Caribe Royale All-Suite Hotel and Convention Center

Ok so it’s pretty n all n relatively clean but :
–Way too expensive, daily rate I mean
-«resort fee” — what is this? That’s right, nothing, just another fee
–food was crazy overpriced n not that good-​yes being able to get food ²⁴⁄₇ at that one café is convenient but $ 9 for a sandwich? I’m just assuming it was made of pearls & spun gold
-$ 20 a day for wifi? Um, it’s free at McDonald’s for christ’s sake, they can’t throw in wifi for the insane daily rate u pay?
Overall, meh… next time I’ll opt for a super 8 (with free wifi), save a few hundred dollars n spend that on reasonably priced food that’s just as good somewhere else

We had a nice time at this resort hotel. I would recommend to take full use of your mini fridge and microwave when you have kids. A lot of guest take coolers to the pool. You may also use rafts and buy them there at the pool. Drinks and meals seem to be an average of 10 bucks each. (At the pool)
There is a 24 hour café but be prepared to pay over 3 bucks for a large bottle water. It’s 3.50 fountain drink and 1.50 to refill. if you have the black dot on your room key you get a % off food/​drinks. There is a $ 20 a day resort fee. If you book off one of those travel savings sites beware it doesn’t always state and or add on the resort fee. I called the hotel and went on their web sites to see what deals they had.

The front desk printed my park tickets and plane tickets (since I lost all of them in the cab ride). Also, employees were quick to ask me if I could be helped (as I frequently have a confused look on my face haha) But most importantly, on the cab ride to the airport I realized that I lost $ 150.00 — I called the Caribe immediately, an employee found it in the room (along with a dress I forgot) and security will be shipping my belongings FedEx this week. It took all of 20 minutes for this process to happen. I have heard stories of travelers lost/​forgotten items ‘miraculously disappearing’ so I am very grateful for the honesty of the Caribe.
So, the water pressure wasn’t the best, our shower somehow left big puddles on the floor, and I question how much alcohol actually was NOT in the pool bar’s drinks, BUT hey…
Can’t beat kindness and honesty.

Every hotel will have it’s pros and cons, in my opinion. It all depends what you are looking for. For me, this hotel is able to meet most of my criteria, making it a top choice.
One, I look for a nice pool area, ideally with a slide and a fun atmosphere. Answer, the Caribe. The pool area is large, with a beautiful waterfall feature and a little water slide fun for adults and kids alike. A nice variety of pool jams play while a there is a poolside bar serving a good variety of frozen drinks and specialty cocktails.
Next, we enjoy having a suite. We are a small family, but like having space and our own beds. While it is not a huge room, it fits the bill quite well.
Of course, cleanliness is HUGE. The rooms smell fresh and linens are crisp. Convenient parking is also nice, and it is plentiful at this hotel.
Various additional amenities are the icing on this cake, with a note worthy gym, 2 jacuzzis, an arcade for the kids, onsite dining, etc.
Only thing to be aware of is the $ 20 daily resort fee, which has sadly become the standard for any so-​called resort. Also, there was a ridiculously long line to check in– 30 minutes long! Seems to be a problem that plagues this hotel, based on other reviews. Not a good first impression… Other than that, I look forward to staying here again!

The hotel/​resort is pretty much an older hotel located in Orlando. The hotel itself is in good shape. If I could rate it a 3.5, that’s the review I would really give it. The staff is very very helpful and sweet. The rental for one night was at 135.00 plus a 22.00 resort fee. The room was fairly clean and tidy. The bathroom had no water mildew buildup or rust. Overall, I have enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Although it wouldn’t be my first pick when going to a hotel in Orlando.

Not very nice. Everything appears beautiful but it really is just a façade. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The water smelled like it was piped straight from the Everglades. I know that is a common smell with Florida water but a filter would have been great. The pool was very nice but boy did it get crowded! The bed was the worst bed I’ve slept in ever. I could feel every spring and coil and it feels like it in-​did major back surgery and a year of rehab. The wifi was worse than AOL dial up in the early 90s. They cheap out and give you only two connections per room. I’m sure that is to control load on the minimally there bandwidth. The constant disconnects were just not worth using it. I came back early one day and found the maid running hot water in the glasses we used in the sink. Makes me sick to my stomach to think that is how they «wash» the glasses. How many other mouths have been on those glasses since they’ve seen any dish soap??? My husband tried to get a shower on our last day –no hot water. Not even warm water. Not the fault of the hotel but every morning and every evening the roads surrounding the hotel experience complete gridlock. Weekends included.
There must be better places to stay for the money.

