This is a small Caribbean shop on the SE corner of Silver Star Road and Hiawassee in a litte strip mall. So far, I have not tried anything but the patties but I can tell you they were the best I have ever had. The crust is light– not heavily breaded and they are full of meat! The spicy ones were the ones I had and I tasted the spice. Outside of Jamaica, I think these are the best patties ever! I have not tried the food yet as I kind of like to see my food, and theirs is not displayed out front like most Caribbean restaurants. However, I don’t let it stop me at other places right? So I see the reviews and I will give it a shot next as I am not that thrilled with the Golden Krust across the street from them.

Best Jamaican food in town. The food is so light and flavorful. Doesn’t sit heavy on ya stomach, and very fresh. Worth the drive!

My Jamaican friend recommended this place. Meat pies are heavenly. Curry goat for me, deeeelicious. Great jerk chicken & curry chicken. Yummy peas & rice. I need to stop eating, but it’s too tasty.

Heard the food was good but every time i start to go to this place to try it out there is always some kind of criminal activity going on in this area. Last week when i was going to stop in there was several police cars and crime scene tape leading up to the bakery. I would not recommend going here unless you are not concerned about your life. Not going to be on my list to try out any longer.

Love this place… Can’t wait to go back to Florida and get a bun and cheese. Reminds me of when I was younger. They give you so much food for the price and it’s delicious. See ya soon

Itsa Jamaican patty party here! And were as happy as we can be, what can I say they have kept the same recipe and flavor for ten years! Fantastic only spot in town to get the golden delicious flakey perfection they call a Jamaican beef patty.

Even if you have never had Caribbean food, you definitely want to check this place out! The meat pastries are always fresh and delicious. I love the fish and spicy beef patties! Also they cook fresh dinner plates with authentic Caribbean techniques and ingredients. My favorite is the curried goat! The sometimes lacking service forbids a full five star rating, but definitely come and try their food!

We went there on a Friday evening and found it very crowded and somewhat confusing — This is a sure sign that the food at this place is awsome! Being unsure of where to place my order, I just asked the person in front of me and they gladly told me where I needed to be. This place has authentic West Indian dishes and pastries… well worth a visit! Take out only.

Used the Groupon Daily Deal to give this place a try, started out with a spicy Jamaican patty, then added oxtails with peas rice and cabbage as the main entrée, and as I was getting ready to leave I saw they had brown dog candy. Loved the patties, they were meaty, and the crust was flaky. Oxtails are usually pricy, but they really gave you your monies worth, and the tails were meaty and tender. They really hooked me with the brown dog candy. I haven’t seen brown dog candy since I was a kid when my mother uses to make it. It tasted just like I remembered. Caribbean Sunshine is definitely now on my list of place worth driving across town for!!!

Here in Orlando for vacation from Maryland. Glad to have found a Jamaican place to eat. Had to drive 30 minutes to get there but it was worth it. Patties were good but did taste different than what I am used to. I am Jamaican by the way. Curry goat was pretty good with the rice and peas. Oxtail was good as well. But I forgot to request scotch bonnet pepper. There was none in the oxtail but a little in the goat. Very nice selection o drinks. Thy even had some Trini drinks. The place was very clean. The deserts looked delicious but I did not try any this time around. I did not try the hard dough bread yet but I did buy one for the trip back up to Maryland tomorrow. You will not regret a stop at this place.

I have not had anything else here other than the all-famous, super delicious Jamaican Beef Patties. A little info: I am Colombian and Ecuadorian… if you look at my review for Miracali Bakery, you may notice that I like these patty-like foods. I often compare all patties to the Colombian ones I eat in NY but these Jamaican Beef Patties are all on their own! The Caribbean Sunshine Bakery has laid down its flavors to a tee. I have gone many times to get my beloved Jamaican patties and they have always tasted the same: delicious, full of Caribbean spices, a kick of heat, and extremely huge portions. I eat one patty and remain full for the rest of the day. However, when I go, I make sure to order about 4 patties because once I get home, my family will surely confiscate my left over Jamaican patties. You have a choice of beef or chicken and whatever level of spice. I’ve had both the beef and chicken, which are amazing! As with many things, the chicken is more lean but the beef patty is the original. They are quick about getting your order together so no worries about pre-ordering. The bakery also has many ethnic beverages to offer. I will definitely have to try these when I go back! As for location, Silver Star is not the nicest area that Orlando has to offer but the parking lot for the bakery is huge so that’s nice. Though I’ve only had the beef patties, I encourage anyone to eat from the rest of their menu. Good, authentic Caribbean food is hard to come back so take advantage of the Caribbean Sunshine Bakery!

There are a lot of Caribbean joints on this end of town and the Caribbean Sunshine Bakery is undoubtedly the best. From spice bread to patties to the inevitable jerk chicken, Caribbean Sunshine dishes up some of the best, at prices that you can seriously afford. Be sure to scope out the $ 3.50 lunch special with a beef patty, coco bread, and Jamaican cola that is hard to beat. You can always find something unique to try and the service is super speedy so a good cheap eat on the run.
