I’ve been to funerals I’ve enjoyed more than my trip to Dave and Buster’s. The place is filthy, packed, every fifth game is out of order, ALL of the games are cash grabs for tickets to trade in for flea market consumer goods, and the drinks are expensive. Have you been to a Chuck E. Cheese lately? Same thing here, with booze. It’s a shame, really. When I was a kid, Showbiz Pizza was the place to have your birthday party. They had video games… like REAL video games where you drop a token and play for ten minutes or so and then move on to the next one. I miss those days. Nothing about D&B recreates(or even approximates) that experience. Avoid.

We went on a monday during the day. Its one of the much nicer ones and not crowded. Staff are helpful and the games are fun. The game prices are that bad. Wednesdays is half off games. Didnt have drinks or food here. The prizes were good. But personally nothing that caught ym attention. Just got some dave n buster glasses n cups.

Waitress helped herself to a $ 300 tip from my debit card. First time here. NEVER go to this establishment! First, my play card was stolen, manager was too busy to help me. Second, paid to get my coats checked discovered when I got home was given the wrong coat for my son. Called to ask them to look, staff was horribly rude, never even looked and hung up on me 4 times! Finally got this rude, uncaring manager kyla. She actually looked for the cost and found it. She offered me a play card which I refused because I will never set foot back in there. Next day my debit card got charged $ 393 for two burgers and some Mac and cheese that were gross! Left me 17 dollars in my account for the week! The waitress helped herself to a 300 dollar tip at my expense. Managers(all of them except Erin who was great) Kyla and Larry could have cared less! Said they have to process through corporate. 5 days later I’m still waiting and haven’t gotten my refund. They won’t even comp me for the meal as an apology! This place is a joke, management is a joke! They robbed me, stole from me, and then treated me as if it was no big deal! Avoid this place art all costs!!! I’m a single mother of 3 boys who was trying to do something nice for her kids but because of dave and busters I haven’t eaten in two days!

If you’re just coming to game, this place is pretty cool. If you’re coming to game and eat… re-think the eating part. The food was good, but the service was terrible. We wasted over 1 ½ hours trying to eat here. Our waitress was ghost for the most part and the food took FOREVER and was a little cold when it finally arrived. Didn’t bother to send back as we didn’t want to waste anymore time. The bar was DIRTY — lots of employees standing around while the bar had a bunch of dirty plates just sitting there and on the bar tables. Definitely turned us off from sitting there and paying more for their overpriced drinks. The liquor drinks were very inconsistent and I ordered 2 of those slush drinks that were all but water by time I finally got them — the light flashing in the cup worked though! Also, hold your pee for home, the bathrooms were gross. Again, the game part was well kept and in good condition. Will come back, but not to eat, drink or use the restroom. I’ll do all that before hand next time.

This is much smaller than the Addison one. My first mistake was choosing to go here on a rainy weekend– it was packed. My second mistake was not putting our names down for the restaurant the second we walked in. It was easy enough to reload my card with tokens at the kiosk. My kid enjoying mashing buttons and wiggling the joysticks. He actually won one of the driving games so that was amusing. Previous reviews mention how persistent the staff was about making sure kids were with an adult at all times. This particular day, they were not. Kids running at full speed through the crowd. One knocked my kid over while he was standing at one of the skee ball games. Sure he’s 15 months old but had it been an older kid/small adult they definitely would’ve been knocked off balance. And it’s not like he was in the walkway either– he was at the game with me next to him. I got bumped and hit so much by kids running on one of the instances, out of pure reflex, I actually shoved back. Kids wrestling between the games bumping into people. I get it– kids need to run off energy and this seemed like a good option on a rainy day but this was dumb. So it’s getting to be dinner time. I walk over to the front area and ask a staff member if this particular line(imagine me gesturing to the line) was for the restaurant. He said yes. So I stand there for a good 10 minutes. I finally get to the front and I’m told no this is the line for reloading/tokens. Ugh. So I go to the actual place to put our names down and for two(really me and a high chair) it’s an hour and a half wait. No way. I want out of this place. The last time I was at the Addison location(on a summer weekend with overcast weather) there was no wait for the restaurant and there was plenty of room to move around even though it was busy. I assumed this location was like that location(my third mistake). It’s not. Should I opt to go back to a D&B(I kind of have to, my money is being held hostage on the game card), I’ll make the trip out to Addison.

