Sylvan Learning of Doctor Phillips

I have been an active member of our local Parent Teacher Student Association for years. I have held leadership roles as president, treasurer, and fundraising chair. Because of my involvement, many parents come to me for advice regarding their children’s academic needs. I love to recommend services that have helped my children; unfortunately, Sylvan in Dr. Phillips is not on that list. I have not had a good experience with Sophia Wasu, the owner of Sylvan in Dr. Phillips and Ocoee. She informed me that I would receive a refund of $ 345 for a STEM class registration that I canceled, but after weeks of waiting, she has not mailed the refund yet. I followed her instructions on how to request the refund, so I am not sure why she was so unpleasant about agreeing to issue the refund, claiming the money will come from her personal account. This was my first experience with Sylvan, and as a result, I can not recommend the Sylvan facilities in Dr. Phillips and Ocoee to others.

My son has been going to Sylvan for a few months now and I can tell you it has been money well spent. This school year his teachers have noticed a big change and he is on target to be at the top of the class. He really likes his instructors at Sylvan and clearly their assistance has helped tremendously.

Sylvan learning center helped my son surpass many academic obstacles and has helped him develop a learning style that matches his personality. My son has improved tremendously and I owe it to the center. Sofia and Ranjit are the most caring and professional people I’ve ever met. They truly care about the kids.
