History
Established in 2005.
The original founders of New Day Yoga Studio believed in Yoga’s power to change lives. They came together from different parts of the world, from different Yoga disciplines, and from different life experiences to share a passion for, and commitment to, bringing Yoga to more people. They did not aspire to be businessmen or trendsetters; they were first and foremost students, teachers, and practitioners. They got on their mats to practice everyday — it’s how they lived and grew.
New Day Yoga Studio represents the vast knowledge and expertise of its original founders, as well as that of the many other teachers who have contributed their ideas, creativity, talent, and passion through the years. Today we honor our teachers as leaders of a modern Yoga resurgence that continues to bring this most mindful, most life-affirming practice to people of every shape and size, from every walk of life, and across the ages.
And so to them we say NAMASTE.
Meet the Business Owner
Stacy P.
Business Owner
A native of Kansas City, helping others improve their health and wellness has always been a passion for Stacy. She recently realized her dream of owning her own yoga studio when she became the owner of New Day Yoga Studio in May 2013.
Her humility and quick smile do not hide her knowledge of yoga, the body’s muscles and systems, and understanding of the human need to connect and feel safe and guided. She earned her BA at The University of Saint Mary, Leavenworth, graduated with honors as a personal trainer at MTTI Wellspring, and is a 500 RYT with Yoga Alliance. In addition she is a certified personal trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
Her passion for yoga helps her teach with compassion and kindness. Her skills at understanding biomechanics and auto-immune challenges came from her ability to help heal her fibromyalgia with her own yoga practice. Yet, she has been able and willing to master complex arm balances along with knowledge of breath and quiet yoga.
