Foothill Boarding & Grooming

The staff was soo nice! When I called to check on my cat, they were so re-​assuring and made me feel comfortable. So glad I chose foothill to board my cat :) She stayed there for about a week. Thanks!

Tucker has stayed here before and we always feel great about the care he gets! He was scheduled to stay for the next three days as my husband I were en route to Tahoe for a meeting (and an extra day away!)…but during the night he seemed to have a stroke. Poor little dog won’t walk, won’t get up and won’t eat. Called Foothill to tell them and explain why he wasn’t coming — they were truly caring, and their spirit for great compassionate care shines through even though Tucker isn’t coming to play this week.

We’ve been boarding our dogs Samantha and Willy with Foothill for a couple of years now when we have to leave them behind when traveling. We know they are well-​looked after, because they are always normal acting when we pick them up. Foothill is exceptionally clean and well-​maintained. Their attention to detail – vacinations, feeding, special requirements – is indicative of how well run the place is. We recommend Foothill to everyone who asks us about dog sitters.

Dropped off our Pebbles and Bam Bam here a few weeks ago, just for 1 night. We stayed at the Gold Country Casino and wanted some peace of mind that our dogs were cared for while we were gambling away our life savings away… I digress.
The process was fairly easy. They require quite a bit of vaccinations, but lucky for us we had all of them ready. We just needed to get them a copy of it.
When we arrived, the place looked nice. It was well kept and cleaned. There was quite a bit of dogs in their respective kennel areas. I’m surprised there are only 2 reviews here with SOO many dogs being housed.
The registration took a bit of time just because it’s our first time there. I’m sure the next time we drop off our dogs, it’ll be much quicker.
The lady that took our dogs seemed to be really nice. She told us she will take good care of them.
Off they went… money we gamble away…
When we picked them up the next day, they seemed happy and ran into the same lady we dropped them off to. She was nice again.
The cost was $ 18 per dog, which is a steal compared to our usual $ 25-​$ 35 per night per dog through dogvacay.
When we left, they gave us a coupon for a FREE boarding for each our dogs the next time… WOW! FREE!!! That’s my favorite four letter F word!
Free hotel accommodations at Gold Country (due to our rewards), free dog boarding and only thing we need to spend is all our money on the gambling!~ What as steal of a deal!~

We consistently receive excellent service time after time over the past five years or more. The staff are very kind, gentle and welcoming. They’re eager to accommodate. I’ve called a number of times asking for boarding at the last minute. Availability is generally very good. I love it that my dog smells like a woman’s perfume in this past visit. I suspect my dog was cuddled while there which I believe may be true given the kind and sweet staff. The grounds are impeccable!

This was our first time boarding our dogs and they’ve just come home after a week at Foothill. They seemed well cared for and were not anxious or stressed and were sent home freshly bathed. We’ll certainly use Foothill again
