Bermuda Estates At Ormond Beach

Please do not take my review lightly. I wish someone had warned us before we moved in these apartments. When my boyfriend and I planned on moving in we asked specifically, «have you seen roaches in these apartments?» She looked us in the eye and answered no. We thought she was honest so we moved in. Guess what– our apartment has roaches! Surprise! And not only one or to (we’ve lived here since Nov. ’12) we see roaches DAILY. Huge ones in our bathroom and kitchen, baby ones in the kitchen and dining room, my boyfriend found one in his cereal milk after he had finished eating it. We keep our house clean, we vacuum, scrub, clean, wash dishes. We keep all our food in Tupperware containers and STILL roaches. That’s because theres an infestation. They are in the walls of the buildings here. We’ve given written notices, complained countless times and the only result was them having a bug guy spray– which hasn’t helped since day 1. I actually waitied in my room once while they sprayed and they literally walked in, misted the kitchen floor and left in under 20 seconds. They think its «normal» to have roaches, verbatim. If you value your health and sanity DO NOT live here.
***UPDATE***
After repeated requests (meeting with the manager, bug sprays etc), we were transferred to a 1 bedroom apartment across the complex, and this building is MUCH better. No more roaches, what a relief! Although it was difficult, I’m glad we got to see a different side of Bermuda Estates. It! s night and day from the other side of the complex.

I lived here for 1 year and I loved my apartment. The apartments are spacious and well set up. I had a second floor apartment so it had vaulted ceilings and tons of sunlight.
The community was always very quiet. None of my neighbors ever actually spoke to me though, everyone seemed to just mind their own business, which can be either a plus or a minus depending on your personality.
The pool was nice and always clean and it was convenient to have the small fitness room.
Living behind Walmart made last minute errands super convenient.
