History
Established in 2003.
Chuck & Sharon Podlich have been growing fruit in Orondo ever since they arrived in 1979. Orondo Cider Works was the fulfillment of dream from those early days. Finally in 2003, with all of the children as teenagers, and more people discovering the beauty of Orondo as a getaway, the time was right to start this adventure. We are proud to have. become a community gathering place, a stop for weary travelers, a market for local residents, a tour stop for groups interested in the orchards, and the best local fruit stand and cider mill.
Meet the Business Owner
Chuck P.
Business Owner
Farmer Chuck grew up on the East coast and studied fruit production at several locations before moving to Washington with his sweetheart, Sharon. They became first-generation farmers and now grow many varieties of apples, cherries, and pears. Their four daughters have all helped out on the farm and on the diversification into retail with the establishment of Orondo Cider Works.
