OMG, was this the best fish n chips I’ve had in a long time. This restaurant knows how to cook fish and they change their oil regularly (you can tell) — very important! The place isn’t anything special on the outside, but who cares when the food is this good. They have hamburgers and other foods, but I wish they were in Orange County, CA and I would be a happy person. It’s reasonably priced, quick on the service and great food. Unilocal!needs to include this restaurant with their normal «restaurant» listing so you can find it. I wouldn’t have looked for this restaurant under «fish». Come-​on Unilocal!but this place where people can find it and enjoy their food. I should mention that the inside of the restaurant is a place where American Pickers would like to visit.

Very nice local restaurant. Very friendly staff with quick service and excellent food. Great prices. Our best find in this area so far. Just passing thru but we will remember this place and be back.

The best fish and chips this side of the cascades and plenty of it! All you can eat serves the biggest appetite, and quaint little area inside, looks like you stepped into an eatery on the coast, very very yummy!

We love the fish and chips here, fresh and tasty without heavy batter and grease. The hand made milkshakes are a real treat, with flavors you don’t find elsewhere (peanut butter, raspberry, etc). When we feel like having fish and chips, this is where we go!

As a kid I enjoyed it… but as an adult I do not see why anyone would go here unless it was out of convenience. The fish is mediocre and the burgers are basic… not sure why the locals are raving about it… guess they don’t get out much…

We’ve been coming here for years… I hadn’t been back there until tonight, after about 5 years.
The food is still amazing. The coleslaw was a little over dressed, but definitely still house made and fresh. Nothing is premade or breaded.
Probably the best seafood you can get for seafood. Sorry Red Lobster, you’re just no competition.

Hmmm, not sure if any of the previous reviewers ever had Ivars fish & chips! We found them rather flavorless. Peanut butter shake was fabulous! Bean soup was good & chowder «ok». Not sure if we’d go back for a burger or broasted chicken.

Great food, one of my favorite restraints. Very convenient considering there’s not many restaurants in that area. Great place for family’s to go. It’s never to crowded. Has very good fish and lots of other options.

Really good burgers, fish, and chicken. Fred’s burger is a huge beast of a meal.
The place doesn’t look that great on the outside but it is really eclectic and quaint on the inside with about every inch of wall space covered with something.

First review: Have been going here for years, since they opened, and I’ve yet to be disappointed. The Philly Cheese Steak, when on special, is to die for. Their East Farms burger is a must have is you are a meat lover. The fish is hand cut daily. Milkshakes thick and tasty.

After going here for years (see above) the past two times we went there the service was so ungodly horrible that we have decided to NEVER return. Having loud, obnoxious teenagers running your front of house while the owner is cooking, and is watching them act like jackasses in a crowded restaurant, is extremely unprofessional. The waitress was so rude, so, so rude, that I nearly walked out (only my hungry boys kept me seated). I commented on this via their facebook page, and their response (I’m assuming by the same rude, loud and unprofessional teenagers) was Oh well, it happens.

Ok so for a smaller town restaurant it’s not too shabby! Got the calamari and fries for 10.95, was pretty good. The sun was out so we ate outside and even though it was a hassle to move settings out there, the waitress was more than chipper while doing it. Friendly staff, good food!

I love going to this restaurant, the staff is genuinely nice people who are always there for the customers needs and the food is really good and you get an awful lot of food for your money, I love the country feel to this restaurant and it has a total laid back atmosphere, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone

It really is as good as it gets here. Small town feel, nice staff, and excellent food. The fish, fries, burgers, and milkshakes are all top notch. The chowder and fry sauce are awesome too :)

YUM good fried fish and chips and milkshakes! chowder was only ok, but everything else at the table got good reviews. cute mom and pop place with random stuff like old tools and mining maps and stuff on the walls. definitely will be going back.
