This is the 3rd time in a month I come to this yoshinoya and they tell me that they don’t have any of the meats available it was 1030 you’re open until 11 and you can’t serve for the last half hour?! Why even stay open. Rude staff every time. do yourself a favor and stay away

The food is not amazing, but definitely beats other fast food joints. Ordered two chicken bowls and was charged for three! Make sure to check your receipt! They gladly fixed it. I do like how the chicken does have flavor, i went to waba grill a few days before and the meat was tasteless at waba! If you want ginger make sure to ask for it, because they do not include it. If you go down one street, tikiyaki is a lot better!

Unilocal challenge 2015309⁄365 Home of one of the orginal beefbowls. Famous for their beef and chicken. I am not going to lie, buuuuut I am not a huge fan of Yoshioya but the hubsters sure is. But this review is mine not his. You either love it or hate it. For just under $ 7.00 you can get a combination bowl with a ton of rice and for .60 more a side of extra sauce. Trust me, it us a .60 well spent. They are stingy as can be with the sauce, so if you order extra you can soak it all over your meat. Add the ginger and red peppered flakes and dig in. Now they are spicing things up by serving up Orange Chicken. The Orange Chicken was a little on the dry side in my book. Service for me has only been nothing but friendly. Food usually comes out super fast. Easy parking with plenty of room in the Tustin and Katella shopping center. 3 Stars for me, but my husband disagrees. #784

Extremely slow and rude customer service, no smiles and not friendly. Her name was Aryn she was shift in charge. Never coming back.

I’ve been to so many Yoshinoya’s, but this location stood out because the shift manager, Alma, was so nice, accommodating, and professional. I felt like I was in an actual sit down restaurant. She definitely went above and beyond in service, from bringing the food out to me and asking me if wanted water, to offering me ginger. I never knew Yoshinoya had ginger until now! Also, this is the fastest Yoshinoya that I’ve been to – so that’s a major plus.

If you want to eat yoshinoya and have it made with the extra love your mom would put into it, come here! Alma is the best!!! She takes pride in what she does and genuinely cares about her customers, especially her regulars. She glows while she works and it is a joy just to come in and see her! She is the meaning of exceptional customer service!

When you regrettably decide not to go to In-N-Out for once and eat here… I was the only person inside this restaurant and ate this decent food while a manager argued with an employee… I think I’ll stick to only eating at In-N-Out

I never had Yoshinoya before going in last week. I went on my lunch break from work because I received coupons in the mail. Disgusting food. I was starving and took it back to work and by the time I got back half my lunch break was over, so when I began eating it, there wasn’t much to do about the horrible food. Bland, tasted bad, dry, and no sauce at all to at least try and help it. Even with the coupon my meal was about $ 7 and I hate that I wasted it on a meal I couldn’t even finish. I give it at least two stars since I didn’t have an issue with the customer service. But I’m never going back.

If Alma is working, make sure you smile with her. Very helpful and very fast service. The food is always great and clean and the whole establishment feels homey just because shes always in a good mood. Not only did she greet us coming in, she walked our food to us. Diner service in a corporate restaurant. Only good employees make that happen. Thanks again Alma!!!

This was one of the most disappointing meals I’ve had. A friend and I used a coupon for two combo bowls, spring rolls, and the Asian wings. First of all, the least disappointing item was the spring roll. It was decent, alright flavor, and fairly fresh. Second, the wings. Halfway decent flavor, but all around still disappointing and very dry. Now, let’s talk about the combo bowl. Horrific. The meat was the lowest quality meat I have ever had. The chicken was actually fatty, and almost half of it was skin. Then there was the beef. The beef was thinly sliced and tasted like it was boiled and then dipped in teriyaki and thrown on top of s bed of rice. Finally, the veggies were a horrific mix of grocery store bagged frozen veggies. There was very little variety to it, and next to no real leafy veggies. It was mostly broccoli stems, a couple big chunks of cabbage, but the harder part of it, and like two carrot slices. I would absolutely never recommend anyone eat here. You’re better off finding yourself a Flame Broiler, or even a Panda Express.

This review is not for their food, because I did not get to try it — but merely for their customer service. So I signed up for their bowler’s club and they give you a buy one get one free coupon. So I went in today to use it and they tell me that the coupon has to be printed out. I don’t have a printer so how am I supposed to use this coupon? Plus, today is the last day to use it — what a waste. Definitely won’t be coming back here. If you want a bowl — go to Flame Broiler instead.

