I have been a customer since the early days in original location across the street.
Over multiple repeat transactions experiences were nothing but positive. John (owner) was always helpful and courteous. I was always satisfied with end result.
My final experience was a NIGHTMARE!!!
I brought in 2 items to be customized. 1 was a previous item to be enhanced, the other an original. I was given some story about an equipment issue temporarily preventing processing my order. No resolution date could be promised. I clearly stated that this would not be a problem as (based on previous experience) I was willing to wait until supposed repair of equipment. I waited about a month before I reached out for status update. Was told they were still «waiting for a part». Stopped by the new (3^rd) location in their little beer and wine bar next door after another month or so. Was told there was no record of my transaction!!!
The snippy little employee was no help and apparently the owners could not be reached.
John now works at a remote production facility. Furthermore, my items could not be located.
Now it really gets BIZARRE!
I was now being told (by text) that after 3 months the items had been «donated» .
After my threatening to call the police, back and forth contact between the owners and employee, my second item mysteriously was «found» ! No trace of my first item. This could NEVER be replaced as it had embroidery on the front and is no longer available.
All of this is really a classic tragedy. Open 1 successful business, let ego run wild, expand in to a second, and the first suffers and falters.
Congratulations! Poor customer service, lies, deceit, possible theft of goods has transformed a 100% satisfied repeat customer into 100% «NEVER AGAIN», «NEVER RECOMMEND», «BEWARE» completely dissatisfied ex-​customer.
P. S. I have since learned that owner John is divorced from the business and his partner wife (who was always a little bitchy). This probably explains the decline.

I had a terrible experience here and I will never be coming back. I don’t know what happened to this place! This review is about 2 separate orders.
The first order I used the online order service and I was using a Groupon. It was super easy to use online. Turns out the shirt I selected was an upgrade charge, which was fine. So, they asked me to call in with the credit card number before they started making their shirt. No problem! While I’m on the phone with them, I ask them how red color will look on a black shirt (because I didn’t think it would turn out good). The employee assured me that the red would look vibrant, just like the image on the online ordering screen. But when I picked up the shirt a few days later, it was basically brown and looked like CRAP. So there’s that.
The second order we used the online ordering system and it worked great. But once we submitted it we realized we wanted a different color shirt and style so we emailed them right away to ask for a different shirt. They emailed us back letting us know it was a $ 5 up charge per shirt and we said it was fine, to please continue with the new shirt/​style. Couple days later I get a text to pick them up and I do just that only to find they are the wrong shirt/​color. The employee argued with me for 15 minutes that it basically wasn’t their fault even though we were BOTH looking at the email thread where it clearly said to process the upgrade. So, finally the employee went to write down the new order and wrote the WRONG STYLE NUMBER AGAIN. Really? Try to get it right this time. After showing her the style number and color in the email thread, she asked when I needed them. I let her know as soon as possible because we had already been waiting a week. I suggested Thursday/​Friday. Then she told me the only day they could do is Monday. Then why are you asking me?
So, Thursday comes around and we get a text saying the shirts are ready. AWESOME! Couple days early! Way to shape up that customer service. I go to pick them up and THEY ARE THE OLD SHIRTS. The MANAGER (whom is wearing sunglasses the ENTIRE time she’s talking to me) tells me that she does all the texting for Mother Falcon and she didn’t send us a text saying the shirts were ready. OH REALLY? Now I’m lying? Then she proceeds to tell me why the order was messed up, which was essentially her blaming it on us for why the order got messed up. JUST TAKE RESPONSIBILITY THAT YOU MESSED UP AND FIX IT.
Can’t believe how I was treated here. I will not be coming here again.

Friendly staff and decent selection of custom prints and art.
I’m certainly curious to visit when they’re having another art event!

We have had 2 negative experiences with Mother Falcon over the past 6 months. The communication was horrible, you cant get ahold of them as no one answers the phone and both times our t-​shirts were not ready when they were promised.

Used Mother Falcon’s online ordering system, it was flawless! I uploaded the graphic, added some text and received a prompt confirmation email saying I’d receive a text when my order was ready. I did!
Order was ready quickly and a quick swing by the shop on Washington, downtown– & we were ready to go! The super friendly staff had me check my order over, to be sure I was happy with everything. I was! Thanks Mother Falcon!

