I have been here a couple times when I am in town. I really enjoy their fried rice, orange chicken and cream cheese wontons. I love the crispy wontons with this orange sauce they serve as an appetizer when you sit down. They have reasonable prices. We get very good service with delivery and dine in. We get hot food everytime too! Everytime I crave chinese food, it makes me want Yang Ming Garden really badly. Too bad we don’t have many good chinese restaurants in Minnesota like this place. This place is the best! Highly recommend!

Our new favorite Chinese restaurant! We ate the hot and sour soup, egg rolls, orange chicken, and firecracker pork. Everything was absolutely delicious, and the service was fast. This is also a very cute restaurant to eat in!

They deliver!!! But they got the order wrong. It’s the typical Chinese food restaurant. Nothing all that special. But the service is good and it’s decent food for the price.

Yang Ming Garden is a great place for less-than-authentic Chinese food flavors; it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t too impressive. Came here for family dinner, because my mom wanted Chinese food, and we were eating with my stepbrother who happens to live in Orange(this was a win-win solution). It was only a win in terms of convenience as I wasn’t too crazy about the food. Food: Ordered hot and sour soup, mushu pork, string beans, sichuan beef, honey walnut shrimp, and another shrimp dish with a name that just won’t come to me. The soup was okay, wasn’t noticeably spicy or sour. The mushu pork was probably tied for the best thing I ate(the other being the walnut shrimp); however, both were not too memorable. The Sichuan beef was a disappointment in terms of textures and flavor. I know it’s probably a bit much for me to be so harsh on a Chinese restaurant catering to people who are not accustomed to more authentic Chinese flavors, but I’m grading based on my experience compared with other Chinese restaurants. +0.5/2 stars. Service: Our server was very friendly and I can’t fault him for the service, since it was probably the only thing that wasn’t sub-par. +1/1 star. Restaurant/Ambiance: I sat on one side of the restaurant and had no clue it was twice as big until I walked out and saw that there was an entire second half. Lighting was a bit dim, but felt comfortable. +1/1 star. Would I come back? I will not likely go back to Yang Ming Garden, but that’s just based on my preferences. My stepbrother and his mother love this restaurant, and he goes here pretty often, so the food works for the customer base they have. +0/1 star. Total: 2.5÷5 stars. This is based on my own experience with the restaurant, and I’m sure many other people would give Yang Ming a much higher grade, but I just didn’t enjoy it much.

The people that complain about this place are ridiculous. One top complaint is it’s Americanized Chinese food. No shit, you’re in Orange County, and not in Hacienda Heights. Just because you misunderstood what the restaurant had to offer isn’t their fault. Another top complaint are the prices. If you’re a cheap ass stay home. It’s not as if the prices are hidden from you or can you not read? You’re always going to be disappointed if you come in with unrealistic expectations and you’re a cheap bastard. No place can win with these people. Anyway, we came for lunch today and were greeted promptly and friendly. Service throughout was great as we were provided refills timely and the waiter was on top of everything. Here’s what we ordered: Honey Walnut Shrimp — awesome flavor and quality. Would highly recommend if you like this dish. Sweet and Sour Pork — very good flavor as well along with lots of peppers, onion, and carrots. Wonton soup: tasty broth and the wontons were actually decent size. The tortilla looking chips(admittedly I don’t know the term for them; please excuse me I am white lol) they have on the table with a sweet and sour sauce is really good and addicting. I wish I could have taken some home. They also have a full service bar which is not something you’ll see at a lot of Chinese places. My only slight knock is the servicing sizes are slightly small, but the quality makes up for it. I’ll take quality over quantity all day. Would definitely recommend to those that understand what the place is and what it isn’t.

I have been coming to Yang Ming since they opened, when someone says Chinese food I think Yang Ming! As a matter of fact I’m going to change their name when I tell anyone about them to «YUMMING«because it’s the YUM I come here for!!!

