will give (that’s right, GIVE) you an index map for any state (s) you want one for. I picked one up for CA so that when I need to get other maps, I can know which ones I will need before I go into the store. At the very least, I will have a good idea beforehand.
All in all, I had a great experience with Pacific West Maps. They have now become my sole source for topographic and BLM maps.

This place is a hidden jewel! A great local resource for maps of all kinds! In the age of internet ordering from fuzzy photos, its been so nice to visit this family owned shop and actually handle and explore the topo maps myself! Brian has been great to deal with and exceeds in his customer service! His dad has a wealth of knowlege and is equally as caring about their customers. A++ to these guys (and their dogs)!!