I wish I could give this branch ZERO stars! I came in on 4÷2÷15 around closing time and order a large Angus beef bowl and paid $ 7. I was told it would take 7 minutes to get the meat cooked and I was ok with that. I ended up waiting close to 15 – 20 minutes but I was still ok with that. Then I get home with my food and the freakin’ beef is burnt!!! WTF??? They had me wait and then consciously sent me home with burnt meat! Really!!! There were 2 girls running the place and they know who they are! I hope the manager of the place sees this review and fires those 2!!! Garbage! Lazy ass employees! That’s why they work there! It’s because they lack the fuckin work ethic to tell a patron that he has to wait a while longer because we burned your food! Instead they send me home with charcoal looking meat!!! WTF!!! Look for the pic for proof in case y’all think I’m lying…

The man and I were in the mood for some Yoshinoya, so we went to this location since it’s the closest to us. Have been here in awhile. and I think that they must have remodeled this location. Its looks modern and fresh. definitely has a CLEAN feeling to it. which is what you want from a restaurant. Food was good and abundant!

Worst Yoshinoya Ive been to. I had two beef bowls with my wife and while the beef was good, rice was rock solid. Completely undercooked. I tried eating but could not do it. And I really love rice. This is as inappropriate as going to a sandwich shop and order a chicken sandwich, only to find out the chicken is raw and blood is dripping everywhere. Shame on this Yoshinoya.

If I could do ZERO stars, I would. Needless to say I LOVEYOSHINOYA! It’s pretty frkn unfortunate that some people hate their lives and their jobs that they would do this $hit. Really makes me mad. I remember the staff at the Yoshinoya in Santa Ana ARESUPERAMAZINGLY friendly! I went there so much so that they remembered my order and had it ready when I pulled up. A+!! Anyhow, I went to the Tustin location on 5÷4÷14 at 11:39am Argelia rung me up(that’s what the receipt says). I ordered a beef bowl, extra onions and juice and a Tilapia plate(because the picture looks delicious!!) and a Miso soup. I got my order about 8 – 10 minutes later and had a seat. THEREWAS A LONGHAIRINMYFISH. Imbedded in the crust among the sesame seeds was a long brown hair. I look over the counter and the cook isn’t wearing a hair net. I return the plate stating quietly«Theres a hair in my fish could you please change it?» She said«Oh sorry! yes, we’ll change it!» No more than 3 minutes later, they say my orders ready. There’s no way they could have cooked a new one in 3 minutes so I look at my «new» plate and it’s the exact same plate. Same fish. Same cole slaw. They even flicked a piece of the breading off where they had pulled the hair off. I could even see the trail where the breading was disturbed where the hair once was. They flipped the fish around and gave me the same $ucking piece of fish. ABSOLUTELYDISGUSTING! JUSTAWFUL! TOTALLYDISAPPOINTED! I hope the owners take heed and see this post(which I will forward to them) and take the necessary steps and get rid of the awful, lazy, don’t give a $hit staff they currently have.

I think the food is pretty good, nothing to write home about. I think the beef bowl is tastier than the chicken and the vegetables have a strange sauce/flavor that they prepare it with-I don’t like it so I usually just get the beef bowl. The yaki-udon is actually pretty tasty, so if you want try something other than the bowls I recommended it. I hesitated for a moment on giving a 4, but I did because I think it’s priced very reasonably and good/quick service.

This post is dedicated to the love of my life! ;) My boyfriend and I arrived around 9 and ordered two combo bowls! Honestly, nothing can go wrong with veggies, chicken, beef, and rice. Simple and hearty! They do have some new items on their menu like the grilled fish platter and yaki udon bowls which is pretty tasty! Just make sure to ask them to go light on the sauce because it’s really salty if you don’t~

Avoid this Yoshinoya. My visit was at 9pm on 8÷16÷2012. First, my beef bowl was made with hard undercooked rice and super dry beef. Get an Asian in the kitchen, FFS! One pepper shaker for the whole restaurant… Really? Rice all over the seats and tables; I guess nobody bothers coming out to the dining area to clean them. I’ve had better Yoshinoya experiences at 3am in Boyle Heights…

Well this is a standard Yoshinoya. When I was in college and just out of college, it was by far my favorite fast food chain period. Now I will rarely stop in when I have a good coupon and have a bite to take me back to those days. The food is always nice and hot when, I have been here. The rice has never been overcooked and turned mushy either. The one problem that i find now and then is that too much of the meat n onion broth gets transferred into the contained and then you get running stuff throughout the rice :( I have also had the gyoza here and that was tasty. Properly pan or cooktop fried on two sides after having been heated up and served with a nice dipping sauce. The store itself is very clean with lots of parking in the lot. This location shares its lot with a Michaels and a Petco. Pro Tip: Use the low salt soy sauce, its still kikkoman and tastes the same, but its much better for you. I would also suggest that you do not buy the meal or combo set up. Most of the veggies are mushie and that isnt very tasty…
