I’m not really sure why this store has such a bad rating. My husband and I went here and were pleasantly surprised. The store is organized. The staff was friendly and helpful. Multiple people asked if they could help us find anything. They had everything we were looking for. Couldn’t ask for a better experience!

Why do I have to give this place one star? Here are all the reasons it doesn’t deserve even one: The prices are high The customer service is very lacking If something is broke they cannot fix it… What do I mean by that you may ask? let me tell you. Went to the checkout line and the light was on up above that indicates that a person is there to check you out and the girl told me «the register is broke I can’t fix something that’s broken!» Well Miss then how do you fix anything ever?! Also they are really slowly getting your order when you order something online.

I’ve frequented this Toy R Us location since the birth of my daughter. I’ve also been to a few Black Fridays here as well. Most recently I shopped on Thanksgiving/BlackFriday 2013. The lines were mostly dying down, but the store was still bustling with working people looking for that perfect deal to make Christmas special for their kids. That one specific deal that will make this holiday special for the children that bring so much to their lives. This may sound greeting-card-esque and a little cheesy. And I suppose it is. :-) This year I headed out in search of massive packs of diapers for only $ 10. If you have kids then you know this is a ridiculously good deal and that the cost of diapers really adds up. The doors opened at 5pm, but having hit this same sale last year we were confident that there would be plenty left. I was wrong. By the time I entered Toys R US at about 11pm, the place was still fairly busy and still very ripe with the stench and sounds of grown folks clamoring for their prized deal. And I mean this literally. Next year I will bring some of that good febreeze like in the commercial where they fill the van up with hot garbage. If it works there maybe it can mask the smell of 100s of adults that have been sweating in front of their stoves for hours and then doing a ten yard dash for a fury boom. The staff worked feverishly to keep the shoppers happy. Stocking depleted shelves and exhausted bins, moving carts, directing traffic. I asked if I had missed all of the diapers. The two gentleman holding down tiles stopped their conversation about a MILF a few feet away to help me. «Man, I saw a lady with like 12 boxes in her cart,» said the first kid. «Yeah, you missed it man. Because I’ve been seeing a lot of them go out the door. But you know Babies are us opens at like 5am today…» I was unimpressed by their support. I expected to have a firm answer. Not, the«sorta-kinda-yeah, man» stammering that I received. Regardless, I made my way through the crowd, looking for other deals. I left with four packs of diapers. Two each in sizes five and six. And while my son will not wear them anytime soon, I was still satisfied with my haul and the chance to stock my closet for the months to come. This place is typically fairly clean. And well stocked. The support staff at the registers are usually pretty indifferent. But they always remember to ask for that Toys R US point card, and to offer you the replacement program and batteries for your purchase. Too bad they don’t remember to smile or remember to thank you for your purchase. Don’t get me wrong! I’ll be back! As long as Catalina needs a Lalaloopsy Doll, or Rocco needs legos, I’ll be a Toys R Us Dad.

I do not like this store. Their prices are high, the store unorganized, and the workers are grouchy! You’d think being around all those toys would improve one’s disposition :). The store’s return policy is a moving target. They did however allow me to return a bicycle that no one could assemble properly including the bicycle manager but not without first making sure I was aware it was my fault. The one redeeming quality is, they are often the first to get whatever the latest toy/gadget is i.e., Skylanders & Legos. But they are also the first ones to sell out. I prefer the big box stores or web for pretty much anything I could purchase here.

I went in to do some early Christmas shopping for my nieces and nephews and I was so overwhelmed. Toys r Us is just not what I remember as a child. There’s absolutely more of everything, with things further segmented into age and category. Despite the clientele(kids running around), the store was remarkably clean and well looked after and at least once I was asked by a roving employee if I was finding everything I needed. Didn’t end up buying, but got some great ideas.
