Gracelane Kennels

We have boarded our senior cat at Gracelane 3 times now and are completely pleased with the care she gets while she’s there. She requires a couple of daily medications, and they do a great job making sure her meals and medication dosages are the same as she receives at home. You can tell from the questions they ask that they have a great understanding of what is needed. They have a professional relationship with the vet we use, so should anything come up while we’re away, we know she’ll get the care we already trust.
The staff is friendly and professional and we are completely pleased to be their client.

My rescued Boston Terrier, Winston, has been with us for eighteen months and for that period of time we have taken no major vacation. Recently we had a wonderful invitation to Amsterdam and the question was: «Where would it be safe for Winston to stay?» Friends recommended Gracelane Kennels in Ossining, NY. I worried about Winston’s tendency toward separation anxiety, but the staff at Gracelane Kennels gave him such good care, he almost did not want to come home when I picked him up yesterday. Gracelane Kennels offers an air-​conditioned room, a sunny outdoor run area, and personalized diets for all their guests. Truly it is a comfort to know that Winston has a wonderful home away from home when we need it! Prices for boarding and extra walks are very reasonable! Chris, the Manager, and his whole staff are skilled and loving animal professionals!

This place is amazing! State of the art webcams so I was able to watch my dog while 3,000 miles away. They supplied the food which is a cost savings in its own and the staff was so caring for my dog. Highly recommend!

Been meaning to weigh in for a while now. We used Gracelane for my past golden retriever and now with our current golden, and every time I’m surprised by the fact that my dog seems so normal when I pick him up.
It’s hard to gauge if he was legitimately happy since he’s obviously away from his owner, but both dogs were in great mental and physical condition when I pick them up. I know the owners are very aware of everything that goes on, they know if a dog coughs, and they have video cameras that allow us to watch him during certain times. The facilities are very clean and the dogs have space to run.
We recently moved to NYC so now I’m seriously contemplating still driving my dog up since I like this place so much.

I had my newly adopted rescue stay here for two weeks. At first I was very hesitant to leave him since he suffered from separation anxiety, my husband and I were considering canceling our trip. This place was recommended by my Vet and I am so glad we listened and trusted our instincts. Not only did I have some peace of mind while I was away, he was very well taken care of AND he came back a different dog! Separation anxiety GONE! If I would have known all I had to do was bring him here, we could have saved $$$ on useless trainers. All that did was put a hole in my pocket and make my dog fat from the constant treat shoving down his throat.
I would recommend this kennel anytime, and I will definitely leave my dog here again!

hi, I wanted to share my very positive experience with Gracelane Kennels. I have two chocolate labs — one senior, one very active. I have tried other kennels in the Hamptons and in NYC, that always resulted in illness post a stay. I was a first time customer with Gracelane and I consider my labs my «kids». Additionally my senior has had spinal chord surgery. Chris and Bob were superb. Chris was always there to answer questions and they even placed the dogs in a quieter part of the kennel for me. Excellent customer service, and I was truly impressed to receive a follow up call from Chris after the dogs returned home after their first two and a half week stay. They also referred me to a lovely driver Alice who provided their transport back to NYC. She was also great. Thanks again and this is the only kennel I am using!

Fantastic experience. When it comes to my dog, I guess I’m a bit over protective. I always worry about him when he goes to a kennel. Gracelane made me feel extremely comfortable. When I first pulled into the property I was impressed with the large and modern facility. When I got my dog into the office the staff was extremely helpful and kind. They went through all the items I packed, making notes of medications. This was extremely helpful, because they actually caught a mistake with medication dosage I wrote on the bottle, which I’m extremely thankful for. The facility is extremely clean and spacious for every dog. It’s extremely impressive with how clean it is for such a large place. You could tell that the family that owns Gracelane truly cares about their work and each dog. I am extremely happy with this kennel, I absolutely recommend! And don’t forget to use the Unilocal promotions when you bring your dog in!!! I got 2 free dog walks!
The only criticism I do have for the place is the check in process. You walk into the office, but sometimes there are other people with their dogs in there. It was personally stressful for me, only because my dog doesn’t like other dogs. But this doesn’t at all change my overall experience at Gracelane!

