do not bring your dog for grooming here, worst experience ever. I brought my dog for grooming before Christmas and want her to look extra cute before the Christmas party. Before I brought her in I called this place to ask the price for shampoo, haircut, ear cleaning and nail cut, they told me for my dog it will be around 50 for all that as a package. I made appointment then brought me dog in the next day. I arrived at 10 mins earlier than my appointment, then they told me it will take 2 to 2 and half hour since its holiday season. I was ok with it, the girl ask me what kind of cut I want for my dog, I told her teddy bear style. she said it is ok, I told her my dogs fur has tangled, so she said she ll try to keep as long as possible. Then the other lady said it will be 49 dollars including all those service. I went back home to wait for their call. after 1 and half hour, they called me said my dog is too tangled they need to cut her fur really short, and to match the body the head will be short too. I said yes. Then I went to pick her up, it turns out they shaved her entire fur and her butt is almost no fur at all. I paid anyway then went back home since I need to go to work. But when I check my dog at home, I found they did not cut her nail, they did not clean her ears. So I called back to double check, they told me coz my dog has long nail they can not cut it, or else she will bleed, I said you can make her nails less sharp at least, she told me it will be additional 10 dollars, then I said if you said 49 dollars include nail cut, and my dog does not need one why you charge me 49 dollars, also when I ask her whether they clean my dogs ears, she said yes, but I checked it and clean it, turns out they did not clean my dogs ears at all.

I have only come here for Dog Food and they have the Best! Every time I call they are helpful and let me know if it’s in stock or not. If not they are quick to order, and call when ready for pick up. The Owner is a former customer of a business our family had sold back in 2004 and she’s just as nice as she was then. Keep up the great service!

I needed to add a chick to my small flock of hens. My local store didn’t have a good selection, so I drove down to Orange to see what Wagon Train had in stock. They didn’t have a huge number of birds, but they had some of the breeds I was after. I was pleased that I was able to get a month old, rather than a hatchling. The best part of the Wagon Train experience was the customer service. She was helpful and genuinely interested in helping me find a good chick. If you’re the boss and you’re reading this, it was the young lady who just bought a thoroughbred for jumping. Give her a raise! Next time I need a chick, I’ll call Wagon Train and perhaps make the extra drive.

I have to say at first I was excited to take my pup here to have her groomed. They have always been so friendly and helpful. When I initially called they quoted me $ 64… when I got there the said no it’ll be $ 74… ok. So 2 hours later I get my pup back and find that they did a great job trimming her but managed to leave a tick on her… boo!

As soon as you walk in you see people chicks groomers everyone is very happy there the people working there very friendly and we decided to make a grooming appointment because the friendliness and courteousness with our dog!

I have been taking my dogs to get groomed here for seven years. The groomers are kind, professional and skilled. I haven’t ever had an issue with them.
I bought my daughter a rabbit at Wagon Train eight years ago and he was healthy and happy.
The staff is knowledgable and helpful and don’t mind if you bring your kids by to just look and pet the wide variety of animals.

I get my dog groomed here, so naturally I returned to Wagon Train when I was ready to start raising backyard chickens. The owner, Theresa, is very sweet and helpful. She understood my concerns about various chicken breeds and took the time to discuss specifics with me, after which she recommended the ones that would work best for our environment. I’m very happy with the choices she helped me make.
The store is often crowded and the staff is usually busy, and their phone line is constantly ringing with inquiries, so sometimes you have to wait a little while to get service. But that says something — customers shop/​return here for good reason (who would shop somewhere that is always empty?).
I think the dog grooming services are a little pricey compared to other ‘salons’ I’ve been to, but they always do a good job and my dog is happy when she goes there, she trusts the staff and they’re very kind to her. I’ve taken my dog to other places and she’s come home with a rash, the result of cheap chemical shampoos. So I’m happy to pay a little extra for peace of mind and the health of my pooch.

I’ve taken my German Shepherd, Leroy, here twice to have it groomed. Both times a girl named Maddy took care of my puppy, and I’ve been so satisfied! Maddy is quick and she did exactly what I wanted. We will be back!

