4J+1+1 RV Park

Perfect location, walk to heart of town, sites that back to running stream, clean bathrooms/​showers and laundry facility. Very happy we happened upon this place as it made our stop in Ouray perfect.

We recently stayed here for 2 nights. The owners/​managers were as nice as could be!!! They let us know the spot next to us would be open and to feel free to spread out if we wanted to.
The location was within walking distance to town, hot springs and very close to hiking trails.
My only dislike was being on a heavily traveled road. If you have a smaller RV, try getting a spot on the creek.

This place is perfect. Why spend 180 bucks for a room, that u won’t spend much time in, when u can spend 30 bucks and pitch a tent. Super easy to walk into town and stumble back at night, with a headlamp.

This was a wonderful campground for us. We had 2 class As traveling with 8 kids and 4 adults. The bathrooms were very clean and big and roomy. That made all the difference! We all showered every night in warm showers.
The campground was beautiful and right on the river. Being here in fall the changing colors made it amazing.
There was a clean laundry room and staff was nice and accommodated us for washing times.
Didn’t give all 5 stars because there’s not much playground for kids — just swings and not much grass area for them to play in. But we found a big park close and they walked to it when needed.

This is the third time that we have stayed at this campground. It is always been a great stay. The showers and bathrooms are always clean. There is laundry room available and also a TV room which is great when it rains and you are tent camping! The staff are very friendly and helpful. Close to town and the hot springs.

This place is precisely what we were looking for; hot springs pool (walkable), walking distance to Ouray, conveniently located, creek through the camp, satellite signal (in most sites), WIFI (heavy traffic at times), very clean RR, friendly staff, willing to accommodate, good price point ($ 30 for elec, $ 37 full service), pet friendly.
We were able to obtain 5 nights in same site without reservations. This park has a lot of returning campers for extended stays that reserve spots. Reservations would be wise at peak season if looking for multiple night stay.
Would have give the park a 5 if the grounds had more room with grass and less congested. The trade off was the proximity to town/​hot springs.
We camp in a class A and will definitely put this park on our potential return list. We loved the town for shopping (for the ladies), 4X4ing (for the men), saloons and eateries for pleasure.

I will not camp here again. The employees were extremely rude about quite a few things. I completely understand if someone can not help me when I ask a question. But there is a nice way to respond to questions.
The bathrooms were not clean and needed toilet paper.
The location is nice. You can walk or ride a bike to town and if you can get a spot on the river it is nice to sleep. But I have two young children and I thought the water was dangerous for them.
I will not stay here again although it’s a great location.

This was the third year that we camped here in our mini camper. We reserve the same space each year along the water. Coming from Arizona it’s such a treat to see green and hear the sounds of water rushing by.
We love this campground. It is paved, has trees, and one side is up against the mountain. The bathroom and showers are extremely well maintained. The shower always has hot water. There are washers and dryers and the office staff have always been helpful and friendly.
It is close to everything and reasonably priced. There is tent camping to large motor homes to 5^th wheels. Families, dogs all are welcomed and its just a pleasant experience and relaxing. We go for the off roading and love ending the day here.

Lived here for a couple of months until we bought and moved into our house in Ouray. The sites do not provide much tree coverage or privacy between sites, but the location is ideal with it being right in town.

This was exactly what we needed. Drove our pickup through Ouray and slept in the back. Can’t speak for how comfy the tent spots were– as we were not on the ground– but everyone seemed happy.
Bathrooms were spotless.
Quiet.
Beautiful view when we woke up.
Easy walk into town.
Easy walk to the Hot Springs Pool (which I highly recommend).
It is nestled right up against the mountains.
