I was so sad to see my favorite bar go, but was positive to see what was to come. Unfortunately, Olde 64 is sad. The bartenders are not attentive, even though the bar is empty a lot of the time. Atmosphere is cold and lame. There are arcade games now? I don’t understand. The only way they can get me and other people in there is for free drinks. And to use the potty because of all the stalls. Not sure what they can do now, other than give it back to BBQ bar ;)

So many of the reviews are ex-regulars that are sad to have said goodbye to Olde 64’s predecessor. However, in the past year(ish) that Olde 64 has been established, it has branded itself to be a fun spot with strong and cheap drinks. They run $ 3.50 u-call-it’s Sunday and Wednesday until 11pm. They have live music(local bands — varied genres every week) every Monday and are 18+ then. They also have a comedy night on Tuesdays. The craft beer selection is huge and rotates every week(look for the Florida microbrewery menu and the cider menu on the wall!). They also have a craft cocktail menu for the customers wishing to feel a little extra classy. There’s a $ 2 beer machine in the back, darts, some classic video games to feed your 80’s and 90’s nostalgia and a really great staff that loves to establish new regulars. Free popcorn too!

3.50 you call it’s! Including top shelf! Everything! And then you get your tab and suddenly everything wasn’t 3.50. Watch out for this scam.

They let Terrie go, the most redeeming aspect this place. He was always on the ball, made great recommendations and always made sure my drink was full. I will not be spending my money here anymore.

I am not a huge Downtown bar goer so I had never been the BBQ bar so I have nothing to compare it to. But my friend and i stopped in after a Magic Game one night and came across the very friendly and easy on the eyes bartender Terri. They have great drink specials and a variety of different type of people. If I go downtown this is where I am at. Update: we stopped going there since the only reason we went Terry got fired for stupid reasons. The bar it self is nothing special other then cheap drinks

I went downtown with my dad and we popped into Olde 64. Im not really a bar person but I loved this place. it has a great vibe. Friendly staff, cool décor and it isn’t filled with drunk wild party goers. It has a blended crowd which both my dad and I loved. great place to go have some drinks and chill!

A few friends and I went to the bar last night and had great time, HOWEVER a blonde female bartender made a racist comment saying that all Puerto Ricans and Black people order long islands and refused to give my Puerto rican friend a LIT. When we tried to order from her again she then gave me a «lesson» on how to order properly. She is probably one of the worst service industry«professionals» I’ve ever had to deal with. I suggest letting her go before she brings the bar down, especially since she was in the front bar right as people walked in.

This place is great! I wasn’t sure what to expect as it’s a replacement of Bar-BQ-Bar but it’s still the same great place with an awesome staff, cheap drinks and good vibe! Love it!

Previous to this horrific«remodel» this location was known as BBQ Bar for years and it was a pretty chill place. Now it feels sterile, to the point that I was waiting to be handed some gloves and a spray bottle of bleach on my way in. Zero character, zero atmosphere, and not worth the time. Thankfully you can walk across the street to Lizzy McCormacks and experience a real bar, different from every other waist of retail space on Orange Ave these days.

A sad shell of its former glory. It’s like taking a space shuttle, stripping off all the good parts and selling them at a scrap heap, putting the husk on a supped up Toyota tercel chassis, and rolling it out for a demolition derby.

So how long until this is an empty, closed up building? I’ve been twice now, the last time only to walk through to the other bars. It’s so sad how cheesie and bad this place is in comparison to how awesome and great BBQ was. Sad face.

I have been avoiding Olde 64, just because I suspected it wouldn’t be as good as it’s predecessor. And I was right. It seems like the stripped away everything that was quirky and cool and left a sort of generic space. It is a lot more open, but not in a good way. The«I’ve never seen this place so empty on a Friday night» way. I’m scratching this one off my list of downtown hangouts.

This used to be my favorite hang out any night of the week. The new look is so different and the vibe is too. I haven’t been on a weekend njght yet but after seeing the inside I don’t even think it’s worth it. So sad that it had to come to this. But I guess all good things come to an end? #RIPBBQBAR Things just aren’t the same :(

2 stars because they kept the BBQ staff on. The bar is like every generic bar I’ve ever walked into. It’s very open, but not in a good way. It seems like they didn’t have anything to fill it with. The Touch Tunes is in an awful spot… You can barely stand in front of it to see the selections. Move it to the empty wall to the left when you walk in! The tile looks like I’m standing in a very big bathroom. Not a great choice lol. Drink prices are still okay. Ordered a rum and coke, and it was $ 3.50. Changed to $ 6 after 10pm. This was a Saturday, so not sure of pricing any other night! If you want to go back to Eye Spy(or whatever it is now), make sure you get a plastic cup… You can’t bring any glass back there! I’ll come back because a little bit of BBQ remains with the staff, but otherwise do NOT bother. Nothing special at all.

Devastating. This was my old haunt and with one peep inside I decided hell no. At least spy bar is the same. The place looks insane. The staff are wearing polo shirts.
