Cheap and rude. Horrible job. i asked the lady to fix a spot she missed. She blamed it on me and said I bumped into something.

I have been going to Maxim Nail Salon now for over 6 years. I normally work with Helen. She is friendly, attentive and always does a great job. If you want a place to get exceptional service and relaxing atmosphere. This is the place. Ask for Helen.

I’ve been a loyal customer here for almost a year now and I’ve always had exceptional service until my last visit. Thomas gave me a pedi and gel mani and he was awesome! This isn’t a complaint in regards to his service but this is the first time my GEL nails had chips or completely started to peel off after 4 days. Literally 4 days. I don’t pay extra for gel so my nails can look horrible and chipped after less than a week.
I’ve been coming here almost every 2 – 3 weeks for a year and this has never been an issue so I called ahead of time to let them know the issue and the guy on the phone was not helpful at all, had an attitude even when I explained to him I was a returning customer and I wasn’t trying to complain but after 4 days for an entire gel lining to peel off perfectly. that’s a problem, and he has stated they normally only fix nails after 3 days of damage but that I could come in and he could take a look and judge if they could fix my nails… id rather not drive almost 20 min out of my way for someone «to take a look and see if they can fix my nails» very unprofessional. Will prob return eventually but I’ve heard good things about Rianas nails and will be trying there tomorrow

Discovered this spot when I moved to the Orlando area about 5 years ago! I took my mom here one time when she was visiting from Tampa and she never likes to go anywhere else. Now, we always get our mani & pedi’s together. Great, clean spot with a kind staff. Never had any complaints or issues!

Worst pedicure I ever received. Poor customer service, crappy attitudes and technician I had couldn’t paint nails to save her life.

Chau is awesome! She’s very sweet and does such a great job! I got a deluxe pedicure and gel manicure and she made me feel brand new! The massage chairs are new and are strong, she gave me a great leg massage with a sea salt scrub and with lotion. Definitely come here to feel pampered!

Super clean place AND they fixed my nails that another salon destroyed. Also love that the chairs are high.

I’ve been getting manis & pedis here for a few years. This past time (last week) was awful. The nail tech (a male, not Lu the owner — another guy) cut one of my toes and my heel. My heel still hurts days later. Polish is fine on my toes. For the mani, I got gel polish and he was very sloppy. It was all over my fingers and is bubbly in places. He was in a big rush for some reason. I didn’t complain — I just wanted to get out of there. Never again.

I really enjoyed Lu. He made sure my nails were perfect. I wish I hadn’t been in such a hurry for a business dinner, or I would have stayed longer & enjoyed my time with him. I only got my nails painted, but for the limited service I received, it was very enjoyable.

Tee is amazing! I’ve gone to others and they are just ehh, I get a regular manicure and it lasted me a week. The massage is fantastic. I would recommend her any time!

If you are looking for a salon to pamper yourself and feel beautiful look no further than Maxim Nails Day Spa at Waterford. I have tried so many other nail salons in the area and this is by far the best. They offer everything here. Nails… pedicures, massage, permanent makeup (Vivian is the best!!!) and so much more. Everyone is professional, friendly and experts at what they do. They always go out of their way to make sure to give you an exceptional experience every time. I would never go anywhere else!!! Don’t bother getting the regular pedicure. I’m all about the massage and while it was good, it was far too short. I feel like the deluxe would be way better, but it’s $ 10 more.

Poor customer service from the general manager that sits at the front desk most of the time.
My friend and I got a mani and pedi here. The lady who helped her kept repeatedly asking her if she wanted callus remover after saying no about 6 times she provided poor, poor, poor service from there on. The entire experience was hostile and uncomfortable. Her nails were not painted professionally at all and she seemed annoyed when we asked to get them repainted. The lady who did mine had to rush because the other lady wanted to get done. She ran out the door after painting them and didn’t wait to see if they were ok — didn’t even ask.
The worst part of this whole experience is when she went back the next day with me, my friend asked for a refund because her 3 of her toes had chipped. The manager said no that she can’t give refunds but she will have someone else do them tomorrow when my friend had time to get them done and she will give her the Gel polish for free. She made my friend walk up to the employee and physically point her out. Unprofessional. When she came back in the manager wasn’t there and no one knew anything about it. They said they would have to calm the manager and proceeded to get her nails redone. They couldn’t get a hold of the manager and said they would have to charge her $ 15 to get the Gel.
1) The manager lied
2) They employ careless employees
3) Unprofessional
I will not be going back there again.

