Body & Brain Orland Park

Was walking by this place one day and saw a sign in the window offering a «5 dollar massage» promotion. Not one to pass up such a deal, I gave it a try, and my experience of learning what dahn yoga was all about had begun…
The massage was VERY rough. She was pushing around my neck and shoulders in such a way that my conclusion was that she was attempting to cause pain. When I called her out on this, her response was: «oh it is painful because you have energy blockages, you need to sign up for our classes so we can fix it».
Right.
At this point, a very aggressive sales pitch began. Lots of coercion and manipulation, also lots of secrecy and avoidance of any direct questions. My BS detector was in full swing so I did a little digging.
Turns out that dahn yoga is considered a cult with a colorful legal history including charges of tax evasion, fraud, undue influence, unfair and deceptive business practice, sexual abuse, and the death of a student in Sedona.
Beyond this, students are asked to pay exorbitant amounts of money for questionable pseudo-​scientific ‘training’ which any skeptical mind should doubt the validity of.
There are lots of 5 star reviews here saying «how awesome» it is, but I don’t know, they all sort of look alike. Do your research before dumping your cash or time here. You owe it to yourself.

I have really bad anxiety and panic attacks so I took up meditation and yoga and it’s literally a miracle I will be doing this for the rest of my life .it makes you feel amazing and help you focus more on he positive ! Love it this location is amazing

I always feel more energized and focused and very peaceful. I especially love the tai chi class I fell grouned and centered it is agreat way to start my day. The breathing and meditation help me to relax and focus on myself all day long. The instuctors are very helpful with any questions you may have.

What a joy I ever had ! very cheerful, energizing, and peaceful at the same time.
I love the meditation at the end after all stretching and breathing.
