Authentic West Indian roti. The boneless chicken hit the spot and so affordable for a HUGE portion. Soooo good! It’s a hidden gem!

My go 2 spot 4 West Indies food. 3 doubles and 3 aloo pies (goat, shrimp, and chick pea w/​potatoes fillings all for under $ 17. My hair stylist njoyed her 1^st ever doubles.

This place is a must try, if you are looking for authentic Trini food this is it. Doubles– fantastic, stew– excellent, roti-​perfect, curry– yummy, service — awesome.
Lots of variety, local (Trini) drinks and priced reasonable!

Twice I found heir in the food and the bartender from New Jersey that work there rip me off I don’t blame the owner of the business its the staff that work there

Originally came to visit a new friend at her new work location & discovered they do Caribbean Food (& Chinese hmm). Unfortunately arrived too late to get a bite so this was a Round 2 visit that worked out Great. Fresh made with best ingredients & served in heaping helpings gotta love it that way. Enjoyed it & recommend if you’re in the area to check it out

Dropped in today and wanted curry chicken roti.
The service was really quick.
Never had chick peas like that before and really enjoyed it. The curry chicken roti was awesome. I only got one to. go order not thinking my husband would enjoy it. But it was enough for both of us, and he loved it. Will def be back.

Had the Doubles and I it! We stopped in after coming Lakeridge Winery! Staff was very friendly and all the food looked great but I was not that hungry just wanted a quick bite and that hit the spot! They will definitely see me Soon!

You can always count on Singh’s Roti shop for consistent tradition west India food. Roti and doubles are my favorite. Oxtail and curry goat is a ‘must try’.

I’ve been to the Singh’s in Queens, NY and the layout of the Orlando restaurant as well as the environment reminds me so much of the one in NY. My mom and I had the doubles with everything on it, including the curry mango. The doubles are amazing! Love the fact that I can feel as though I’m home in Trinidad although I’m far away.

To be honest, I feel like my taste in West Indian food is skewed by my lifetime of eating Haitian food. Although I enjoyed the Roti, I found the rest of the food to fall short. It was lukewarm in both spice and temperature. AGAIN, I am from a different country and have my food preferences. I found the appearance to be lackluster, and presentation to be sub-​par, but the service was lovely! All of my Trini friends love it but as an outsider looking in, I wasn’t impressed.

The best roti in Florida, whether you get the paratha, dhalpourie or sada. In the mornings you can get Trinidadian breakfast foods (mainly vegan), doubles is decent enough for someone who grew up eating doubles everyday it’s about the best you can get here in the Orlando area. The lunch and dinner menu has a wide variety of curry and stewed beef, goat, chicken, duck, shrimp and fish. There’s also some Chinese food on the menu (lo mein, Chinese fried chicken, fried rice, chow mein, shrimp and chicken wontons). The portions are plentiful and the prices are very reasonable and there’s also a full bar that is opened from morning to night daily which is what we Trinis are used to. You can also get many different desserts and local Caribbean drinks.

Recently relocated from New York City to Orlando my wife and I was looking for a great Trinidadian restaurant. After searching online and reading reviews and getting a referral from my mother’s friend we gave it a shot. It takes us about an hour to get there from our house. The drive is well worth it the food is outstanding it’s even better than our usual place in NYC. the only drawback is they do not serve pumpkin after breakfast and they run spinach fast. The doubles and chicken roti was delicious we will be back.

Singh’s Roti Shop was a pretty big disappointment. I was visiting from Toronto, Canada in October 2014 and excited to try it because of all the great reviews. Coming from a city with a large West Indian population, and being Indian myself, I have had my fair share of West Indian dishes (my hubby is also Guyanese/​Trini and had a successful roti shop in Toronto), so I feel I’m coming from a knowledgeable place (or not; not trying to be an authority on West Indian food, just sayin’).
I’ll start with the good and then get to the bad stuff. Firstly, the roti at Singh’s was probably the best part of the meal. We got the saada roti and I’ll say that it was nice, fresh, and fluffy, so I have to say that was pretty good. Secondly, the curry was lacking to say the least. We got the chicken and beef curries and there was a noticeable absence of garam masala, which is a pretty important ingredient when making any type Indian dish. It was super bland and flavour less so, I won’t be recommending the curry to anyone. Also the pepper sauce had zero kick to it.
Lastly, the service was terrible. I got my meal and we were told to have a seat and they would bring my hubby’s meal out. I finished all my food and he was still waiting for his food. I went up to ask the server about his food and was told that it was packed and ready to go as I requested. I mentioned that we never asked for take out and the response was «oh, ok. So you wanna pay now?». I should mention that there was no lack of staff in the place so I didn’t quite understand this screw up.
In conclusion, this was a pretty sad experience. I think the place has a lot of potential but is being handled the wrong way. So sorry to say, but I don’t think I will be visiting Singh’s Roti Shop again.