My son had a great time but he’s six so… Pros: server was pleasant, games to play Cons: the food was not pleasant and over priced for the quality and portion size, the food runners either did not know their table numbers or server rang in the wrong tables, it seemed like the managers were visiting all yhe tables do to complaints. So I give d n b 2 stars

Visited this location last Sunday with my team as a recognition event for their hard work. At first it was busy which was expected for the time that we came. It took more than an hour to be seated which was not a huge problem for us because we were able to wait at the bar area and watch the tvs as we waited. When we got seated, we were helped by a waitress which we later found out had only served one other time before. Only real issue was that we had to wait for our waters for a long time. We didn’t end up getting them until after we received our food. Same goes for our check, we had to wait a good 45 min for our check. Benefit of the doubt she’ll get better as time goes but maybe she should have had a manager or someone to shadow her tables to make sure she was doing alright. But still great games as always

Had a great time on Jan 21, 2016 Games were working only one was out of order Bartender was very helpful picking out drinks and super fast service. We normally go to the Addison location but this place was less crowded and the service was fast and efficient. And there are plenty of restaurants down LaGrange Rd to choose from if you aren’t up to the usual burger chicken finger stuff from D&B.

Haters gonna hate. Players gonna play. And Eric S is a #PLAYER Why this D&B has such a low rating is beyond me. Between the beer, food, and hi-tech arcade I don’t see what’s not to love about this place. Perhaps it’s the age restriction(anyone under 18 must be accompanied by someone 25 or older, kind of a bullsh*t requirement). This means that in theory, a 24 year old«adult» cannot bring their 17 year old sibling, a policy I can’t agree with at all. Regardless, I spent close to 4 hours here in enjoying one of the best SundayFundays in recent memory on 1÷10÷15. Jackie S and I were seated in the dining area where we filled up on food and booze before diving into the game arena. Their gameday special on Sundays and Mondays is $ 5 appetizers, which we took full advantage of. The menu was extensive and had some crazy good sounding selections, like a short rib mac’n’cheese sandwich and buffalo wing burger. Lots of cocktails to pick from as well. We ordered a salted pretzel braid that came with queso and habenero honey mustard, loaded nachos, and mozza sticks. Our server did a fine job and I was very pleased with the quality and value of the stuff we ate. They also featured 22oz domestics for $ 3.50, a deal too great to pass up. When all was said and done, I had gotten 7 tall beers and was ready to win me some tickets! And win tickets I did. Their state-of-the-art arcade was almost overwhelming; my first stop was a Kung Fu Panda game where you had to whack one of six pads to break the pot/eat the dumpling. Wouldn’tcha know it, I beat Master Sifu and found myself 1,000 tickets richer. wha-CHA! Moving on to something called ‘Speed of Light’, it tested my visual acuity and mongoose-like reflexes, which was a blast. There was also a giant Connect 4 and a myriad of arcade staples, including racing modules, the ‘stop the wheel’ timing games and ‘token pusher’ ones. I still maintain that Guitar Hero: Arcade Edition is a terrible idea, with tweens and their sticky fingers constantly smashing the guitar controller and basically rendering the game unplayable. Damn kids! Although I found some sweet redemption tucked away in the corner, in the form of an AMAZING shooter game called Dark Escape 4D(essentially a House of the Dead knockoff). It’s a 2-person booth with curtains and 3D glasses that requires you to shoot the mutants/zombies. The fun doesn’t stop there, however – at certain points during the horror experience the seats vibrate(when attacked) and air jets trigger(when taking damage). Suffice it to say, it’s a balls-to-the-wall trip that transcends the boundaries of a simple light gun shooter. Best. Game. EVER! Eventually I ran out of game credits, cashed out, and meandered over to the redemption center. They had some pretty nifty prizes, everything from Minion plushies to sports memorabilia, to blutooth karaōke machines and even a PS4. For the hefty price of 3,400 tickets, I left with a desktop Northwestern football helmet for my dad, Rick S. Not having to carry around a big bucket ‘o’ tickets was a lovely added bonus, since all tickets are electronically tracked to your card. If I had to be critical of one aspect of D&B, it’s the game credit system, which is deceiving and rather expensive. It’s a great strategy on the management’s’ part, since very few customers will catch onto the pricing scheme of ‘absolute dollars per game’. Being an engineer, I did the math and was stunned to learn that many games were $ 1.83 /play. Yikes. Bread = 4.5 Circuses = 4.5 I was teetering on the 4 – 5 star border… and then I went to the bathroom. What I found inside – besides a modern and particularly clean men’s room – was something I’d only ever read about but had yet to actually witness in person: an interactive freaking urinal. YEP, you read that right, a small monitor displayed a downhill skiing mini-game that’d track your(for lack of a better term) pee stream. The mini-game ended when your bladder was empty, and you could even upload your high score/longest pee to an e-whizz leaderboard. Why anyone apart from R Kelly would want to do that, I have no idea. More importantly, it provided me with a perfect opportunity for a David Caruso moment: [removes sunglasses] You might say that using the Dave & Busters bathroom was a real… [puts sunglasses back on] …pissing contest. YYYEEAAAAAHHHHH Spending a few hours @ D&B drinking beer and playing flashy arcade games is the most fun you can have without taking your pants off.

