Amazing and honest service, for a fair price. He got us in that day and had it fixed within a few hours.

I was referred by a friend to Mike. I dropped my vehicle off the night before without ever meeting Mike going completely on trust. Mike completed the repairs but felt bad he wasn’t able to solve all the issues no fault of his so he didn’t charge me for all his time, even when I offered to pay more for his time. Wow, when does that ever happen, never! I’m heading over to pick up my vehicle this afternoon and finally meet Mike & Vitoria. He will be our family mechanic for life. Thank you Mike and Victoria!

I called at the last minute to get my brakes done. Talked to Mike and he told me to come in and he will finish today. Victoria helped me to get my paperwork done. They are both lovely people. I got right in and out. I just moved back to the area and will definitely be back for all auto needs.

We have brought our cars to Mike to get fixed going on 2 yrs. We have always been really happy with all of his work. He has made us feel very welcome everytime we walk in the door. I now live over 90 miles away from Mike’s Auto Repair, I still take my car to Mike for automotive service.
The above statement should be an indicator of how good this shop is. And if that isn’t convincing enough, see my prior review for an amazing example of how Mike saved me $ 900 several years ago by replacing a fuse.
I recently took my car into Mike to have him look over another mechanic’s work and let me know if there was any problems with the car (the other mechanic is located in Martinez where I live now, but I was concerned about some engine roughness and an intermittent ticking noise that appeared after taking it to the other mechanic). Victoria (Mike’s wife and office manager) was extremely nice, provided excellent customer service, and scheduled a time to bring the car in.
Mike thoroughly examined the car and let me know that the motor mounts may be shot, but that it didn’t appear that there was anything wrong otherwise. He didn’t try to pressure me to replace them, he didn’t speak badly of the work the other mechanic did, he just gave it to me straight in his typical down to earth, personable manner.
Since moving away from Sacramento, I have had the opportunity to experience several other mechanics in my new home town, many of those mechanics are 4 and 5 star mechanics based on dozens of Unilocal reviews. To put it simply, Mike and Victoria are in another league from every other mechanic I have ever encountered. Mike just doesn’t have any equal in the automotive repair world, and believe me I have looked.
The only problem I have is that I can’t clone Mike and Victoria and have them set up shop where I live now.

I was new in town and was desperate to find someone I could trust. How fortunate I was to find Mikes Auto Repair. He is upfront, does great work, and everyone there is easy going and a pleasure to do business with. I can’t say enough about what a good experience I have had for the last 2 years.

Mike worked on our car and he was awesome. It is scary anymore to get your car worked on with so many mechanics quick to spend your money on things that don’t actually fix the problem. Mike allowed us to discuss the issue and he has so much experience that he knew right away where to start. He took baby steps, kept us informed and fixed the problem with very little cost. Mike doesn’t fish around for a solution nor waste a customers money. He treats the customers money as if it were his own.

Ditto! Ditto! Ditto! I agree with all the positive comments already written about Mike and his way of doing business. I called before the shop was open, and Mike told me to come on in, since he was already working. I needed a new radiator; it was installed by the end of day and price was very reasonable. I will definitely go back and have recommended him to my family and friends. It’s a great feeling to know you can trust an auto mechanic, especially if you don’t know anything about cars!

Mike was very helpful. He spent time to diagnose a leak in my radiator only to further help me by sending me back to the shop I got the radiator from to do the repair under warranty free of charge.
There are still great people out there like Mike who would actually turn away business in order to save his customers money.
We did find a leak in the water pump and his price is extremely competitive and fair. I will be going back next week for the repair and will update my post.

I am so happy I found Mike’s Auto on Unilocal!Mike is very honest and understanding of any financial constraints you may have. He tells you what needs to be done along with an estimate and his recommendation which is honest, even it means that you do not do the repair. His wife who helps manage the shop is also extremely kind and understanding and even gave me a ride home. I will definitely be keeping Mike as my go to mechanic and recommend him to family and friends.

Brought my 2003 Trailblazer in for a water pump noise. I figured it was going out and Mike quickly confirmed it. He replaced the water pump, the fan clutch assembly (as recommended by Chevrolet), and had it ready to go in less than a day. His charges were less than ½ of what a dealer quoted me. I drove it to Tahoe the next day and have put on 1,000 miles since the repair, and there are no leaks, noises, or problems. To top it off, Mike and his wife are awesome people.

This guy is legit. He got me in for an appointment two hours after I called him, panicking, diagnosed the horrible thumping sound my beloved Ford was making in about two seconds, and completely replaced the struts for under $ 400. Now my car doesn’t sound like the members of Monty Python are clopping coconut halves together under the floorboard.
Also I think someone who puts their dog on their business card is inherently more trustworthy than someone who doesn’t. Admit it, you like it too.

I drove right by it at first but once I got there I was very pleased. Mike is AWESOME! He is honest which is very hard to find with car repair. My Prius was looked at by the Toyota Dealership and I was told there was a very expensive problem that needed to be fixed. On a whim I took it to Mike’s shop and he thoroughly looked at it and gave me his honest opinion that there was nothing that needed to be repaired. I have had no problems with it at all and I am thankful for the 2^nd opinion. I will return to his shop for any problems that our cars/​trucks have.

Mike and Victoria are both really wonderful people. Mike is very honest and efficient, a completely stand up guy who does great work. They have very affordable prices and a awesome new waiting room with a sectional, big screen TV and cable .I would hands down never hesitate to recommend this shop to anyone I know. Great place! Mike and his wife are very nice and hard working. Mike has gone out of his way multiple times to fit my car into his schedule and get me on my way. Very affordable prices and nice waiting room w/​sectional, big screen, and cable. Would recommend this shop to anyone!!!
