House of Heroes has all the world’s best comic books, graphic novels and games under one roof. We also carry a variety of toys, posters, t-​shirts and manga related merchansise.

History

Established in 2003.

Bob Larson and Scott Dercks opened House of Heroes in September of 1995 in a small store on Fulton Avenue. After one year we moved to a larger location at 538 N. Main St where we stayed for the next eight years. In 2004 we moved to 407 N. Main St which is more than four times the size of the original location.

This is a well stocked, clean, well-​lit comic books shop that I am glad is in Oshkosh. I am new to the area and used to San Diego comic shops (which have a good following due to Con), but did not feel like I was missing out when I found this shop. Current issues are on the shelves on time and in good condition. The back issues are not as robust as I might find, but they are no slouch here. I am looking forward to spending some time in here.

This place has the selection and staff knowledge that rivals anything I have seen from the huge comic stores in large cities. They are always well stocked, the staff is friendly, and they keep a large selection of other items on hand that any self respecting nerd would find appealing (t-​shirts, trinkets, posters, etc.).
I recently moved to Oshkosh from a large metropolitan area, and I also live right in downtown Oshkosh, so I must say that I feel quite spoiled having such a wonderful place within a short walk. Long live HOH!
