Our last experience with La Villa was awful. We ordered delivery. What was presented as a 30 min wait, ended up as a 2 hour ordeal. When we called an hour after the order to see what the status was, we were told«he’ll be there in seconds» and was hung up on. A similar interaction happened on the second call when we were reaching the two hour mark, this time a rude woman who should not be interacting with customers. Our wings arrived cold, but the two liter was icy cold. There were two instances where visiting La Villa was a great experience, but lately, customers have taken a back seat, and quality along with friendliness have been lost. I refuse to support any establishment that runs this way. I hope for their sake that they change, if it is a family run pizzeria.

Went to La Villa couple of days ago and still can’t get over how colossal the calzone that I ordered was… We ordered couple of pasta dishes, large calzone(which I would recommend to stick to the small one unless you are sharing with at least 2 people), and deserts. Everything was either very good(cheesecake I would say was very good) or great(everything else). Portions were HUGE. Even being used to oversized restaurant portions I was still pretty shocked. The leftovers lasted us another two meals… Pasta was great ! Calzone… so soooooooo good — it had some amazing cheese mixture that I loved. Cannoli was great — would definitely recommend to save space for it after dinner. Service was very pleasant and nice :) would definitely recommend the place!

I wanted to like this place, I really did. They replaced a pretty horrible pizza joint, and when I read it was family owned and everything made fresh, my hopes were high. We’ve ordered takeout twice from them now, I don’t think I’ll repeat. The portion sizes are rather underwhelming. The ravioli came with four(4) normal size raviolis, very little food for $ 9. My wife’s manicotti, which isn’t far from the same thing and about the same price, had considerably more food. The«Homemade Mozzarella Sticks» seemed pretty much like every other places mozz sticks, except they were overcooked giving them a slight burnt taste, and most of the cheese had exploded out of the breading so we had a big gloppy mess in the container. The marinara sauce was a bit bland, tasting more like a very simple tomato sauce. The last time I was in, I had to wait almost a half an hour for my takeout food, which the waitress explained to me was because they’d just received two takeout orders. The place was literally empty. Two orders backed them up? Like I said, I wanted to love this place, but I just can’t.

I tried«LaVilla’s» White Garlic Pizza with spinach and was glad I did. While a trifle pricey, the quality of the three cheeses used in making up the pie is not found in the typical $ 5 – 10 pizza parlor. I also tried LaVilla’s home-made Tiramisu. Out of this world! Many other items on their large menu still to try. Hard place to lose weight if your trying to. Would I enthusiastically reccommend LaVilla to my friends & neighbors? Yes, without a doubt. You will not be disappointed.

My wife and I are very particular as far as Italian restaurants go(if you want proof check out some of my previous reviews). So when my sister invited me to a new restaurant I was willing to give it a shot, with my normal reservations toward Italian restaurants in full swing. We started off with an order of cheese fingers and chicken wings. Unlike some other places they had beer battered their cheese fingers and the cheese tasted great, but the wings were something else. Their house special wings are unique and something worthwhile to order. Normally I wouldn’t get wings at an Italian restaurant, but I would make an exception here. Putting aside the tasty appetizers, I order their chicken parmigiana and was pleasantly surprised to find another Italian restaurant understand that tomato sauce isn’t something to be bought in a can from a food service company. The sauce had flavor, with actual spices you could taste. It wasn’t some homogeneous red fluid that would have been at home in a Slurpee machine. No, this was sauce and dammit it was good. The pasta and chicken were also cooked perfectly, not under or over cooked and that complemented great sauce. A real additional treat was their melt in your mouth garlic knots. These airy, buttery rolls, were light and had just enough garlic to add that extra little bite. Trust me, you’ll want these things more than crack and may just do the same things to get them. Just don’t tell the police I said you should. Overall, La Villa is an excellent addition to the area and I recommend you go there and have yourself a great meal.

We first sampled food from La Villa this past week at a wine tasting at the nearby liquor store. They were offering samples of their baked ziti and garlic knots. While their baked ziti was just«pretty good», the garlic knots they had were fantastic. So, we grabbed a menu and vowed to order a pizza this weekend. Friday night — time for some pizza and, of course, those awesome garlic knots. The prices on the pizza are pretty reasonable if you just get cheese or maybe one topping. Their specialty pizzas, however, are a little pricey. Julie, the girl answering the phones was nice enough — despite the connection being bad and it taking me three calls to place the order completely. She said it would be about 45 minutes until we received our pizza — roughly the same amount of time most other delivery places in the area take — even those a little further away, dealing with more traffic. Oh well, whatever. 45 minutes come and go. An hour comes, and the delivery driver calls asking for directions. He was very polite. Another twenty minutes later, he finally shows up. We dig in. The pizza is pretty«meh». Very salty, but without much other flavor. That’s ok, though — we still had their garlic knots. My wife bit into hers and complained that it was lacking in garlic flavor. I looked. Indeed, she was correct — the bread was fresh baked, but had absolutely no trace of olive oil, herbs or garlic. I don’t mean that there wasn’t enough — I mean, there wasn’t ANY. I called the restaurant, but by my mistake ended up calling the delivery driver(I hadn’t realized he called from his cell phone and just redialed the last number in my phone). I explained to the driver about the garlic knots and he said he was going to talk to his manager and either return with a new order, or with a refund. A few minutes later, he calls back with the response from his manager. Their story is that they brush the oil, garlic and herbs on before they go into the oven, so they shouldn’t be wet with garlic or oil. OK, that’s fine — but there was NO taste of garlic or herbs anywhere in these. These were basically just dinner rolls. Had we not sampled their garlic knots just two days ago, I might have accepted this. I guess they just give out the samples of the good stuff and then make you pay for crap. If not for the pleasantness of the girl on the phone and the delivery driver, I would have gone with one star.
