I have been going here now for 3 years for a reason, the dental assistants are super sweet and friendly! They know me by name and Dr. Kim and his wife are always so polite and truly make going to the dentist a pleasant experience! I still highly recommend them!

Terrible dentist.
He recommended dental work that costs over $ 2000.
I went to another dentist for second opinion and was able to get the work done for less than $ 800.
He’s rude and very impatient.

Dr. Kim has been my dentist for over six years now, and I leave each time satisfied. I highly recommend scheduling an appointment with his office now and save yourself from more costly problems down the line. His office is clean and his staff is friendly ever. Highly recommended! He is so gentle and nice that he made me forget all about my fear of going to dentists. Last time I went to his office for my wisdom teeth removal, the whole thing was done in no time, and with no pain or tension. Dr. Kim is really cares about his patients!

All the reviews were right! Dr Kim is really great. I have had the WORST experiences with dentists until now. Dr Kim was accommodating to the fact that i didn’t have dental insurance and was kind enough to look at my teeth to see if an x-​ray was necessary this visit because he knew I was trying to keep the cost down. He cleaned my teeth and they feel awesome! I haven’t had an actual dentist clean my teeth in forever! I’m going to come back in 6 months for another cleaning and I can’t wait! Front desk and assistants were also really nice. Thanks for a great experience!

Dr Kim is the best dentist I have EVER been to-​and I have been to a lot for many years. I just had a procedure for my gums and while it is not my favorite thing to do, Dr Kim did such a good job I have to share. He explained everything to me as he always does and was very gentle. I have recommended him to some of my friends and they all agree with me-​he is the best! I like how his equipment is kept nice and he is up to date on it. The first time I went to see Dr Kim I was very surprised that he cleaned my teeth himself and didn’t numb my mouth! That is how good he is. I have been seeing him for a couple of years now and if I would have had him throughout my life I no doubt would have better teeth. All of the staff are great and very knowledgeable as well. I highly recommend this dentist!

Incompetent front staff… told them i needed extraction and had to be put under… made me come in and said they couldn’t do it. had to take time off work… should have told me in the phone

Absolutely the best dentist I have ever been to, hands down, in every way. Dr. Kim goes out of his way to keep his equipment up to date, accommodate his patients needs, and his procedures are painless and quick. All of the anxiety I used to have about going to the dentist has been completely eliminated and I’m very comfortable in Dr. Kim’s knowledgeable hands. If you’re looking for a family dentist, this is the man to go to. His dental assistants are also really nice.

I’ve been dealing with major dental issues since a childhood accident at 10 years old. For the past 21 years, I’ve visited several dentists, oral surgeons, and spent countless hours in dentist chairs. Dr. Kim is by far the best, and is the only dentist I will go to from now on. He sincerely cares about his job, he educates you about everything he is doing and he is gentle. Also, he is a perfectionist, and has created the most beautiful smile for me. I am so grateful to have taken my friend’s recommendation about him! His staff are also very professional and polite. I was really embarrassed about my consultation at first because I was missing teeth and I felt so insecure, but they were so kind and made me feel really comfortable. Thank you Dr Kim and staff!

I came here for my first time because my long time dentist just wasn’t doing the job I felt I deserved for the price.
I came to Dr. Kim because a friend of mine mentioned there was a good dentist in the plaza she works at. I figured I’d give it a shot.
I was not disappointed. Dr. Kim is very detailed takes his time talking to you about all the issues and possible scenarios.
I am scheduled to do a root canal with him next week. Wish me luck!

Mr. Kim took two of my wisdom tooth out and did an amazing job. He was very gentle and always made sure I was not in pain. During the procedure he kept asking me if I was ok and if I had pain he would inject me with more numb shots. Two days after my procedure I received a call from his office just to see how I was feeling. I thought that was very kind of them. Hands Down one of the best Dentists I have ever encountered. I highly recommend Him

Excellent Dentist with an equally excellent staff (Sue, Jessica and Monica are awesome)! It had been close to 20 years since I last visited a dentist, but, a fractured molar forced me to seek medical attention. The procedure to extract the rotted and broken tooth was relatively painless and my recovery was quicker than anticipated. Similarly, several deep cleanings and preparation for the dental bridge were also rather painless. Dr. Kim and his staff are honest, friendly and very professional!