DO NOT GET YOUR NAILS DONE HERE! Worst mani pedi I have ever experienced. My nails seriously look like I painted them with my toes… I wish I were kidding. I am not the type to complain or cause a scene, I alway remain completely polite. When I politely expressed how awful it looked the nail tech then just went over the already uneven sloppy job making them look no better than how she left it the first time. When «finished» the nail tech ran out the door as if she was in a hurry to leave, I was her last client. Seems to me she was done for the day and she wanted to «get me over with». If it wasn’t for dinner plans I had previously made with a friend I would have demanded they get completely redone. I will not be returning and don’t suggest you do either. WORST MANI EVER!

Thought it was great. I needed a full set at the last minute. Having just moved to the area I found this place online and read reviews.
Walked in and was taken within 10 minutes or so. My tech did a nice job, was careful, and pleasant.
The place is beautiful, but it would have been nice to have been offered a beverage or something.

I’ve been coming to Maxim for over a decade. Lynn is one of the best nail techs there. I try to get her each time.
I like the two separate areas for pedicures and manicures. Much more relaxing and quiet than other salons when getting a relaxing pedicure.
Three stars for salon and five for Lynn!

This place has the best service and is so relaxing. I have never had such a meticulous pedicure. These nail techs are top notch. The facility is immaculate and I love that it’s located in the Waterford shopping area.

Worst mani/​pedi ever.
My friend was getting married on Saturday, so a bunch of us girls went to go get our nails done the day before. This place had plenty of pedicure chairs for all of us and was near the Bride’s house, so we met there for what we hoped would be pre-​wedding pampering. What we got was terrible service and ugly nails that we overpaid for.
First of all, the nicest polish they carry is OPI, and don’t expect a huge variety of colors. It also looks like they may dilute the polish because it chipped
nails were chipping shortly after they dried. I believe it also prevented them from drying quickly (read further for the smudging problem). After reading other reviews on Unilocal about bubbling in the polish, I’m convinced that I’m right about them watering it down to make it last longer. They have some other brand of nail polish that I’ve never heard of, but it looks like a 99 cent store brand.
They have varying prices for pedicures based on different add-​ons. I got the pedicure that was like $ 10 more than their basic one. I didn’t notice any difference from my normal place back in Miami for their basic pedicure (that’s the same price as their basic). Apparently what they added was removing calluses and putting a hot towel over my legs. Honestly, every other basic spa pedicure I’ve had does not charge $ 10 more for that.
Now for the manicure. Quick, rushed, unfriendly, and my nails looked awful. There was no care taken. Almost all of the girls had smudges on their nails and everyone working there was reluctant to fix their mistakes. I was rushed so quickly out and not given much help with my purse in order not to smudge my nails. I ended up looking down at my hand when I got in my car to see two of my nails completely smudged with the polish. I would’ve gone back inside, but everyone was on a tight schedule to get to their hotels and the rehearsal later that night. I ended up going to Walgreens and buying nail polish remover and some Essie polish and doing my nails all over again myself… and they looked much better.
The only thing they had that I haven’t seen at other salons that I thought was a nice touch were the massage chairs. They do chair massages near the pedicure chairs. I didn’t have one though, so I can’t speak to how good they were or if they were worth the extra expense… I didn’t plan on giving this place anymore of my money. I never say this, but I actually regret giving a standard tip to the woman doing my nails. It was not deserved, and I felt totally ripped off.
