By far the best place to take your car. Owner walked me into the shop to show me what was wrong with my car, showed me the cost of the parts online, and gave me a few options for the fix. Honest, in-​and-​out service.

I have had numerous problems with my car in the last 6 months and for every one of them, I have brought my car to Orland Tuffy. They have been a blessing with their expertise and hard work. Not only is everyone at the shop approachable, respectful, and kind but they do their absolute best to fix things quickly, efficiently, and correctly. Sam takes the time to explain exactly what needs to be done to your vehicle before working on it and still continues to answer any questions that you might have after the work has been completed. They go above and beyond to make sure that your car is fixed properly and safely. It is really nice and refreshing to see a family business that is managed so well and by such wonderful people. Thank you for all you do, guys! I truly appreciate you!

Very over priced. I have been charged almost $ 40 for an oil change instead of the deal offered for the $ 20 oil change due to the computer system in my car. This is the only place that has ever done that to me. Everywhere else I have gone since has charged me around $ 20 and said that a computer system makes no difference in an oil change.
Also, I called for an estimate on replacing a headlight, they told me it would be $ 50 if I brought my own bulb and more if they used theirs. I got estimates from a couple other places and they were all charging between $ 20-​$ 25 and they will provide the bulb. I told each business the model and year of my car.
The reason I gave them the two stars was for the customer service. Although I feel they cheated me in prices, the owner and employees were all kind towards me. They seem like nice people. If they were in the same price range as most other businesses in the area I would continue to go there, but it’s just too high for me.

I have been bringing my Hyundai Santa Fe here now for the last 4 years. My car has 130k on it and I always know my vehicle will be safe when brought here. I’ve had numerous issues over the past few years and this last one being $ 1900 in repairs. But this is for rack and pinion and a new A/​c compressor (both huge labor jobs) and some other little issues that came up. If I would’ve gone to Hyundai the price would have been about double that. They put new wiper blades on for me without charging and replaced a burnt out bulb because I had spent so much. This is a family owned Tuffy and they are the nicest guys here. Sometimes you can feel ripped off at some car places and i never feel that way here. They will work to get you the right price. They will fully inspect your vehicle to ensure its safe, check brakes, hoses and belts as well. When you drive alot for work, cannot afford a huge car payment and want your old car to last, bring it here, they will take good care of you.

We were in town over the weekend for a VB tourney and my alternator went out. They got me in first thing on Monday morning and we were on the road by 10am. Very friendly service. The price was what I expected. They knew we were headed back to St. Louis as soon as they were done so they topped off the fluids and checked the tire pressure for me. Stellar service! Made it back to St. Louis with confidence in my van. Thank you, Tuffy’s!

I now have a have mechanic I can truly trust! I brought my 2004 Mitsubishi, with 155,000 miles on it to Tuffy in Orland because it was the closest location. I was having severe front end problems and was scared to drive it anywhere. I thought the diagnosis was going to horrible and expensive. They had my car inspected within 15 minutes. (I think they didn’t want to keep me waiting and worried). They even took me into the garage and showed me the problem. It was a bad hub bearing. They even brought out a stethoscope so I could hear for myself! They explained to me exactly what a hub bearing does and how it affects driving, steering, wheels, etc. I thought that was fabulous. The only thing I know about my car is how to put the key in it and turn it on and put it in drive and reverse. I am convinced, by my previous experiences with mechanics, that I would have paid for a whole new front end, what that means, I do not know. All I was thinking was that it would cost me 5 times what I paid for. AND my car feels like I just drove it off the showroom floor. It has never felt like that since I bought it used 2 years ago and countless money spent. I am very happy with the service, their professionalism, and price.

I can’t believe that there are only TWO Unilocal reviews on this business! My car’s alternator died on me and sent me into a panic! I contacted Tuffy and they arranged to check out my vehicle that same afternoon. Joe explained everything that was happening and gave me a very reasonable estimate — the bonus was that my car was repaired in less than two hours! Fantastic! Women can be taken advantage of when it comes to car repairs, but I never got that vibe from them. Believe me, I have «car repair» battle scars to prove it — LOL! Will recommend them to everyone — and this is NOT a solicited endorsement. Great job, guys!

Went in for an oil change and remembered I had to get my headlight changed. They did both quickly. I liked that they had something other than guy magazines available to read and the guy who did the work and the other who rang me up were both nice guys that I didn’t feel were out to screw me.

Probably the best oil change experience I have every had. I’m basing this off the great customer service because most places you go people are not a nice as this place here. The waiting area has leather couches (clean) a flat screen tv with HD, coffee and pop (free) and a bathroom that would rival any business when it comes to cleanliness. So now the most important part, the oil change was done correctly and on time. You have to trust this review, because honestly who would write a review on a oil change unless he meant it.

I can not speak more highly of the guys at this place. Joe, the foreman of the shop greets as soon as a customer walks in the door and is very informative as well as welcoming. I brought my Honda Accord there the other day and not only did Sam (the owner) power wash the undercarriage and my engine but he also did a fantastic job fixing my car and made it run like new. He even had Jim, his son, give me a ride home out of the kindness of not making me wait there. He told me to come back the next day to check if the sparkplug wires were holding up and upon further inspection found a leaky hose. To my surprise I asked how much this one would cost and he told me it was on the house. My family trusts this Auto Shop with all of our vehicles and it’s a pleasure to even do business with such a fantastic family. It makes trusting mechanics a lot easier when you have people like these, just genuinely great guys. They do it all through a solid job and even better customer service. I’m confident in saying there is no better service in the Southwest suburbs of Chicago, their full auto service care is second to none. Go get your oil changed if you don’t believe me.
