My first visit was actually June 2012 and I was disappointed because the lady sold me a fake vintage Dooney & Bourke! You can tell when you look closely at the craftsmanship so I’m the one to blame too. I stepped into this store again yesterday not knowing it’s the same store until I saw the bold out spoken lady and knew exactly where I was. The store is even more cluttered with barely any room to walk and I’m affraid I’ll knock something over and have to pay for it! I found a cute mint green Juicy Couture dress with white poka dots. It says 1450. She kept telling me the retail price was $ 300 and I thought I scored with $ 14.50 and you get 20% off your first item. Well, when it was time to pay she mentioned the $ 300 retail price and how Universal called her to pull ‘beachy 50s outfits’ for a photo shoot and this outfit was one of them. I flipped out when she quoted $ 145.00! Of course I thought it was $ 14.50 and I declined. She said she’ll sell it for half off at $ 70 becasue she would rather sell it to me. I politely declined and started walking out then in front of other customers she yelled«This is a Juicy Coutour originally bought at $ 300 and this store is not a thrift shop». Anyhow, my impression has not changed since June 2012 from the fake handbag when she claimed everythng in her store is ‘authentic’ to overlooking the price simply becasue she did not put a decimal. I can’t help to think I scored it for $ 14.50 when I just came from the store next door! Oh, and the dressing room is in the back room in the corner with asian foldable display walls(which is probably up for sale too) with no door and no privacy. Make sure you have someone stand there to guard. I had two bad experience but the store does seem to have some cool stuff/junk if you’re into that stuff. There’s one rack full of desginers and another rack full of vintage wear. She seems to know exactly how each item ended up in her store but don’t be fooled!

Upon walking in I felt as if I had entered a coven. Besides the woman at the register there were two or three other women sitting around in chairs taking up all the walking area, lawsuit waiting to happen, dangerous. Then our verbal greeting was, «have you been here before? Because we don’t want your child to touch anything.» umm ok. As she said this he reaches for a fisher price vintage school bus(which he owns one of) and she freaks out, «that is vintage!!» and grabs it from him. I said we will just leave and we did. My children are well mannered and have been welcomed in far better antique and vintage stores all around the world. The oldest thing in that store was the owner’s vintage attitude about young people!

Stopped here the other day and it was great! The owner lady was super nice, friendly, and helpful. I think everything on this one block is a bit overpriced but she did have some nice stuff in there if you’re willing to spend more than $ 20 or more. She had jewelry, shoes, hats, clothes, items, framed art, etc. Everything is jammed into this small area so leave the kids at home, make sure your bags are in front of you so you don’t accidentally knock anything over and have to pay for it, and be alert wherever you walk cause it’s like an obstacle course at times. Her store smells nice and neutral, meaning, not like smoke which I liked. Try to pay in cash cause if you charge it, there’s a credit card charge added to either you or her, no bueno either way.