Dexter my labradoodle is going back for his second groom. Jhenya did a very good job on him, she had to even out the previous cut he received elsewhere. I’ll take him in at 8am, and should pick him up about 10am.

Very helpful staff. The young gentleman was incredibly helpful and answered so many questions about how to raise chickens, ducks, pigs, and other farm animals. They have for sale a variety of pet food and farm animal feed. Lots of cute chickens and ducks when we were there, as well as puppies. There were also educational books and gifts and decorations. Lots of birdseed options.

I brought my one year old puppy to get groomed here and she came home very fluffy and free of knots. I was pleased with the service but not the atmosphere.
When I first walked into the store, it smelled like I was on a farm, not a dog grooming place. The floor was dirty and hazardous because of all the scattered strands of hay.
The grooming area seemed unsanitary and something you could do at home.

SO and I are new to the area & decided to check this place out for the first time today, our furkids in tow. We got here on a Sunday, 5 minutes past 4pm. As we walked in, (YES, the door WAS open, and even after we left, the door was kept open), we were yelled at that «the store’s closed!» by 3 people hanging around the register area.
I’m sorry but their attitude and lack of customer service (they could’ve been a lot more professional and polite about pushing us out the door) is not going to get them my business. I’m really bummed because I was really excited to check this place out, but I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. First impressions are everything.

Came in here with the thinking it was a feed store for all animals (horses). There was a woman and a male at the counter. It was apparent the woman was the person in charge as the male was getting confirmation on something. Neither one looked at me, acknowledged me or said anything. I was looking for dog gifts… with that type of customer service which was my first impression (having never been in the store_…it was also my last impression as I waited for a moment and then turned around and walked right out the door.
There are many, many other stores that will offer me a smile or a hello and I will be happy to spend my hard, earned money at.

This is a nice place and seems to be the only place in the area to buy a chicken coop and chicks year round. The place is really small and packed, but very well organized. People are constantly running in and out having their animals groomed.
I’ve been thinking about getting chickens for months, and much to the displeasure of my wife have purchased a chicken tractor (for over $ 100 less than available online) and will be going back for chicks (or pullets if in stock). They are a one stop shop for backyard chickens.
The place isn’t perfect looking or for those who expect a glass of champagne when they walk through the door, but they certainly know their stuff and are willing to help.

Very nice local pet store. bought our goat and chickens here. Owner Margaret is very helpful and extremely well informed. We love our trips to Wagon Train,.it’s a family affair.

It’s a very cute store and the owner is very sweet.
BUT I watched my dog be put in a bathtub with feces one grooming visit. And another time my other dog got kennel cough here, so yeah…

I have been shopping, visiting at this store for over 20 years… now I have a little puppy and get to use their grooming services! The place is always busy and the owner seems to be always in HIGH demand from her customers. My kids love all the animals and we have bought several over the years. Each time the staff has given us all the information we needed when we bought them and then each time we came in… they would still give us advice and knew just what we needed! This store is one of a kind in orange county!

I’m not the most conscience of dog owners, at least when it comes to grooming. My current brood consists of a short haired and a long haired shedder, so neither get to the groomers, the short hair just stays trim, and the long hair gets clipped at home. But my former poodle, now that one needed grooming, And waiting like I did, he always needed to be shaved because of matting. Now with the SO’s yorkies, they get matted as well, so off to the groomers with this horde.
The groomers here are nice, and they do a good job quickly. I used to frequent another place, but the dogs were always stuck there all day, which meant I was stuck near the house all day, since I didn’t know when they would be done. Here, 3 dogs in and out in less than 3 hours. And they looked marvelous.

We live locally and use Wagon Train a lot for supplies and vet services. Margaret is as good as they come, and knows lots about the «other» pets. We bring out goats, chickens, turkeys, turtle (yes we live with all these pets), and our dogs too.
In addition, they are one of the few places you can «rent» an incubator to hatch your own eggs (they supply area schools with the gear).
And they always have cools animals inside for the kids to check out.