Love the Doubles. I have the spicy ones, though they are not all that spicy. Have had the Dhall Roti as well and that is also pretty good. Never sat at the restaurant to eat though. Always done take out.

Only game in town with decent west indian food. Been working my way through the menu so far:
Dhal puri goat/​chicken roti — not overly powerful curry. The roti itself is big and very delicious. The goat is smaller chunks. Chicken is good as well
Pelau — Would never try again. I have no idea how or why it tastes the way it does but if you notice no one’s eating it… its not good. Weird falvor.
Doubles — perfect barra. Channa needs more work looks like its just boiled and has no seasoning on it.
PROS: Good selection of food dishes (even the chinese) and snacks. Friendly staff and family friendly atmosphere. Huge roti’s. Great drinks from home.
CONS: Not alot of parking, $ 10 for a roti is entirely too much! Doubles should be $ 1.00. $ 10 credit card minimum is really stupid.
All in all I’d order roti skins from them and have weekend morning doubles there but the actual Trini indian food does need work. Weekends there’s a guy outfront with a van he sells vegetables and fruits.

I went here last night. We walked in and looked at the food through the glass. The food looked super dry. The rice, the top layer was brown meaning it had been there for a while. The food was NOT fresh. Meet curry was very oily. While my parents were talking to another costumer, I saw that there was a cockroach run from one side of the countertop to another, where the food is kept. Im from NY, I go to Orlando all the time. Singhs Roti Shop will NEVER see me again cause this is not the first time this has happened. There setting is nice. They added a bar about a year or two ago. But thats the point of there place is infested and the food is nasty!

This is a nice find off the standard business travel and tourist paths.
Trinidadian roti are a great treat. We had a goat roti and a vegetarian one, plus a spicy pea soup. The staff was friendly in helping us decide how much to order and let us try small samples. Ask them what’s freshest our tastiest at the time of your visit. The slow cooked goat was great. One roti and you’re going to be pretty stuffed at lunch time. These are good for take out too, and you’ll see many people order and take them on the road.
The restaurant is lively — it has a slightly attenuated dancehall vibe because, well, at night it converts to a dancehall. If you’ve ever lived in or near the Caribbean, you’ll recognise the music played all day. On the TVs they had a mix of cricket and football too. In the middle you’ll see a funky chandelier and funky neon lights.
Next time I visit I’ll try some of the Chinese items.

My first time at Singh’s and I ordered Potato with Channa Roti and my husband ordered Beef Curry with Potato. I loved the flavor but it was just too much food. We only needed to order one item and share it. I definitely want to go back and order the Double which will be much more manageable.
I’m from Calif and new to Orlando and to Trinidadian food, so it was my son who highly recommended this place and I’ll definitely return. Loved the Channa.

Went here Sunday arvo, thanks to the Unilocal’s newsletter’s mention and it was awesome! Great music and very helpful servers who explained the food options.
I had the goat curry and it was to die for, barely enough left home for leftovers. Mum had the duck, potato and chickpea plate with roti — the roti was massive and just amazing tasting (not a regular roti, but like a gujarati roti, with ground up yellow dal in the middle). Then my dad took the fish egg curry — again, simply fantastic flavors. We also lucked out as there was a van selling fresh coconut juice in front of the restaurant, and we drank that with our food. Afterwards we could take the empty coconut back to the vendor and he split the coconuts in half, so we could have the soft pulp in side. For dessert we split a coconut barfi sort of thing and it was again, very delish.
We’ll be going back again next weekend, as there are other things we want to try out from the menu and we’ll def sit outside this time — the area in the back over the fish pond and fountain looked very inviting!
