My Soccer Academy «MSA» is a qualified non-​profit 501©3 organization that encourages children to stay active and teach them how to live a healthy lifestyle, servicing the growing demand for soccer in greater Orlando.

Our motto: Where Everyone Plays and has FUN!

We have 5 different soccer categories:

— U4 (ages between 3 and 4 years old)

— U6 (ages between 5 and 6 years old)

— U8 (ages between 5 and 6 years old)

— U10 (ages between 5 and 6 years old)

— U12 (ages between 5 and 6 years old)

— U14 (ages between 5 and 6 years old)

We are in the process of developing a High Level Soccer Program (competitive) for young adults between 15 to 20 years old.

Our headquarter is in Orlando Florida. Currently, we have different locations: Orlando, Kissimmee, Davenport. In the process of opening: Dr. Phillips, Clermont and Tampa FL.

Our Mission:

We strive to prevent and reverse childhood obesity by motivating young people to be active in their life while building social skills and friendships through playing soccer. To live a healthy lifestyle by teaching them good eating habits and what is good for their bodies.

Our Vision:

By 2020, My Soccer Academy will be recognized as one of the top soccer academies in the region with its own sports complex (International Sports Arena –ISA) that offers the community a place to be physically active and help overcome the epidemic of Childhood Obesity.

It’s All About Helping The Children!

History

Established in 2012.

My Soccer Academy started because of the epidemic our community is facing which is Childhood Obesity and the necessity of having an affordable yet educational and active sport activity for the children.

We did a survey of about 100 families within our local community in Orlando and Kissimmee Florida. And a high percentage of those families had a common issue. They said that it was very expensive to sign up their kids into an extra-​curriculum activity, specially soccer. This is the reason why, we decided to open up the Soccer Academy as a non-​profit organization with the sole purpose of helping our community.

We started with only a few kids and the only soccer equipment we had were old soccer balls and construction cones that a public school let us borrowed when we used to practice at their location. I remembered that it was very small but enough to start.

We didn’t have a lot of things but we had the biggest, which was enough reason to work accomplish our goal of HELPING.

My Soccer Academy is proud to have not only as the Head Coach but as the Director of the soccer academy institution Mr. Nelson Velez.

Born in Medellin Colombia S.A. His passion for soccer started when he was 5 years old, playing soccer in the streets. At the age of 7, our head coach (Nelson Velez) was called to attend an event at the most prestigious football competition in Medellin called: «Baby Soccer» that took placed at the COLISEUM Ivan De Beodut very famous stage at that time. With soccer celebrities from Colombia like: Francisco Maturana, Pablo Alvarez, Abel Alvarez and many others, made​their appearances as coaches.
