History

Established in 1997.

Beginning her career with roles in distinguished design firms and set decoration for film and television, Michelle Moore, a Bay Area native, established her own firm in 1997. With over 20 years’ experience weaving together health, aesthetics, ecology and the built environment, Moore Design Group (MDG) offers a unique and innovative approach to design and lifestyle. Meet the Business Owner

Michelle M.

Business Owner

Michelle Moore holds a BFA from the Academy of Art in San Francisco. She was the recipient of the Andre Friant Design Competition Scholarship Award and has been published in Better Homes and Gardens New Decorating Book. Prior to discovering design nirvana, Michelle spent half a decade in the academic study of Learning and Developmental Disabilities and Holistic Health, which laid the foundation of her design approach, a natural segue into the interplay between health and the built environment. Passionate for the natural world, Moore has gained expertise in the technical aspects of green building and design. She is a LEED Accredited Professional, a Certified Green Building Professional, and a Certified Building Performance Inspector. She’s a member of the USGBC and ASID.
