Trustworthy and timely are the two words that best describe this company. A co=worker gave me their name and they have kept my car running for years. I have an 03 Corolla and they do everything on it. They fit me in whenever «a funny noise» starts up and also get the repairs or servicing done in a timely manner. Clean shop and interesting items for sale in the display area. Very friendly staff.

I had an engine and transmission swap done 6 months ago by PI, and my 2004 Lexus ES 330 is still running strong. No issues whatsoever! In fact, the car runs so much better than when it was new. No hesitation from the transmission now. It was always a problem from the day I drove this car home from the showroom floor. Only Project Import will work on my car from now on!

My 2007 Infiniti G35 6S, was slipping and every time i had to go somewhere the engine would just rev and not go anywhere while in gear. I was recommended to get my clutch and flywheel done, I originally went to the dealer and the price quoted to me was unbelievable.
I called around and found PI. Called them and let them know what was going on, they gave me a gave price and there and then I was in. I went with an aftermarket JWT clutch and flywheel set and about a month later, i have not had any issues with it. In fact, it’s excellent.
The best thing about PI and what surprised me the most, is their turnaround time. I was expecting the car to be in their shop for a few days at least. I live in Riverside, and I had already planned to get a rental and do what I needed without my vehicle. Surprisingly, I got a call the next day after I dropped it off telling me that the car was done. I think the car was returned to me within 24hrs. It was incredible! Thank you PI!

I have a 2008 Acura TSX which had a bad 3^rd gear syncro, creating the 3^rd gear grind. I never had any major repairs in my life so I wasn’t really knowledgeable and didn’t know which mechanic to trust.
I Google searched tuning shop and they were the first result. I called them and just described the symptoms of the car and they were confident what was wrong with my car based on my description.
I worked with Johhny and Gilbert who were extremely professional and savvy. They explained to me what could be possibly wrong based on their experiences and offered to look at it for free. They gave me a fair estimate and broke down all the cost in an email quote.
I felt like I could trust them and know that they would do a great job. They guided me with what exactly was going to be done and the time frame with updates via phone and email. They gave me recommendations on what I need and what I don’t need.
I ended up getting a transmission rebuild and a new clutch with new bearings. They did a great job and my car feels like a new car. They backed it up with a 1 year warranty and even sent me pictures of the status’ of the car during the repairs (images of my transmission, the parts, etc). They also gave me the old parts to show how worned/​damaged they were.
They provided a break down of all the services performed and the parts they replaced on a pdf to summarize the service.
All in all, I was very satisfied and the price was fair because they did real quality work and service. I defiantly recommend them to anyone.

During a road trip from Dallas, Texas I encountered a problem with my Toyota Tundra. I stopped in at a local dealer to find out what was wrong. The dealer told me I had a bent axles and would have to have both replaced. I did some checking around and found the guys at Project Import. After talking to one of their mechanics they took a look at my truck. They found that my axles were not bent and did not need to be replaced, but the bearings were worn out and would have to be replaced. (the cause of the problem) Big relief!
While there I decided to have my shocks replaced at the same time since they saved my vacation from financial disaster. In just a couple days and just in time, I was driving my truck and enjoying my Daughters wedding with no worries.

I wouldn’t waste my time with a place that can’t answer their phone or return a call.
Called Saturday morning around 10. 11-​22-​2014 left a message with my phone number and dident receive a call back all day. Their website says Saturday hours are 9am to 5pm
I have money to spend but project import won’t be getting any of it.

Come here if time is not an issue. Prices are ok and work quality is ok. Staff are friendly.
3 stars because of the extremely unbearable wait time for repair/​builds (im talking months. and its not waiting on parts either).

Steve, Bryan and the fellas run a top notch shop. Down to earth, eager to answer all questions and great prices.

They have the best customer service ever! They’re very knowledgeable and very friendly. They rolled my back fenders on my lexus with no problem in less than 30 min. They also have good prices on parts too. Ask for Gilbert he’s a cool guy.

This place is legit. I brought my G35 to get the rear diff bushing replaced and they did the work exceptionally well and they also took photographs of the work they’ve done to my car which just speaks of their integrity. This place has a friendly atmosphere, and the shop owners are knowledgeable in modifying cars.

Awesome shop. Great guys. Everyone I’ve talked to here has always been super friendly and knowledgeable. Steve and Bryan have been working on my cars since ’08. Excellent, honest service and fair prices. I wish they worked on classic cars cause I just got an old caddy but Steve even pointed me to another local shop that specializes in those.

Almost 4 stars for the guy that originally scheduled the appointment for a day when the guy that rolls fenders wasn’t even there. Kept it at five stars with an honest analysis and recommendation for my car.

They are knowledgeable and friendly! Had to drop off my car right before they closed and they were very helpful and explained what needed to be checked. Definitely recommend Project Import!

I stumbled to this place by accident when i needed to get a quick fuel pump to go with my turbo’d 07 civic a few years back.
They are very educated, friendly, passionate and honest people. Pricing is firm… few parts u can get cheaper somewhere else, some parts u can’t, however, with their knowledgeable staff, great work ethics, and always updated on the newest parts be it oil or triple ball bearing turbo’s…you cannot stump these guys.
I don’t mind paying a lil more because they will take care of your car as if it were theirs. Money can always be replaced, but craftsmanship and dedication cannot.
Project import is the best.

These guys are legit. They really know their stuff! All my experience is in older domestic cars, so when I need anything for an import this is where I turn. A truly impressive shop!

Hands down — 5 STARS.
Called at 11:30am and asked if they do fender rolling service. I put in 20’s on my 5-​series (ghetto? – that’s right!), and the wheels were grinding and rubbing on my fender. I talked to Kit, and he told me to come on in. I was quoted $ 40/​per tire, which could be on the higher end of prices, but I was desperate.
I arrived at noon, met Kit and Bryan. They told me exactly what they were planning on doing. My first impression of PROJECT IMPORT was that the guys who worked here had one obvious passion – CARS!
Bryan and Kit told me exactly what they were going to do with my fenders and they delivered.
PI is located a street down from the HONDA CENTER and 25 steps from the movie theater, Starbucks, and Lazy Dog Café. Perfect to hang out while you’re waiting for your car.
Check them out… you won’t be disappointed!