Overall the place wasn’t too bad. Service is fair. The women that helped us out was taking way to fast with an accent then looked at us like idiots for not understanding her. The raspberry ice tea I got was flat no flavor. The didn’t even give us enough cloths for everyone. There was a man there that was helping that was very kind… so kind he came running outside because we forgot our leftovers

First time here: ordered Veggie Spring Rolls, Honey — Walnut Shrimp, Szechwan Green Beans, Garlic Lo-Mein Noodles and Egg Fried Rice(no meat, it was a Friday during lent). Spring rolls were average, Honey — Walnut Shrimp was… OMG! YUM!(I’ll dream of that stuff), Szechwan green beans were fantastic(I like my green beans a little crunchier, but fantastic flavor nontheless), garlic noodles and fried rice were good. Nice, friendly service. A little pricey. Huge portions. I bought for two people and it ended up feeding FIVE! They even threw in fried wonton chips with sweet and sour sauce and, of course, fortune cookies.

This place is so classy inside. Not at all like other Asian restaurants. The food and service was exceptional. Party of 6 and we had a ball ordering a lot of variety. loved being able to have cocktails ahead of time. Easy to park. Reasonable pricing. Nice to take a special date to cause you can talk. Good mood lighting. Order the Po Po appetizer. One is enough for 4 people. Staff can really explain the items on menu and I have been to other places and it is confusing. Not here. We will be back. I want to come back for my birthday next month.

Love this place! Service is good… Could be little better(and by better I just mean faster). We have tried a bunch of items here. House Lo main– 5 stars Chicken fried rice– 4 stars. Rice was a bit dry and hard… It should be a little moist and easy to chew. Sweet and sour chicken is a definite 5 stars Beef broccoli is a bit chewy(the meat) basically feels like low quality meat– 3 stars Wonton soup — 5+ stars insanely good!!! He broth is perfect, and the aroma is to die for… Plenty of chicken and shrimp in it too. Overall it’s a solid 4 stars… Had I not tried the beef broccoli I would have given this place a 5 star! Regardless it’s a great place to go and their lunch specials look like they are a really good deal too.

We didn’t have too many options to celebrate Chinese New Year and we found this place from Unilocal. We ordered peking duck, mongolian beef and chinese broccoli. Peking duck($ 17.95): I was expecting the bun, but this one was served with the pancake. The pancake seemed to be thicker than the usual peking duck pancake. The duck itself was okay. Prepared table-side, the peking duck didn’t come with the skin! I ordered this dish because I wanted crispy duck skin inside the mantou bun/thin pancake. It was such a disappointment. The worker said it’s Americanized peking duck when she saw the disappointed look on my face. Mongolian beef($ 14.95): not too bad for Americanized Chinese food. The sauce was okay and the beef was not chewy. Chinese broccoli($ 10.95): kinda crispy and it was served with oyster sauce. White rice($ 1.55): served per individual rice bowl. Coke($ 2.95): just Coke. Complimentary wonton with sweet & sour sauce. I didn’t like the lemon-y sauce and asked for a regular sweet and sour sauce. The worker said it’s a combination of fruit juices. Friendly and attentive workers. 2.5 stars! Yang Ming is not yummylicious!

This sounds weird, but upon first seeing the exterior of the restaurant, the first pair of doors don’t have handles on them. So their actual door to enter is off to the side. My friend and I entered the building, and there was no host to greet so it was a little awkward. I ordered the gunpowder chicken. It was pretty good– like Panda Express. My friend ordered the orange chicken. Her entrée was ok as well. Service was ok. I would still come back. I want to try their shrimp.