On July 26^th I ordered 8 black shirts of assorted styles (I provided my own infant shirts) and my own artwork. I told them I wasn’t in a hurry but would need them by August 19^th. On the 12^th of August I called to see if they were done as I would be in the neighborhood. At that time I was informed the black printer was down and they would text me when the shirts were done. I waited until the following Monday, the date the shirts were due, and contacted them when I still hadn’t received the text.
At this time I was informed the black printer was still not working and received the below reply:
«Hey Helen, unfortunately aren’t ready for pickup just yet, we’ve been having some issues with our dark color shirt printer and it’s currently down for repairs, we should be up and running soon and we’ll be able to get to you shirts done then, we’ll keep you updated and send you a text once they’re all ready for pickup! :)»
On Tuesday I again inquired about my shirts and received this reply:
«Hey Helen, Just wanted to give you an update on your order /​repairs, the repairman got held up with another job and moved his appointment for us until tomorrow morning. I can reorder all your shirts in the color as a backup just in case, in the case we can get the printer going we can print your shirts if not it’s a good idea to have a back up in mind. Let us know what you’d like to do. Thanks so much for your patience, we sincerely apologize for the delay!
I wrote back and said, „Please order all the adult shirts in light blue just in case. Definitely want all the shirts the same color so let me know if any style adjustments are necessary. I will supply the toddler tee and onesie.“
I received this response on Wednesday:
„Hi Helen, I went ahead and ordered the shirts you had in light blue as of this morning our dark color printer is still down for repairs right now. You are welcome to drop off the onesies at your earliest convenience and we’ll try to have them all ready for you today! Thank you for your patience and we deeply apologize for the inconvenience. — MF“
At this time I asked if they were going to print the light blue shirts now and provide black ones at no charge after my vacation. The response was:
Hi Helen, sorry for the misunderstanding, we have both the blue shirts and black shirts set aside for your order just in case. Is Friday the latest you would need the shirts by? if we are able to get our printer back up before friday we’ll go ahead and print out your shirts in black first thing asap, if not the only choice would be to have the shirts printed on a lighter color (the light blue color you chose) either way, let me know. Thanks so much for your patience! Thank you, MF :)
I said, Okay. I’ll have my son in law drop the blue baby shirts off tomorrow so you have them just in case. But keep our fingers crossed for black.» On Wednesday afternoon I had the light blue infant shirts dropped off, still hoping for black.
On Friday morning, the day I was leaving town, I received a text that my shirts were done. Unbelievably, I had eight printed shirts in FOUR different colors! Three aqua, one teal, one purple, and of course the two I provided were light blue. I accepted the order but expressed my disappointment. After four weeks, multiple emails and phone calls NOTHING was correct. Even the artwork I provided was pixelated and not sharp.
Other than some lukewarm apologies the customer service throughout the process was nonexistent, with absolutely no proactive contact or sincere appreciation for the inconvenience and disappointment they put us through, including no offer to at least try to make it right for us. We will never use Mother Falcon again and could not, in good conscience, recommend them to anyone else.

I absolutely love this place! If you have any idea for designing t-​shirts with custom graphics this is the place to go.
I have created countless custom t-​shirts here. What I will tell you is to do ALL of your business in person at the store. I have designed every shirt at the counter with the employee using the business Apple iMac. I have always examined the end result and made the necessary tweaks before placing my order and paying. I also pick out my «American Apparel» t-​shirts directly from the rack in the store. I have also designed a shirt in the morning and picked up the finished products after lunch.
Every custom t-​shirt I have purchased there over the last couple years is still hanging in my closet. The silk-​screened graphics have stood up to countless wash cycles and actually I am wearing one as I type this review.
They have a frequent shopper card so make sure you get one and have it stamped if you intend to return for future orders. The business also rewards customers for repeat business. I usually purchase 10 or more shirts for group outings so I have always been given a better rate per shirt.
When seeking custom t-​shirts is your quest, Mother Falcon is the best!

