Sprint Store By 5 Star Cellular

If I could give a negative star review I would but this negative review will have to do. Literally the worst experience you could possibly imagine in seeking new cell phone service. We initially came in to inquire about the «cut your bill in half» promotion. At the end of this ordeal I wish they would have cut me in half.
First things first, «cut your bill in half» is a total sham unless you’re interested in upgrading your phone on an annual or biannual basis. You are leasing your phone, just like leasing a car it’s a crappy idea. Wonderful business model for Sprint and all the other providers but rips you off over the long term. Add the numbers up and you’ll see what I mean.
Secondly, after doing first grade math we realized it was a terrible idea and would not save us a dime so we cancelled it the very next day, within the 14 day cancellation period, or so we thought. The first email from Sprint was a welcome to Sprint! Sprint and/​or someone at Five Star went ahead and activated a phone from our current provider and mapped over that number. The bad news is that part of this promotion you must purchase or lease a new phone. Well we, having cancelled and all, had no phones from Sprint. This was a major issue since one of the people on our plan lives over 1,000 miles from us. Third trip into this location since getting info, canceling, and now this, we had to donate another two hours of our lives sorting through mapping it back to our current provider (NOT SPRINT).
Mmk everything is going smoothly, the sun is shining in Florida and we walk out to check our mail in shorts and flip flops in January and we have a lovely «past due bill» from Sprint. Fourth trip to this location. I’m going to extra length not to use their name because they are far from it. Ok bill cancelled and voided it’s all sorted out, again.
Nope. Not just yet. Bill number two from Sprint for our leases on our new phones. Except that we never got new phones or even signed up for Sprint. Pick up the phone to call the manager and he knows me by name now. Seriously knows me by name and says hey I’ll take care of it then call you right back. No call back, shocking I know. Once again visit the store in person to cancel all of this out. I’m a patient man but good freaking lord.
Another month passes and wouldn’t you know it another past due bill from Sprint, this time threatening to send me to collections. Call the 800 number again and go into the store so we can all hold hands together to resolve this one final time. We literally had to keep the 800 customer service on the line while this business cancelled everything out correctly the fourth time.
We also submitted a Better Business Bureau complaint since they’re inability to do their job affected my credit. If this is the type of store Sprint authorizes to build their business I feel sorry for shareholders of Sprint stock.
