Dermatology & Skin Cance R Surgery Center

I love Dr. Blatnoy. He was able to freeze to scars off my face. They healed extremely well. The second scar was caused by a dermatologist that decided to make an incision in my face, which went completely wrong. As an African-​American, having a good dermatologist is very important. I’ve found mine.

I’ve been going to dermatologists on and off for 16 years now, many highly qualified. A lot of my symptoms: acne, psoriasis have persisted into my adulthood, on and off success with treatments. My skin cleared up for a couple years but after moving down to Florida, my skin turned for the worst, I’ve been very upset/​depressed about it. I heard great things about Dr. Blatnoy and had very high hopes for my meeting with him.
Within the first 3 minutes of him walking into the room on my first client visit, he had written me THREE prescriptions that I’ve used in the past. I stated I had tried the creams before and my skin became immune to them, and he said try them again. He did not ask me: what I am using now? what I’ve used in the past? what my main problems are? what my questions are? I could tell after those 3 minutes, he wanted to be done with the appointment. I kept trying to ask him questions and he would give me non-​caring/​impolite answers back.
He was completely rude to me, I’ve been suffering since I was 13 years old, wasted so much money on products and doctor visits and I just needed someone to sit down and try to work things out to find more options… he left the room after FIVE minutes and wished me luck.
When I went to go fill the prescriptions, the medications were too expensive with my insurance so I called the office to request another option or if they had samples or coupons. Been two days, never received a call back. I will never go back to Dr. Blatnoy. I cannot believe he could treat a new client this way and charge $ 130 for a visit. I would expect at least 20 – 30 minutes of someone actually attentively listening… and trying to get to the bottom of my problems… instead of quickly prescribing medications. I’m so disappointed and have lost faith in doctors because of him.

Great office! Just recently had my annual skin exam. The whole experince was great from scheduling my appoitment to check out! The staff is very friendly and very nice! Dr Blatnoy is very professional vey nice and apears very knowedgeble. Unfrotunately I had to have a skin cancer surgery on my face and I was very worried. The surgery went great! No pain during or after surgery. My scar healed quickly and you can barely tell anything was done. I highly recommend this office to my friends and family and anyone else who is looking for excellent doctor!

Just to be clear… i am not a medical doctor. My screen name is from a character in the movie Idiocracy. I was simply a patient of Dr. Blatnoy for over two years. I was very happy with the service Dr. Blatnoy provided in general. His office is clean and his staff are attractive and professional. I would recommend Dr. Blatnoy for any procedure not involving more than one stitch. I had two procedures that required more than one stitch. They both looked terrible. The edges did not line up properly and I was left with a great deal of unnecessary scarring. My brother is a first year resident at a out of state hospital. When he saw the stitches that Dr. Blatnoy put in, he advised me to find a different dermatologist. I will no longer be seeing him.

I’ve visited Dr. Blatnoy several times at the Dermatology & Skin Cancer Surgery Center. His office help is very friendly and always calls to confirm my appointments before they occur. They are also very helpful about rescheduling appointments with notice when you run into a problem.
At each visit, he inspects problem areas I’ve noticed and checks for other areas that might be problems based on his knowledge. He usually either removes the problem spot or takes a sample for testing.
I’ve had my results back quite promptly and he’s advised me about skin care and treatment of the areas that he has treated. The rooms are always looked clean and sterile.
The office has several chairs and lots of magazines, but wait time has always been pretty minimal.
They handle billing my medical insurance, Blue Cross, for me.
He prefers appointments, I believe, but once when I was confused about my appointment date and time, he still saw me when I showed up.
