History

Established in 1991.

Rob first explored photography at the age of 13 and later worked to create an individualized major in Photography at Valparaiso University. This time of exploration and experimentation laid the foundation for Rob’s present photographic style. His entry into professional photography began as an assistant to commercial photographers in Chicago, concentrating primarily in the advertising and catalog markets. In 1995 the decision was made to move away from assisting and direct all energies into honing a style and direction for Rob and Wehmeier Photography. This transitional period allowed for varied opportunities and clients in addition to creative experimentation with formats, lighting and subjects.