My husband found this spot on Unilocal,we were looking for good Chinese as its hard to find in the OC. Most Chinese restaurants in the area look to scary to go into or are the chains you’d find anywhere. Defiantly authentic, typical Chinese décor…a little dated but you can tell they make the effort to try and keep it modern in a cheap way. Everyone who worked there was friendly and helpful, just enough English to say hello/goodbye and not mess up my order. Had the sweet and sour pork, mongolin beef, garlic shrimp, teriyaki chicken, chicken lo mein, fried rice, and wonton soup. LOVEDITALL. We went celebrating my dad’s birthday and there were 12 of us. Everyone was stuffed and still food left over. Bill under $ 150 which is unheard of for a group our size. This includeds a couple of Shiparo beers. Food came out seriously in like 15 minuets and was made to order, hot and tasted GREAT! Sounds crazy but I have been back 3 times since November. Tellin everyone I know… its a wonderful spot. I was craving some Chinese food and stumbled upon this nice family restaurant. The place is a decent size which can accommodate big parties, they also have plenty of booths and small tables for couples. Although the décor seems kind of dated its very warm an inviting, They offer a fixed dinner special for around $ 12 which comes with soup, a main entrée and dessert. The fixed menu only had a couple of entrees and walnut shrimp was not one of them and I really wanted to try their walnut shrimp. So we decided not to get the fixed dinner which seems like a pretty good deal and instead ordered soup of the day and shared two entrees of walnut shrimp and firecraker spicy pork. I loved how crunchy the pork was. The jalapenos and spicy chilies really brought out the flavor of the pork. Taking a bite of the pork and washing it down with some hot tea really hit the spot!!! The walnut shrimp was also very satisfying. It had a nice creamy sauce with plenty of crunchy walnuts Yum Yum! The entrees came with a side of rice and you had the choice of either white, fried or brown rice. I was really excited about that since most other places only offer white. We went with their fried rice and were not disappointed. It was the perfect amount since usually you are stuck with a lot of rice leftovers so that was great! I was pretty happy by the end of the meal and we even had a lot of left overs since they have decent portions of their entrees. Cant wait to come back!

Old school chinese. They speak cantonese here. Been there for a long time and the food is very americanized chinese food. In that sense, it’s perfect with that 70s décor. None of the food was very authentic but the experience and food made me remember my childhood.

Other than Downtown Los Angeles in the Chinatown district, I have not found a Chinese restaurant with good food until now. Some friends took us there the other night, and I enjoyed every dish that was served. It isn’t really large and it is in a strip mall, but they have booths as well as tables. I had no problem with the service as it was fine, but my five star rating is based solely on the quality of the food, which is what matters most to me. I have no doubt that if you visit this restaurant, you will enjoy the food very much. It isn’t close to where I live, and because it is a 40 minute drive, I probably would not come here just for dinner, but if I was out this way, and in the mood for Chinese food, I most definitely would visit again.

What a range of reviews! Seems like most people are either 5 stars, or 1. I’m going with 3. We’ve lived in this area for 8 years now and after driving by it several times, decided to try it out. It’s definitely more upscale then Chins down the road but not high end either. I would call it your typical Americanized Chinese restaurant. I thought the food was OK. Servings were good. Service was a little cold but efficient. They did refill my diet coke before it was empty. Everything is family style so don’t expect combinations on the menu. Lot’s of items were marked spicy so be careful if that’s not for you. Pricing was similar to what we would have paid at Red Robin or Chili’s. If I’m in the mood for a sit down Chinese restaurant, I might try this place again, but honestly, it’s not at the top of my list.

We were indecisive as to where we wanted to go for dinner. I wanted Chinese food, but didn’t want to drive as far to our usual haunts to get it. I had saw this place pop up on the app a few times since it’s close to the house, so we thought we’d give it a try. For a Sunday night, they had quite a few people inside. The restaurant is pretty large and they have a full bar where some people were congregated just enjoying a cocktail in the retro décor. I would have never thought of coming here for drinks, but it must be a hidden spot that only the locals know about. The food was decent and they give you a lot of it for the price. All items come with an order of crispy wontons with spicy mustard and sweet and sour sauce, plus a pot of tea for drinking. We tried just a few things that included: — Orange Beef: This was my least favorite of the dishes. It was perfectly crispy, but the orange glaze that cooked it in was wayyyy too sweet for me. I could only eat a few pieces before tapping out because I couldn’t take the flavor. I added a little chili sauce to help balance it out — but the orange sauce still won and was still too overpowering. — Chicken Lo Mein: The noodles were nicely cooked and there were a lot of veggies and protein in every bite. For me, it was a little bland and I had to add a good amount of the chili sauce to get some flavor. Jaime doused his in soy sauce. — Beef Fried Rice: Again good, but bland. You see the pattern? More chili sauce added for flavor, more dousing of soy sauce from my other half. The staff is super friendly and attentive. Our glasses were constantly being refilled and someone was always checking in on us to make sure we were okay. I really liked that. I’d consider coming back to try some of their other items. They also do delivery if you’re within a few miles of the restaurant.