I called Mother Falcon on Saturday morning and inquired if they would be able to print a simple t-​shirt for me before end of day Sunday. They said, «Absolutely» and I submited my art (in a print ready vector format exactly as the website recommended) using their online form on Saturday at 1:30. I called about 3 hours later to ask if they had received my file because I never heard from anyone there, and the woman who answered the phone said «I’m sure we have it, but give me your name and phone number and we’ll text you when it’s complete.» I knew they were very busy with the holidays, but when I did not hear back from them by 3:30 pm on Sunday — more than 24 hours after I submitted my order — I stopped in to see if they could quickly finish the project. The woman working the front desk said that it was in queue and that I shouldn’t have bothered to come down but rather waited for them to text me. The man who seemed to be running the place said that he would be working until midnight trying to get all the orders done, and that I just needed to wait for the text. I asked them if they could estimate how long it would take so I could at least set expectations with the person for whom the t-​shirt was supposed to be a Christmas gift for, but they refused to give me any kind of answer. I’m sorry, but I work in design, and I can estimate how long a project will take and then determine how many projects are in queue to give an approximate time frame for delivery of goods. These people were not only uncooperative, but also indifferent and uncaring about their customers’ needs. I left asking them to keep it in queue then since they swore it would be finished on Sunday. I never received a text or a call from them on Sunday. Today, I called to find out the status of the shirt, and they again refused to give me any more information other than it was «in queue.» I have heard many, many stories from people who’ve said that the employees at Mother Falcon were rude and snobby, but I didn’t believe it until I experienced it myself. I pulled my job from their queue and went to Big Frog on ¹⁷⁄₉₂ in Winter Park instead. They were not only friendly, but they were also able to print my t-​shirt in less than 10 minutes at a fraction of the prince it would have cost at Mother Falcon. They may not have the capability to print white ink on black shirts, but if you’re willing to compromise on this part, they deserve the highest rating possible, especially after the horrible experience MF provided.
Advice for MF: Setting expectations with your customers should be as high on your priority list as providing a quality product. A simple phone call or honest response on any one of my many phone calls to MF to tell me that it wouldn’t be ready by the date promised would have gone a very long way towards improving this customer’s experience.

The blonde girl at the desk (although hot) seemed bothered to ask me if I needed assistance. The male owner booted her off the computer soon after to complete a simple change to my graphic which came out decent. After wearing the shirt once, the graphic is peeling off (not that it was high quality to begin with). Now I’m left with a shirt that should never be worn anywhere but to the gym or to my impending suicide. Thirty bucks down the drain. So it goes.

I sadly had an unpleasant experience today. I had a shirt made for my husband’s birthday. On the Mother Falcon website it has the option to (kind of) design the shirt. You upload a picture, pick what kind of shirt you want/​color and then write in a text box. So, I did this and sent an email. I then called and spoke to someone and they re-​asked the questions that were on the website, but didn’t ask anything about the design. Usually print shops will send you a proof and have you approve it or have an online system where you can design it yourself. This did not occur.
I thought that the price was reasonable, $ 30 for the shirt with your own personal design. I also thought that it was nice that it would be done in one day.
I went to pick up the shirt and they had already charged my card, which I agreed to. She gave me a black bag and said here you go, sign the slip. She didn’t ask if it was what I wanted or if I liked it, etc. I opened it up and it was not what I had expected. I sent a small picture and a quote. They had blown the picture way up. Remember the Biggie Smalls or Tupac shirts in the 90s? It looked like that, except with a picture of my 7 month old on it. It just didn’t look right.
When I asked how much they would charge me to re-​do it, the woman became very annoyed with me. She stated, «That is why we don’t always do phone orders.»
If they don’t do phone orders, why is that the first thing on the website it says to do? I will take responsibility for not being exactly clear with what I wanted. However, usually businesses would care about asking their customer: 1) If they are happy with the product, which did not seem of big concern to her and 2) If someone doesn’t like it, you would think that they would at least try to be polite about it. I get that she didn’t want to eat the cost, but there was no reason to get shitty with me.
I just took the shirt and said I wouldn’t have her make another one. Honestly, I didn’t want to come back and deal with her the next day. I wish I had just told her to keep the shirt and have her give me my money back. But, I was so irritated I wanted to get out of the store. Now I have wasted 30 bucks and a chunk of my Saturday and I don’t have a present for my husband’s birthday. Ugg.

