Delmonico’s Italian Steak House

First impression right out the gate was this was a very nice upscale new your style steakhouse. However the server couldn’t remember who ordered what drinks. We ordered a wide range of food and most of the food looked and tasted great. It wasn’t all hot off the grill. Some of it wasn’t prepared as ordered. And refills on drinks required running down a server even if it wasn’t ours. Overall it all could have been just a crappy wait staff tonight.

Went for dinner on Sunday, we both had the Delmonico special.
The outside is very inviting, there is a nice fountain, a perfect photo opportunity.
The inside was very nice, it felt like we walked into a old school steak house in NYC.
The music was great, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, etc it was a great touch. I really enjoyed the music.
The waitresses all wore very sexy stockings, very tasteful.
Bread came with fluffy Gaelic buttery while fresh was not hot. But very good.
Steaks came, hers Medium rare, mine medium. Steaks were cooked perfectly. Seasoned well and hot. But not 24 ounces maybe 20, and mine had average fat for Delmonico cut while my wife’s was half fat.
504 so all in all a meal was OK, but there was too much fat on the steaks they could’ve been cleaned up a little bit better and also the full 24 ounces.

Food was acceptable but terrible customer service. Waited an hour and 15 minutes to get food and then one of our party didn’t get entrée. Waited another 15 minutes to get the bill (since the waitress was more concerned with party of attractive young gentlemen sitting next to us). No one came by in all that time to check on us. Manager offered once to find out why the long wait — never came back with an apology or an explanation. Never offered to make things right. Instead, took the appetizers off the bill without bothering to speak with us. Would never recommend this place. Very poor service and it was obvious no one cared whether we were satisfied or not.

We dined at this restaurant based on a recommendation from a friend. We had the filet mignon with house salad and the filet portabella. Both were excellent. My friend recommends the demonico steak Pittsburg style rare medium rare. Excellent staff. We were seated right away and the waiter was very attentive. We are glad we came here for dinner.

The wait for a Sunday dinner was pretty long, However the hostess and manager Roberto took care of our party of 9. Every dish was delish. 5 stars on service and 5 stars on the food! If you’re in Orlando, you have to eat here before going home! They are all about providing great service and quality on the food!

I had the special which was a filet with blue cheese over Fettuccini Alfredo. It was great & the steak was cooked a perfect medium rare. Everyone in my party loved their entrees. Good service & great food.

Great place for good quality food! I’ve been here three times now and have enjoyed it. The bread and garlic butter were a nice combination. The pasta was al dente and the meat was cooked right. This time I ordered a medium rare Delmonico Steak and paired it with a nice glass of Da Vinci Chianti! It was an incredible deal for a 24oz steak for only $ 25.99 with a side of Fettuccine Alfredo (recommended to me by our waitress). I suggest if you get a drink to order the Pomegranate Martini over the Bellintini. Overall a really nice dining experience; I loved the décor, enjoyed the food, and suggest you take a taste if you are in town!

The manger agreed on them giving us a bad cut.

They grilled the asparagus on the charcoal grill but the steak on a flat top and covered it with fat.
Who does that?
We got an expensive wine bottle ($ 49) but it was super cold.
Instead of bringing us a new one, the waiter ignored us and just opened it.
In the end they offered us a complimentary desert that nobody wanted, and didn’t take anything of the bill.
Very rude.
Wouldn’t recommend this place.

Maybe it’s due to the fact that I was happy over some recent news, but my fiancé and I highly enjoyed our dinner experience. We arrived in time for Happy Hour which was great since they offered several drink and food deals. I ordered a 22oz. Bass for $ 5 while my fiancé ordered a few $ 6 cocktails which were well worth it.
We started off with their Bella Napoli (Pasta Chips, Sausage, Olives, Asiago Sauce, Romano & Provolone, Peppers, Tomato & Onion); it’s pretty much Italian Nachos, but they were tasty and filling. I wouldn’t have minded more sausage and cheese, but they aren’t a bad deal. The large appetizer allowed me to order a smaller meal so we opted for a pair of their steak sandwiches off their Happy Hour menu so they were only $ 5 each, very good deal. The steak (4oz.) wasn’t large, however, it was topped off with grilled mushrooms, blue cheese and served on a great roll.
My initial reaction to the sandwich was that this place must cook an excellent steak and I’m sure I’d return to order off of their actual dinner menu. The service started out very slowly and didn’t really improve throughout the meal, but it didn’t reach a level that would prevent me from returning.