We booked the room for ~380.00 on Expedia, we used the pool and exercise room. We were charged ~530.00 when we checked out. No upfront information, still a good value but the deceptiom about 25% of the cost does not sit well. Nice hotel, best fitness room with free weights, amazing pool.
Hidden charges 380.00 on Expedoa, became 411.00 at hotel, in addition at checkout, the hotel charged daily fees of 25+ ?
We would have stayed anyway… just bad PR to keep guest in the dark about actual cost when doing online comparisons.

I stayed at Caribe Royale for one night’s stay. Via Hotwire, we were able to snag this «four star» hotel at a discounted price. Looking at the beautiful prices on the website, we were so excited. Unfortunately, our stay here was not as pleasant as I had hoped. It was average.
The main problem is that we were situated near a Staff Room. Late conversations and singing could be heard as the employees entered/​exited their area. It was pretty annoying, so we did not bother using the living room portion at all. Sometimes, I heard a radio — that’s how bad it was. We also upgraded to a Deluxe room, with a Pool Side view. The Pool Side view provided was the kiddie’s pool much to my surprise.
Besides the noise and subpar view, I really enjoyed the room itself. The maintenance was well done, and the style was comfortable. The room is very spacious, and we also had a nice Whirlpool tub, which came with the upgrade. They also offer various room service options, including one for those who like to stay up very late.
Caribe Royale is definitely a place for families. It is highly booked (elevator craze), so do not come here and expect a ‘private getaway’. This is not to the fault of Caribe Royale considering its proximity to famous theme parks and the like.

We stayed at the Caribe Royal for 5 days/​4 nights while we were visiting Disneyworld. The exterior of the hotel and the lobby is very nice — all looks brand new. The rooms need some upgrading though! We booked a Deluxe King Suite (w/​a jetted tub) and it was decent. The beds are super comfy and there are 2 TVs, a refrigerator, and a microwave in the room. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My BIG complaint is about the resort fee PER NIGHT! This supposedly pays for the parking, shuttles, coffee in the room, etc. Isnt that supposed to be included in the $ 220 per night? Also, if Im paying for these shuttles — maybe have more than THREE in the morning and THREE in the evening.

This is our second stay here and for good reason. The kid loves this place for the pool. We like that it’s centrally located. The rates are great considering they offer a military discount as well as daily food and beverage credit that rolls over daily if not used. The rooms are exceptionally clean and spacious. There is great food on premises and tv options as well as free wifi and did I mention pizza delivery. I actually watched and heard the Disney fireworks show from my cozy bed here tonight as well. I also like the fact that there is a CVS located right across the street for convince. So many great things about staying at the Caribe– we will be staying a 3^rd time I’m sure– when we visit Orlando again.

This review is solely in regards to the Convention Center at Caribe Royale. Having recently attended a National Convention here I had the opportunity to experience some of the amenities and organizational capabilities of this resort. I am quite sure the National Organization that hosted the convention here coordinated all the accommodations with the resort so I can’t speak of their convention program. The convention center and surrounding grounds were very well maintained, it was very clean and there seemed to plenty of staff from the resort available to direct the attendees and also to set up the venue. The restrooms were large and located conveniently throughout the facility. If I have anything negative to say it’s that the large corridors were lacking enough chairs and benches to accommodate the attendee during breaks or in-​between events. There is plenty of «free» parking close by and the area surrounding the resort has many restaurants and other retail businesses within a short drive or walk. Over-​all the convention center was a very good choice for this size convention.

This is a nice hotel but I don’t think I would stay here again. I would have given it 3 stars (average) except that I think I got a decent rate for it through Hotwire, particularly during Spring Break week. We usually stay at Hiltons, so I’m using that as a baseline for comparison.
Pros:
–Very clean. Housekeeping does a good job cleaning the rooms. The furniture was clean and the linen were fresh and clean.
–beautiful grand lobby area
–large clean pool with waterfall and slide. Plenty of lounges and cabanas are available (for a fee I’m sure)
–well maintained basketball and tennis court available.
–restaurants and deli on premises but I only had coffee
–conveniently close to Disney, universal, and outlets
–in room microwave and mini fridge
–good shower water pressure
Cons:
–useless mandatory $ 22 resort fee/​night (see photo). Shuttles run at specific times and you have to get the vouchers at least an hour before the time. We ended up driving because the times were too restricted. Fee covers in room Internet, but only up to 2 devices. Fee covers in room coffee??? Most hotels already have that included in the room rate. The coffee is awful too.
–very noisy. The walls are very thin and you can definitely hear conversations in rooms next to you as well as in hallways. I even asked the front desk for a quiet room because I read other reviews that said it was noisy. She gave us a room on the 9^th floor in tower 3, poolside. Little did I know that they play very loud music at the pool all day!!! It was not good for naps.
If these things don’t bother you and you can get a deal, then it’s not a bad place to stay.