The owner read my review and contacted me, which is below. I think it is very nice that she wanted to correct the situation. So I have gone from two stars to three.

I read your review on Unilocal. I just wanted to clarify that I was not annoyed and I would have gladly remade your shirt. The only reason I was apprehensive was because I knew that was our last medium black AA shirt. In addition, we were slammed today (which you may have noticed) because of the Paws in the Park event. We are happy to 1) remake the shirt, or 2) if the shirt is returned refund your money. If is not customary to send a mock-​up for single shirt orders and it is only done by special request. The graphic was 10 inches wide which in the t-​shirt world is the standard width. Let us know how you would like to resolve. :)

I had the pleasure to shop at Mother Falcon through a Groupon deal and I’m so happy I did! The staff is very friendly, informative and patient. I’m a very indecisive shopper and especially in a case where you can create your own design to print on T shirts, hoodies, whatever it maybe, you can see where that would be a problem. The man helping me though never became frustrated or anything, but just helped me make the perfect design. My hoodie was available for pick up the next day and I was so very happy with the finished product!

Purchased Groupons as a family creative day outing /​birthday gift for my son. It did not go well at all.
We attempted to redeem our Groupons on 12÷28÷11. They were closed. It is a 2 hour drive ONE way to Mother Falcon. The only holiday hours posted on their website were for Christmas week. Nothing indicated they would be closed before the New Year. Granted, I should have, could have called and saved myself a trip. I’ll chalk that one up to my bad…
However, the bad experience didn’t stop there, it was just beginning…
We arrived on 1÷7÷12 a Saturday at 4:30pm. We called ahead of time to make sure they were open. My girlfriend advised them that we were 2 hours away and wanted to make sure we had enough time to make our shirts. At NO point were we told we would not have enough time. Person on the phone was very dry and short. She was also that way in person.
I had picked out a design of a local artist. You can have the month’s featured artist’s work printed and redeemable for the Groupon. Anything displayed in the store was the featured artist (s). I found a neat painting propped up against the wall where other art was displayed. I was promptly told that was last month’s feature and would not be able to have it printed. Why the hell is it still displayed in the store?
My girlfriend had a picture that she wanted printed. For whatever reason they do not have the ability to scan pictures? Fine, they warn you that they can’t scan on their website. But it’s more like they can’t be bothered. She «attempted» to search the picture on the internet and claimed she couldn’t find it. We had the artist’s name and name of the magazine available for her !! I googled it at home while writing this review and received 27,000 results in 0.18 seconds, the picture in question is THE FIRST one to pop up. So much for their «Design Assistance»…
We were then told it takes 45 minutes to print 1 shirt and they would not be able to print all 3. We would have to pick up tomorrow. Totally not feasible with such a long drive ahead of us. We weren’t told this over the phone. In addition, their website advertises shirts printed in as little as 20 minutes !
I was able to get at least my son’s shirt done since it was his birthday gift.
We were rushed to get his design put together and were told they would text us when the shirt was ready. We arrived back at the store at about 5:45pm, his shirt had not been printed yet. As we waited 2 shirts were printed !! There was no one in store waiting on those shirts. Someone came in to pick up but they did not pick up either of the shirts that had just been printed. In 10 minutes. literally 10 minutes as we were standing there, my son’s shirt was printed. We weren’t given any care instructions. My girlfriend overheard when the other young lady picked up her shirt, that you should wait 24 hours before wearing /​washing it.
I guess my little family was not «hip» or «cool» enough for the Mother Falcon staff to be bothered with us. The store lies in a more artistic neighborhood of Orlando, dotted with bars and outdoor seating cafes. Mother Falcon itself has a bar right next door to the shirt store. So I guess they must be used to or prefer to cater to
that kind of crowd.
What a shame, it seemed like such a cool creative outlet.
I requested a refund from Groupon for the remaining 2 Groupons that I most assuredly WILL NOT be redeeming.
Fail Mother Falcon … your lack of interest in trying to work with us was pretty shitty indeed.