Best dentist ever!
To start, I’ve had bad teeth my whole life. Add to that my terrible experiences with dentists, ranging from unscrupulous billing practices to incompetent dentisting, I had all but given up hope of ever having a happy healthy mouth. But now I have a dentist I trust, no staining, no cavities, and Dr. Kim even removed all 4 of my severely decayed wisdom teeth (at age 29) without needing to put me under.
The Dr. and staff are highly skilled, friendly and honest, the office is quite and clean, the wait times are usually no more than 5 – 10 minutes. What more could you ask for.
FYI, They accept PPO insurance but do not accept HMO. If, like me, you need to get a lot of work done it’s worth the slightly higher cost of insurance plan to be able to use this amazing dentist.

Dr Kim knows his teeth… He is a great dentist. Everyone in the office is friendly and nice and they keep you on your route to a great smile.
Appointments are very hard to book here. So do it early.
If you are afraid of the dentist I recommend Dr. Kim, by far one of the most knowledgeable dentist I have been too. I am very glad I picked the Dental PPO on my insurance plan.

I just finished getting 2 root canals and 6 fillings done in 3 visits to Peter M Kim.
I HATE THE DENTISTS
BUT I LOVE PETER M KIM.
He did 6 fillings in under 30 minutes, or what felt like 30 minutes!
He performed 2 flawless root canals, from shot to farewell
My tooth is healing properly, and he helped me AVOID SURGERY!
I went from fearing and hating the dentists to LOOKING FORWARD to my next check up in 6 months,

I am not sure how this dentist managed to get so many great reviews. My husband and I recently moved to Orange and chose this dentist based on the excellent Unilocal reviews. Both my husband and I were told we have mouthfuls of cavities. (I have seen a dentist twice a year my entire life and it had only been one year since I was last in a dentist’s office. I thought it very strange that within one year I managed to accumulate 5 cavities). While my husband had not seen a dentist in years, he had previously never had a single cavity. Imagine our surprise when we were told we both had MANY cavities!
This dentist also diagnosed our cavities by only looking at photographs that he took of our teeth. These were just regular photos, taken with a regular camera! He did not stick at the spot with his tool the way every single dentist I have ever had usually diagnoses a cavity.
We both left the initial appointment after setting up future appointments to have the work done. Despite having excellent insurance, we were going to have to pay hundreds of dollars out of pocket to take care of all of these cavities! My husband was told he was going to have to come in over the course of two years to get it all taken care of!
After thinking over this for a few days and really questioning the honesty of this doctor, I made an appointment for a second opinion at another dentist. What a difference! My husband went in today at the different dentist and found that he had 50% fewer cavities than Dr. Kim had said. Not only that, but our new dentist did not charge us anything out of pocket and took care of half of my husband’s cavities in the one visit. He will likely need only one more visit to take care of his cavities.
The decision to get a second opinion saved us hundreds of dollars. I would definitely not recommend this dentist.

I found Dr. Kim via Unilocal and so glad I did. I typically don’t write reviews but feel I need to in this case. I had not been to the dentist in 6~7 years and let’s just say I needed a lot of work (and still do). So far I’ve completed 3 crowns, several fillings and replacement fillings. Dr. Kim and his staff are professional and really care about you as a patient. In fact, for two of my teeth the decay was close to the nerve and Dr. Kim said he would do everything possible to avoid a root canal as he wanted the tooth to stay alive and strong. I’ve had other dentists move immediately to a root canal in a similar situation.
I rarely have to wait more than a few minutes to be seen when I arrive at the appointed time. The procedures and processes are explained well. The materials and work are high quality. Lastly, there is no hassle with insurance and payment matters — it’s all easy and smooth.
If you’re looking for a great dentist and friendly staff in the Orange area, look no further.
(I’m in the midst of changing insurance from PPO to HMO where I may not be able to utilize Dr. Kim for everything going forward. I’m honestly considering to just pay the full amount myself to stay with Dr. Kim)

UPDATE:
I just got a call from Dr. Kim’s office, they wanted to make sure that I was not having any pain and wanted to make sure everything was OK. WOW! Now THAT’s great service! Just one MORE reason to visit Dr. Kim for your dental work. Oh, BTW, I only experienced just a little pain last night (which is normal) and took an aspirin for it, and today I’m fine!