3 stars because it was a fun day. However, unless you book the expensive party plans, don’t expect a great deal of attention for a large party of people. We brought 12 people to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The manager had to be pleaded with to allow us to set up before my wife got there. No offer to make any effort to celebrate. No song or no cake with a candle. Most places like to make sure a group has a great experience. Kind of felt like we could have come or not, didn’t really matter. Food was good, kind of slow. For a large group, our table needed 2 servers which would have helped drinks get refilled sooner, get condiments sooner while food was still hot, and other incidental things that come up. Overall, we made it a fun time. Dave and Busters’ only contribution to the party was simply existing. We had a decent time, but I’ll not bring a group here again.

This place is a dump. Always crowded filled with lots of rude people. One person there with their son threatened to beat me up because I played a game that her and her kid were sitting by. She claimed her kid wasn’t done playing yet they were just sitting there. No one around to control this trash taking over. I think Dave and busters needs security walking around.

I’m surprised by all the bad reviews. This definitely isn’t one of the best Dave and Busters I have been to, but I didn’t think my experience was that terrible. We went on a Saturday at 6pm and only had to wait 15 mins for a table which isn’t a big deal since we were able to sit at the bar. The food was pretty good, nothing to rave about, but not terrible. The games were a bit expensive, but really fun. My boyfriend won big and was able to get me a stuffed animal with tickets to spare which is pretty cool! Overall a pretty good night.

Recent visit was on a Saturday night at 7:00PM to 8:30PM. Note that, it was a 3 hour wait to get a table to eat in the dining room area, needless to say we did not stay here for dinner. Directly from the Dave and Buster’s website… «House Policies: All ages are welcome at Dave & Buster’s. Minors under 21 years old must be accompanied by an adult age 25 or older. There is a maximum of 6 minors to each adult age 25 or older. Fri-Sat after 11pm you must be 21& up. « Yes. You read that correctly. If you are 21 and under, you are considered a minor here and need to be accompanied by an adult 25 years older. We brought our 10 year old here and were constantly told he needed to be with an adult, even though we were 2 games away playing something else. While I understand that this place is not Chuck E Cheeses, we, the parents are standing close by and not abandoning our child here. While I appreciate that the staff is looking our for us the parent, you didn’t need to walk by us to point us to the our child and ask, «Ma’am is that your child? You need to accompany him the entire time». While this location is cleaner, much more spacious than the location downtown, it doesn’t have as many gaming option to choose from. There are tables and stools all over the establishment for you to sit down while watching your group play. There are paper buckets on the tables for you to use to stow your tickets away in. We grabbed a few drinks and ordered a few appetizers from the bar area, but none of which was memorable enough or worth mentioning. The bartenders and food runners though, were friendly, courteous, and fast on getting the drinks appetizers out.

Went last night after a pick up at Midway airport … this was one of the few restaurants open until midnight and we showed up at 11:10 just wanting a quick sandwich and a beer. It really shouldn’t bother staying open. We stood at the service desk waiting for someone to notice us and offer us a table. No one did. Staff were busy with a few tables in the restaurant but to a person — and that included staff members walking in and out of the kitchen and all the staff in the bar area — everyone saw us and just turned away. We stood around for five minutes and just gave up and went to Buffalo Wild Wings. It is too bad for B&B because they were much more attentive before. I think they have hired on all their holiday-season staff that is not permanent and it shows. If you let the kids run the place without proper management, then things start heading south pretty quick.