Terrific spot to display your creativity on apparel. It seems like a fun place to go with friends, and apparently a great place to get team shirts as well.

I should probably feel bad for living in Dallas, but getting my shirts made in Orlando, but I don’t. This place is the best, and I am so jealous of my best friend who lives in Orlando and gets shirts from them all the time. They can do just about anything to a t-​shirt, have a great selection of things for inspiration and its just a fun place to hang out. I can’t wait for our next «theme shirt» need, just so Sarah can go and get them to work their magic.

Love Mother Falcon staff and their work! I have seen the shirts they have done for friends with whatever ideas their brains created, but I needed shirts made for my team at work. I thought, they are fast, I need a quick turnaround, and they do good quality work. So the decision was made, went with Mother Falcon.
Took less than 24 hours to place a big order, get proof, have them made, and then picked up.
I just need to find that next creative idea for a shirt. If you have it I will buy you and I shirt with the idea :) Def recommend this place for shirts!

This is the place to go for screen printing and custom t-​shirts. You can have pretty much any design (save for copyrighted images/​logos, etc.) of your choice put onto an American Apparel t-​shirt or any other article of clothing in the store in only a few moments. The process is fast, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the shop is in a convenient location.
Be sure to check this place out for custom t-​shirts come NBA playoff time. The shop comes up with original, hilarious and amazing designs for shirts, usually with themes/​sayings involving Orlando Magic players or their opponents. For example, when the Magic faced the Lakers in the NBA Finals a few years back, Mother Falcon made a shirt for me that had a picture of Pau Gasol on it and the saying «Geico: So easy, Pau Gasol can do it,» or something like that. (You know, because he looks like one of the Geico cavemen.) It wasn’t my own design, nor was it even theirs, but I saw a picture of the shirt on the shop’s Facebook profile and just had to go in & get one for myself.
Haven’t been in for a while due to my budget (though don’t misunderstand that to mean their prices for shirts are expensive; they’re not), but am aiming for a trip when the playoffs begin so I can get a themed shirt or two. If you can’t wait that long, then bring in some of your own images and they’ll put them on some shirts for you. Ask for John and/​or Melissa — they’re the friendly owners. Have fun!

What a great place Mother Falcon is! I went there for the first time the other night for a art show opening and really had a nice time. The staff was friendly and it was super easy to see how to buy a t-​shirt here. All of the art that was being show was available to have printed on a good selection of shirts. The prices were not bad either!
They do personal printing too so if you need something special, they can do it for you. The quality of the shirts as well as the printing is great. I am looking forward to visiting them again and checking out their entire collection!

I really love Mother Falcon and their crew! This is my go-​to spot for unique Magic shirts. I love that they aren’t your typical cookie cutter fan shirts — OR I can design my own!
The staff is always friendly, too! And I love that they sell other accessories — shoes, watches, jewelry, art… really cool stuff!
Their selection of shirts is great — I love the super soft jersey shirts. Or you can bring in your own!

Excellent concept. Ready made shirts in just a few minutes.
What ever you want printed on clothing provided by the store. Wide selection of clothing to choose from as well as prefab designs if you cannot bring in your own. I have had shirts made for me for halloween, personal wear, as well as personalized gifts.
Next I will look into my own personal team gear (just can’t used trademarked logos).
They also carry trendy watches, sneakers, and other accessories. They also mentioned that they do large orders too.
Did I mention the location? They truly picked the best spot for this kind of business.

Ok, MAD Props to MF for comin’ through in the clutch! My friends and I were participating in Relay for Life this past weekend and our team was based on our blog: LadyBallers.
We needed team shirts and the company that were initially went with off of a suggestion before we were aware of MF pretty much failed at life. So, we went with MF who gave us QUALITY work in the matter of 4 days on 10 shirts. We just handed over the design, no questions asked and hit a great deadline!
We are so thankful for having such a dope, local t-​shirt shop who creates great designs and also works with designs you create or want. Big ups!!!
