Best nail salon I have been to in CT. Very clean! Professional staff that do not tAlk to one another while working!!! Peaceful and quiet. Professional.

I’ve been going to Sky for years. Lately I’ve been noticing the quality going down. Today I got the worst mani/pedi. The girl doing my nails kept looking around while she was working on me which would at times cause pain from her not looking at what she was doing with the sharp instruments. At one point she thought that a cut on my finger was nail polish and kept picking at it and rubbing nail polish remover all over it. I have stump toe nails so bad to the point where it’s embarrassing. My finger nails are all uneven and sharp on the edges. They’re so short that I can’t even fix it myself. It’s extremely sloppy. I do a better job when I do my own nails. I talked to someone there about it and they«couldn’t seem to see what I was talking about.» They tried to fix some of it but not much. I’m definitely going to a new nail salon from now on.

This is a very clean and professional salon. It feels more like a spa it’s got a very nice atmosphere, very relaxing. they do great pedicures, I love their massages and waxing. the only downfall is their prices are very high. I would never be able to afford to get my nails done on a regular basis at the spa, but other than that I give them four stars. The owners are also very nice and always on site.

Came here and waited 40 mins on a late Sunday afternoon. Never even got my nails done! No sense of urgency, no consideration or apologies. I just completely walked out. So frustrating!

I accompanied my finance to this nail salon and I noticed a few problems. 1st the sanitizer is not below the true grade of some other high end salons or day spas. Next, they did not use hospital grade disinfectant per CT state guidelines and when they sprayed the tub between clients they did not the disinfectant sit for the required 10 min. My fiancé also got nicked and ended up with an infection afterwards. I am a local business owner that follows the codes for my industry for the safety of my clients. This location has just been reported to the necessary organizations and there is no doubt they will be investigated because of my compliant. Do your homework and bring your own tools for the services you need.

Here goes my 1st review on Unilocal… I walked into this salon today, only to walk out 3 minutes later. I’ve had pedicures there before. I’ve always felt a bad energy. The workers are nice, however they are way too quiet, as if they’re afraid to speak. Today while I was attempting to choose a polish, the mother, son, & daughter(owners) watched on. I asked the daughter what gel colors they had and she rudely handed them to me and said«here.» The daughter then kept walking in front of me, putting back polish, in an angry fashion. I realized, I like others, work way too hard to fork over $ 30+ for a pedicure in a hostile environment. I walked out the door only to be followed and shouted at, asking if I didn’t find a color. Embarrassing? Yes. PROS: usually sweet staff, clean tools++++, clean environment, complimentary massage. CONS: nails do chip rather fast, energy is off, way too quiet

I had one broken nail in need of repair. Since my regular salon was closed, I took a chance and tried Sky Nails & Spa since they are 1 mile from my home. I waited almost 45 minutes for someone to acknowledge me, although the salon was not busy. I was told to sit and wait. When finally someone did help me, she hurt me like hell trying to get the gel from my nail, and cut down so far that I was nicked. I finally got up and left, no tip, no payment. I would never go to this salon again, one of the worse… no skills and terrible customer service.

I never knew this place was here before, until my friend told me about it. It’s very CLEAN here, not to mention you get a brand new tools! I got a pedicure with callus removal, 20min hot stone massage which was so relaxing. I felt so bad because my girl had to work real hard on my callus :/despite of my ugly feet she was friendly and thorough.

Terrible service. Wanted silk wraps soaked off and instead they cut my nails all the way down and then filed off the wraps! When the girl started cutting, I stopped her and said that I just wanted the wraps off, but I wanted to keep the length. She insisted this was how they needed to come off, and at that point she had already cut one all the way down(this was my first time with wraps coming off). Never stuck my fingers in the removal solution and as soon she was done«removing» the wraps and cutting my nails down to nothing, I promptly said that I was done and I wanted to leave. Then(after much discussion that I couldn’t understand) they had the nerve to charge me $ 50 for a removal AND a manicure. I argued the point about having NOT received a manicure and that I really didn’t think that her«removal» method was worth $ 50, but they got belligerent with me and insisted that was how they are removed and that the«manicure» was part of the process. Needless to say I did NOT leave a tip. Never going back again.

I’m a regular customer. To me, sky nails and spa feels like home! People are decent and polite and they do a great job. Highly recommended…