I have used Grace Lane Kennels for more than two decades after it was first recommended highly by my friend and vet in NYC.
In the last year personal and family health problems necessitated boarding my two dogs for extended period of time. Because of where the dogs now spend their time (upstate in Catskill NY) it meant a 150 mile round trip drive to Grace Lane. So you know I really think highly of this kennel!
Grace Lane is family owned and operated by a family that cares about animals, knows what is important and are very responsible and responsive.
They can board two dog families together in larger quarters and their new suites offer web cams so you can check in with your pups now and then. My dogs have different diets, different medications and different temperaments — no problem at Grace Lane. While it is not a small kennel, it does achieve an impressive degree of intimacy so that the owners know their boarders and can always report on how they are doing.
Long story short; this is a model kennel and I would not hesitate recommending it.
It for your pet (s). They are very strict about vaccinations and of course that is in a pet owners best interest. And they have quick access to Vets in the area if need be.
I have no hesitation about recommending Grace Lane highly — of course its always best to see for yourself when you are entrusting your pet to someone and you may want to check it out in advance of making boarding reservations if you can. However, I am sure that if you do board a pet or two there you will likely become a fan.

The person who checked us in helped me load an ap on my iPhone that lets me check a webcam to see how my dog is doing. Such peace of mind!

Amazing!!! I have used these guys for years and never have had a complaint. They always treat my pets with such care.

This review is for the grooming: my little guy (a mini australian shepard) is really nervous and shy so we had never had him groomed. Chris assured me that Nicole, their groomer, would be very gentle and do a great job. I am so glad I listened to him! Nicole did an amazing job with Yogi, and he looks better than ever. I peeked in while she was trimming him and I was amazed at how calm he was with her! She really took her time and made him comfortable. I am so happy with how he looks, thanks again Gracelane!

After having some very disappointing experiences at other kennels in Manhattan, Westchester and the Bronx, we finally found Gracelane several years ago and it has been a home away from home for all our dogs ever since.
This is a warm and caring family run place. Every one of our dogs, we’re now on our third, Buster, has loved to to go there. Buster pulls us into the office. Their staff is attentive and professional. Our dog requires medicine, twice a day and it’s gladly administered here. The kennels are clean and we pick up our dogs as healthy as they went in, maybe even a little healthier, and clean smelling, as after five days they give them a bath. We can’t say enough good things about Gracelane. As dog owners know it’s hard to go away and leave your beloved dog behind unless you’re 100% sure they will be happy, healthy and well cared for. You can count on that at Gracelane.

Our doggies were happy to get back home but they received great care during their 5 nights at Gracelane… Nice facility and staff. We’ve used the kennel a few times over the past decade (we usually travel with our dogs). Thanks for giving our boy his meds and washing both before their check-​out.

Gracelane Kennels is a fantastic place for your pet’s. It’s family owned and operated which is much more comforting to me than leaving Scooter (my dog) at a franchised facility. Everyone that works there treats him as if he was their own. I know that when I’m on vacation Scooter is too. They have great outdoor runs and I never have to worry about him being bothered by other dogs. I know he’ll always be kept on his diet and given his meds. He always comes home clean and happy. I’m beginning to think he’d rather stay at Gracelane than come home!
I’m also excited to hear that they may be building new facilities this year for an even better stay.

I moved to Brooklyn about a year ago for my job, and was hesitant to board my dog at any of the smaller kennels located near where I live. due to space confinement & price per day for boarding.
After hours spent online laboriously searching for a kennel that would fit my financial and preferential needs I called Grace Lane Kennels, located in Ossining, NY, and spoke on the phone with one of the owners. After a few seconds, I felt as though I was speaking with one of my very best friends! The establishment is a family owner and operated business, and since I thrive (as does my dog!) on special personalized attention, I just could not get over how accomodating the Gatti’s were in every way! They answered all of my questions and told me a few anecdotal stories about some furry friends that have stayed with them over the years. They even have a specialized cat palace for feline overnight friends!
After my initial conversation, I went to their website (
) to look at the photos/​testimonials, and just could not pass up all of the positive feedback; called back immediately and booked a stay for my dog, Murphey. Since I live in Brooklyn, I was concerned about transportation, but the folks at Grace Lane offered a few Pet Transport options, and with the money I saved by booking outside of the city limits, I booked a transport with PetX (
— HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED!!) Jeff from PetX, picked Murphey up early in the AM prior to my business flight, transported her to Grace Lane where she romped in her own run, ate her own brand of food, and played with the many employees and other pups. After a week-​long stay, she was transported home with a grin on her face and a complimentary bath (which led to a grin on my face!!).
I’ve had many business trips since, and have always utilized the services offered by PetX and Grace Lane Kennels, because of the AWESOME service, standard of business, reasonable pricing, personal attention & because Murphey always seems to LOVE her stay at Grace Lane! I feel as though Grace Lane would be an optimal choice for anyone living in the Westchester and surrounding (yes, NEW YORK CITY, too!!) for all of your pet boarding needs. Boarding with Grace Lane was like boarding with FAMILY. 5 stars is as high as is offered on Unilocal,but believe me, I give them many, MANY more!
