Established in 2011.

Safeguard A/​C was established by Brian Valavicius, after realizing a need to prevent copper theft. While working as an Acquisition analyst for a Real Estate Investment firm, Brian continued to notice a recurring theme. stolen Air Conditioners. It wasn’t only an issue with residential foreclosures but also with churches, businesses, etc. He quickly started realizing that every property with an air conditioner was a target for thieves, especially vacant ones. One night, while watching a local news story about a church having their a/c’s stolen in broad daylight, he got a call from his property manager saying an air conditioner was stolen at one of his rental houses. That’s when he realized something needed to be done! He began speaking with other property investors, HVAC contractors, insurance agencies and the local police department, and quickly realized that the problem was increasing and wasn’t slowing down.