I stayed at this resort for three nights during a recent trip to Orlando. I must say, overall this place is really nice, and most definitely is a viable alternative to the generally pricier hotels on Disney property. We got a decent rate on our room booking through Priceline.
The location of this resort is excellent. All the Disney theme parks and Disney Springs are no more than 10 minutes away, and the other area attractions like Universal and SeaWorld are not much farther away by car. There are also a ton of stores, restaurants, and entertainment venues in the neighborhood, so basically anything you need or want to do is very easy to get to. The resort does have a shuttle service (which we did not use), but you will be better off driving your own vehicle as there is plenty of parking available.
My first impression of the resort itself is that it is HUGE. Between the hotel towers, pool area, freestanding fitness center, and main building with restaurants, a spa, meeting areas, comfortable places to sit, etc. you will do a lot of walking when exploring the property. We stayed in a standard room with two queen beds in Tower 1, 10^th floor which had a nice view. The bedroom was clean and spacious, the beds were very comfortable, and having the separate sitting area was awesome. The bathroom was great as well, however, I felt the water pressure in the shower was pretty weak. We always did have hot water though which was appreciated. The only complaint I have otherwise about the rooms are that the walls are paper-​thin: on our first night, we were woken up at 4 AM by a crying baby in the room next door, and could hear every sound for quite some time. Luckily this was not an issue the following nights, and the hotel was actually very accommodating in holding a different room for us in case the issue persisted, but I recommend bringing a small fan or at least earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.
There are lots of amenities at this resort, most of which we did not use, however we did spend some time outside at the pool area which is beautiful. I thought the fire pits nearby that were set up after dark were a nice touch. The fitness center is two floors and very well equipped. The only restaurant I visited was Café 24 in the main building, a 24-​hour café (obviously), which has your basic snacks, drinks, etc.
All things considered, the Caribe Royale is a terrific choice for a hotel in Orlando close to the parks! This is coming from someone that has slept at Disney hotels, vacation home rentals, and other hotels, but this was really nice. I hope to stay here again sometime.

As you can see from my previous reviews I have been here many times in the past on business. The resort consists of three towers, which surround the inner courtyard with the outdoor swimming pool. I have stayed at Towers 1 and 2 in the past. This was my first time to stay in Tower 3. All rooms are suite rooms with a separate bedroom for privacy. I prefer the inside view rooms of the swimming pool. The outside view rooms are of the parking area with views of the surrounding vista, which is not so appealing. My Tower 3 outside view room 3534 was $ 194 inclusive of all resort fees.
My check and check out went smoothly as usual. Normal check out is 11am, but, I was able to arrange a later 12 noon check out. Complimentary parking and internet access is also included in the resort fees.

Honestly when you staying at a hotel the most important part is the bed, that’s the reason you stay at a hotel, to sleep overnight. They refurbished the hotel but not the beds??? how does that make sense. When you come back from a long day of walking around parks, the bed is where you feel your monies worth, but this was not that case. It really put a dark cloud over our vacation.
I wanted to get that outta way before I began my entire review. The service was competent but did not really offer a full self-​service check-​in process my wife and I have come to prefer. They did not allow guests to use their baggage carts self service «for the safety of their guests» so only giving you the option to carry your bags or pay a baggage attendant to deliver them to your room. We have stayed at this resort previously and chose the delivery only to end up waiting 40 minutes for our bags to arrive to our room which we made us concerned about our personal belongings which is why we chose to carry them our selves WITHOUT a baggage cart which again WAS NOT ALLOWED!
The resort fee is a scam in general in all resorts, if you are already paying for a premium stay why would you charge extra (nickel and diming). while this resort wasn’t any different in this aspect they did have free parking and free internet which is a plus, but there are other resorts on I-​drive that offer a beautiful resort without a resort fee, and include free parking and internet .
Result: I don’t recommend this

1. My confirmed reservation for a 6 day stay with a one night paid reservation was «not in their system» when I checked in. I had to show my email from them reflecting the 1 night chafe before they would find me a room. I was told extra room night would be charged and later removed.
2. Night 1 room service dinner was all wrong and cost me $ 68 for a burger, shirty salad, an small decals coffee.
3. Night 2 room service was a duplicate of night 1 even after telling the order take to repeat what I ordered which she did. But again they got the same meal mixed up the same way as in Night 1.
4. I ordered Chinese delivery tonight and git exactly what I wanted for less than half the cost of room service.
5. Tonight I discovered a scabby bloody mess at the foot of my bed spread.
6. This tired old hotel needs a makeover and new management.

