AMT has grown from just a few individuals focused on the automotive market in 1989 to more than 120 technical professionals who execute robotics automation services across a diversity of industries. We’re in aerospace, alternative energy, food and beverage, rubber and plastics, material handling and pretty much anywhere robots are used.

Michael J.
Business Owner
As founder and President of Applied Manufacturing Technologies, Mike is laser focused on the company’s leadership position in the world of robotic automation. He founded the company in 1989 after a successful and diverse career with GMF, now Fanuc Robotics, where he was responsible for product marketing, the planning and development of offline robot programming and simulation software. Prior to entering the robot industry, Mike held engineering and R&D positions with Westinghouse Corporation and Eaton Corporation.
Mike holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University and a MS in Electric & Computer Engineering from Wayne State University. He is also a licensed Professional Engineer.
Mike is active in a variety of professional and community organizations. He is involved in the World President’s Organization, the Robotics Industries Association as a Member of the Board of Directors, the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, the Institute of Electrical and Electronic
