I purchased my White Outdoor lawn mower(Briggs & Stratton motor) from them approximately 15 years ago and it’s still running. Had it serviced a few times by Ossining Lawn Mower and the service was top notch. Recently, I went there to purchase my Husqvarna chainsaw and the sale and service were, once again, outstanding. Great selection of outdoor products and the prices seem very fair. Not the most conveniently located shop as parking is sometimes a bit difficult but still highly recommended.

It is a convenient location for me and the price seemed right for a tune up on my Honda lawn mower($ 85, plus any parts). They were fast but when I picked up lawn mower it was $ 135 since they stated it was $ 50 in parts for things such as sharpen blades and spark plug. I told them I was quoted at $ 85 and no one called to say that any parts had to be replaced. I was informed that the $ 85 is the labor fee. They did take some money off but talked down to me and tried to compare it to getting a car tune up. I stated that when I get my car tuned it it includes basic things and they call me if something needs replaced. I feel that they were misleading and I am not going back. I don’t recommend this place.

One of the important criteria on a store that sells lawn mowers and snow blowers is in the service of these products. They have always been fair and knowledgeable in repairing the machines I have bought from them. I went in last week to buy a few products to insure that the blower would work well throughout the winter and the transmission oil, engine oil and even the shear bolts were all in stock and very reasonably priced.

Bought a Stihl chainsaw from them, and had them do a tune up and chain sharpening on another Stihl saw. Generally a friendly bunch who actually call you back. The purchase process was fine. They were sold out(right after Hurricane Sandy), but they took my name and called me when they got the saw I wanted in stock. The turn-around on my service job was pretty good(a few days). They called to let me know that the work was done. But when I got there to pick up the saw they couldn’t find the paperwork, had to hunt around to find my saw, and when I got home I found that the chain was drum tight. I’m not actually sure the saw was finished and ready to go. So I’m knocking off one star for that.