One of the best delmonicos I have ever had. Juicy, nice marble, cooked perfectly. Was not over seasoned. Lasagna was also awesome, made with sausage. Would definitely recommend. Nice to eat away from the main strip.

Ok, so if this was in a major dining city it’d probably only warrant four stars, but after a week in Orlando – where even the good meals are tinged with corporate mediocrity – Delmonico’s was a welcome relief.
Great Italian food, steaks had a beautiful sear, calamari appetizer wasn’t left to die under a heat lamp. The food came out quickly and was paced nicely.
Well, mostly. There was a mishap with my wife’s entrée. (Official explanation: the kitchen didn’t read it on the ticket. More likely: server didn’t ring it in.)
Whatever. Humans make mistakes, and I’m more interested in how the inevitable problems are handled anyway. In this case, our server was quick to let us know there was a problem, and two managers came by to apologize and assure us that the kitchen was hard at work making it right.
Her dish came out shortly after, and they comped us some desserts. No harm, no foul.
All told, six of us ate GIANT portions, with an appetizer, a couple salads, and a few drinks, and our bill was… $ 200. That’s a screaming bargain. (Compare to The Boathouse the night before: an app, two drinks, & two entrées was $ 120.)
I’ll be rec’ing this to any Orlando-​bound folks I know, and I recommend to you too. Cheers.

Nice family restaurant, good atmosphere and the ambiance is lighthearted mobsters meets Italian artists while eating family style southern Italian meals. The Delmonico steak is above average in taste and it’s pretty large.
The pasta dishes are pretty good as well. It’s a great family restaurant and very reasonably priced. The service is very good and the servers make a you feel right at home.

Cool restaurant that has that Goodfellas theme to it. Lot’s of Frank Sinatra memorabilia and music in the background.
Besides the novelty of the theme, the food is actually really good.
We had the Delmonico steak, the Chicken rigatoni, portobello mushroom parmigiana.
We polished it off with their Tiramisu and the Mixed Berries Zabaqlione, which is a great combo.
All above for 70 $ (tax included). Best meal we had while on our vacation.

So very impressed with this place. $ 24.99 for a pound and a half of Delmonico steak.
At this point I’m sure you’re thinking «but was it good?»
YAAAASSSSSSSSSS. It was freaking amazing. Cooked absolutely perfect — medium rare. char on the bits of fat, perfect seasoning… total perfection… and I’m a self proclaimed steak snob (among other things, but this is not the time nor review for that). I subbed broccoli for the pasta because I’m trying to watch my girlish figure (because I just ordered over a pound of steak, AMIRITE??? — oh I drank a Diet Pepsi too: P)
Service was fantastic. We were one of the first parties in the place as they opened at 4pm (don’t judge, we were hungry). The décor is very Italian mobster-​esque and a nice Sinatra-​ish playlist «bumps» for your enjoyment.
Fresh bread, garlic butter, wedge salad with blue cheese, raviolis & lasagna were also on the table and everything was outstanding.
So happy we found this place and even happier that the food and service were fantastic!!!
If you come here, try the Delmonico steak!!!

Went here back in January when in town for a conference. Feels almost Sicilian like although the servers attires a little unexpected. Great food nonetheless and good selection of wine is available as well. It’s priced moderately but it’ll leave you with plenty of leftovers.

