Holiday Inn Express & Suites Overland Park

Nice looking hotel and clean — but… walls are PAPER THIN. I could hear neighbor’s entire conversation as well as people talking in the hall. Could even tell what show the neighbor’s were watching on tv — it was as if I was right there watching it. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Opened 3 years ago but it looks brand new. Hotel is located in a nice neighborhood with lots of restaurants and stores all around. Hotel is well maintained and squeaky clean. Room was a good size and decorated beautifully. Glad to have a mini-​fridge and microwave. Rented 2 rooms and my request for adjoining rooms was accommodated. Service was very friendly and they worked hard to make sure all guests were comfortable. Breakfast was great… scrambled eggs, sausage patties, biscuits and gravy, cinnamon rolls, oatmeal, cereal, fruit… The staff who serviced the breakfast kept everything stocked and clean and was super friendly. Great work all around! We will definitely return when visiting KC again.

Could not be more pleased w this property. It has every appearance of being 3 months old not the 3 years that it actually is.
The entire facility was very clean and VERY well maintained. Breakfast staff was very attentive with constant cleaning and refilling of food stations. Internet access was flawless.
The only downside was that a bench outside was broken! ;)
I’ll be back.

Water issues were non existent with my visit. I asked about it upon entering and it appears to be a common question from the previous reviewer, ha! Nice lady at the front desk said that’d been resolved months ago. I enjoyed my stay like most IHG properties without problems. They had a snack area to purchase simple bites and water, which was helpful because I forgot to pickup a gallon prior to arrival. I’d stay again!

Nice location but the hotel has a lot of issues. Make sure you ask whether they have the hot water issues fixed. I would suggest finding another location, the hotel seems to be seriously understaffed.

Nice clean and new, with new tv and nice fixtures and furniture. What I don’t like are the window treatments. They do not block out the glaring light from their signs and front door. Worse, the music outside the front door plays on and on and they do not know how to turn it off.
For 129.00 per night, seems that there is a lot of room for improvement.
