DCL is the 21^st Century approach to Caricatures for parties, corporate events, trade shows, conventions, weddings and bar/​bat mitzvahs. We travel around the country drawing these magnificent screens to create a wonderfully new art experience. All drawings are done on a screen, printed and then made available for free on our website, with options for printing as well. If you are looking for something unique, and exciting for your next high end event or convention look no further. We are based out of Orlando, Fl but have artists all over the country!

History

Established in 2004.

DCL was started out of a traditional caricature company that originated in 1998 by Ryan Rhoads, a veteran product designer and fine artist. As a response to the growing demand for digital caricatures, Ryan started exploring the possibility of transitioning the business over to digital and utilizing his the same tools and programs he used to design boats and consumer goods, into this new form of art entertainment. Armed with skills as a designer with a BFA in Design from Carnegie Mellon University, and having worked in corporate life for 10 years, Ryan felt very comfortable working with the technology and the culture. Ryan is at home working with large companies to further brand their business through logo placement as he personally designs borders to fit each culture. Since 2004, DCL has performed live for companies and high end events from San Diego and Las vegas to St. Maarten and Miami! Now, as the business has grown each year, DCL provides professional artists around the country

Ryan, a seasoned boat designer and artist is one of the most personable, professional and talented Digital Caricature Artists in the country. He has been drawing caricatures since 1993 and started out at a small amusement park in Pennsylvania and drawing at the «Jersey Shore» to pay his way through design school. Upon graduating Ryan worked for various consulting firms all the while developing essential personal and professional skills that would later come together to make what DCL is today. Ryan found a passion in boat design also and worked for the top brands in the world designing the most attractive vessels on the water all the while using the same techniques and technology he uses today in each digital caricature. Ryan enjoys pushing the technology to further create artwork that is accurate, flattering and exciting, «drawing out the best in people»… making his style very attractive to the guest being drawn.
