«A Local Delight In Every Bite»

History

Established in 2012.

It has been my life long dream to open an ice cream shop. We took the frozen yogurt self serve concept and cranked it up. Come in and make your own ice cream or frozen yogurt sundae and choose from over 60 different toppings. We also offer locally sourced products — Cape Cod Beer Brittle, Wellfleet Sea Salt, Hole In One Granola, Chatham Preserves to name a few.

Last year we introduced our home made ice cream — made on site in small batches using local ingredients and an Organic base. Non GMO, all natural.

We also make Cape Cod Pops — our homemade ice cream, dipped in dark chocolate and rolled in local goods, such as peanut brittle/sea salt/chocolate granola

Ice Cream Cakes and frozen Cup Cakes are also made on premise and available for special orders.

Fresh fruit smoothies, homemade crepes and locally sourced coffee from The Art of Roasting round out our menu.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Launching The Local Scoop in 2012 was my life long dream! I am a founding member of the Slow Food Cape Cod Convivium, which supports our local farmers & food artisans.

Our mission at The Local Scoop is to provide a fun experience, showcasing amazing tastes, while supporting the local economy. We accomplish this by using the best quality products (organic where we can), sourcing locally and focus our recipe creations on great food pairings. We also showcase /support the local food scene with participation in farmers markets, and using the abundance of what Is in season.