I really like this place. The food is NY Italian, which is a bit different than straight from Italy, but I do enjoy it. The place is casual and cozy inside, the service is excellent. Prices are very reasonable and the portions are big. The mozzarella, tomato and basil salad is deliciously topped with a homemade dressing. The Ribeye steak is enormous and cooked exactly to your order. The pasta dishes are well done. I am always to full to order dessert, but they tell me I would love them.

This place is awesome. Such a great find! We came here as a party of 6 for a friend’s birthday because he had requested steak. None of us could believe that a 24-​oz. boneless ribeye steak would only cost $ 27, so we had to give it a try.
The restaurant is relatively casual, but still has a romantic feel to it. They offer several different cuts, but the ribeye is by far the best deal. I’m glad I had someone to share it with because there is no way I’d be able to finish 1.5 lbs of meat! My boyfriend and I ordered clam chowders and the ribeye. The clam chowder was decent, but came with croutons instead of oyster crackers (not sure how I felt about that). The ribeye was definitely the star of the show. Ours came out on the rare side, but our server had it fixed right away. It was really delicious – the meat was amazingly tender and juicy. It could have used a little more seasoning, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it.
Then, the birthday boy was presented with a free house-​made cannoli covered with chocolate chips, which was pretty tasty. Overall, we had a great experience, and we had a wonderful server. I wish this restaurant existed in Dallas because we’d be there all the time!

I made a reservation for 11÷14÷15 to celebrate our 5 yr anniversary. We arrived early and were seated at a booth in the bar. I recommend sitting in the bar area b/​c they have a fantastic happy hour.
We started w/​the shrimp cocktail– $ 7.99– you receive 3 and they are huge!
They give you a small loaf of a bread– ours was soaked in butter or oil and cold but we ate it as we were famished after a long day of travel. I asked if it was possible to get one w/​o the oil or butter and our server said no as it is baked that way.
I had a glass of Catena Alamos Malbec $ 5.55 and my boyfriend ordered 2 Bass Ale– $ 5.55 each.
I enjoyed their Chicken Prosciutto– $ 17.99 w/​o the cheese sauce and a side of marinara.
My boyfriend enjoyed his 24 oz Delmonico steak– $ 25.99 and added a side of hot peppers– $ 3.99. DAMN– those peppers were HOT! He enjoyed his steak and I had a piece and agreed that it was cooked perfectly. He said he was unsure if he would order it again as they have a pretty extensive menu.
I docked a star b/​c when I called to make the reservation, I was asked if we were celebrating anything– I told the lady yes, our anniversary and she said okay. They didn’t acknowledge it so I let it go but when we returned later in the week, I asked a manager and was given an excuse of them probably being busy. I informed him of the time we were there and that the restaurant wasn’t busy he just replied sorry. So, be forewarned that if you are there for a celebration, make sure your server knows. It would have been the perfect end to our anniversary dinner.

This was my second meal at Delmonico’s and both experiences were great… this one even more so than the 1^st. We were there to celebrate my husbands birthday so of course I made a request for any embarrassing birthday songs or dances to be performed. Our waitress was fun, and accommodating but assured us that they do not do any birthday shananigans. (Although she fibbed in order to throw him off and surprise him later on at the end of our meal) :) Our party of four enjoyed our meals and drinks thoroughly. The prices are reasonable and portions are huge!
After our plates were cleared, we were blown away by 4 waitresses doing a birthday song and presenting a cannoli which was followed by them taking a picture of our group, printing it, AND matting two free copies of it in a nice take-​home frame for both parties! Way to go Delmonico’s! :) I will say that the cannoli was the only low point and tasted frozen however, it did not effect our experience and we will definitely be back.

Ok the experience starts at the door. The hostesses are dressed like 40’s gangsters. The theme of the restaurant is similar to a 70s Era Sinatra style eatery.
As a party of 9 we are set very quickly. We were set in the Italian wannabe room, see attached pic… all drawings of actors who played Italian roles yet we not… kinda cool.
I order the Beef medallion gorgonzola Alfredo it was phenomenal flavor and very filling (see pic). I also. posted pics I found some other meals our table ordered.
Food great, experience great… very nice indeed.