Stayed here for a week on a vacation with the family since they needed two bedroom suites and didn’t want to pay 3000 a night on property.
If your debating to chose an off property site because of price, this is the place to do it, epic service, great rooms, great beds, huge room to sprawl out and take care of business. Everything is legit and upscale and the lobby is a wow factor while checking in, and had no problem checking in either. They have two bedroom suites located behind the property if you need them and a quick wall to the main pool or you have your own personal pool and patio.
The only reason for not 5 stars is the kitchen/​room service issue is really odd, they say 24 hours but you can’t go to the kitchen room and order a sandwich you have to do it room service and take the fee charge of delivery which is whack. If I want to walk to the diner and pick up some food after hours you can’t, it has to be room service. They do have gluten-​free bread which is pretty awesome, and I did have a BLT which was excellent. They do have huge bottles of Evian water in the room for like $ 3 which is cheaper than the store.
This is a legit property to stay at and I usually stay at higher end hotels and I would stay here again if we had a huge family. Check it out! They do offer Free Wi-​Fi.

Great location for a Disney vacation without the Disney hotel prices. Let me make a disclaimer that I am loyal to a specific brand of hotel. My family decided they wanted to stay here. This hotel was much cheaper. The grounds are nice, the rooms are like small apartments perfect for a family with children.
I only stayed one night as I had to get back to work.
I would recommend it to a family with kids who would like to save a few bucks.

Absolutely fantastic hotel. Still under-​going renovations so the lobby was a work in progress. My boyfriend found this hotel and what a find! I did not find it outrageously expensive and especially for the location.
We stayed only for a night to experience Halloween Horror Nights on a recent weekend and it was definitely worth it. I felt like it was a mini resort.
Downside?
— Parking. that is another scenario. We had to park on the other side of the hotel because there was absolutely no parking.
— Check your room thoroughly. We found our smoke detector was covered up. We let the housemaids and maintenance know asap because we didn’t want to be seen as fault.
— Wish there was an «adult pool». Apparently the Villas have their own pool and only guests staying at the villas have access. Since we stayed at the main hotel we were unable to use the facilities and although I love going to the pool with families, there’s something about drinking around little children that I’m not entirely keen with.
Best perk? For $ 25 we rented a cabana by the pool that included a cooler filled with water bottles, towels, facial towels and two drink tickets. Are you kidding me?! What a steal. I almost didn’t want to share the tidbit because no one was taking advantage of this and I couldn’t believe it! But how could I let my fellow Unilocalers not share in this awesome experience.
Customer Service? It was exceptional to me. Didn’t come across anyone who didn’t have a smile or greeted us.
Definitely WILL be back.

First and foremost when we pulled up it was and looks like a very nice hotel resort and it is. Beautiful on the inside after the fact that my mouth literally hit the floor when I seen hundreds of people standing in the doorway to the check-​in desk. Holy cow. Wow!
This is rediculous. You cant check in till after 4pm. It is 6:45pm and this place is lined up to forever!!!
They have a hertz rental agent inside here.
Handicap parking is right in the front where they valet. Thats a plus but the LINE!!! Very understaffed

Oh wow!!! Now I had to take time away from the pool to have my room keys rekeyed. For some reason they stopped working.
I can charge a float to my room with no ID but my oldest son, 26, cant come down here and get the keys rekeyed.
Wow!!! All he had to do was verify the address on the account???
I will NOT be back at this resort. There are much better options in Orlando then to be this stressed and bothered.
The receptionist said if the keys are put next to a cell phone they deactivate. ALL three keys were not near a cell phone.
Back in a LINE again… ugh!!! Not happy. Its now a 1 star

5 kids were running down the hallway screaming and out of control, literally. Tried calling 0 on the house phone. Kept getting a voice message saying we will be with you momentarily…
If there was a true emergency I see a BIG problem here. Where are the parents!!!
